not quite what it seems

I guess the web site is accurate but it is not quite as seems. The furniture is older, than in photos. The rugs are old, dirty beige and there are many stains. The bamboo flooring has many chips. The glass cooktop needs a good cleaning with stovetop cleaner and scraper - we did not use it. There was hair and dust caught between the glass covering and dining table. The shower curtain had black mold at the bottom. There was sign in bathroom saying please use the make remover provided; when I opened they were so old -completely dry - useless. Parking is not in a secured area; in fact in parkade next door. One of the elevators was broken so only one working elevator for 14 floors. Also note at elevator saying don't jump while inside elevator. What does that mean? Before we arrived, the property manager never bother to inform us that during our stay the building was being checked for fire safety. When we got there we found a sheet of paper that said fire bells would be ringing intermittently from the 12 to 14th (our entire stay), that someone would be entering apartment to check it sometime, and the water would be shut off for two hours in the morning on one of the days we were there. We had no notice of this when booking. nor before arriving. Apparently this is done once a year so they must have had known when taking our booking. The location is ok but right next to a youth hostel and a drug clinic in same block. and was noisy at night, but is was in downtown so we expected noise. It's close to everything plus a Tim Hortons right next door. .

Downtown getaway

We wanted a place downtown so we could walk to restaurants and warf, this place was perfect. The condo was clean, modern , great security, free parking, very spacious. Will definitely stay again.

good location and good areas sizes inside of the condo

it was good, I can easily recommend it. the location is great, the only bad is the Johnson street between douglas and Blanshard is not great as the rest of the neighborhood..... in the condo....just the sofa looks old, the linens should be newer....

Nice spot, bad beds, terrible neighbors, like being in a Frat House

Nice spot, beds to hard, the people below were smoking what a appeared to be pot and was sucked into our condo by air conditioner, they kept my son wake most of the night parting, I was more of like being in a Frat House, too bad we had high hopes for a relaxing time, Other people were also arguing a lot, loudly. Rooms were clean, good location.

Beds were hard and people below made it seem like we were in a frat house

the beds were hard and the people below partied a lot, the smoke which appeared to be pot was sucked in by the air conditioner and the people partied till the early hours which made it impossible for my son to sleep. Nice location but the terrarce below made it terrible for us. Maybe we should have yelled at them.

View of the city and convenient location

First of all the check in and check out instructions were very easy to follow. We did the remote to check in and help was a phone call away if we needed it. Comfortable beds and lovely decor. Could use an air conditioner in the condo for those sunny days. We did use the fans that were provided while we slept. Great location, though not quite as close to the wharf as we had anticipated. We had our car so it worked out. So close to all the touristy things we wanted to do – Beacon Hill Park, the wharf, the Castle, Crust. bakery and Chinatown. A block away from the grocery store made buying our essentials very convenient.

Condo was nice

Management company was very difficult to work with both before we arrived and during our stay! I would never book thru Victoria Vacation Rentals again.
