Beautiful view, but bad experience

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love this cabin and have been staying here for a few years. The view is amazing and the cabin has everything we need, but this year, disappointed unfortunately. Arriving in April, it was fully decorated for Christmas which was a bummer for our spring break. I called and they said they were going to do it after we left. Our hot tub had chunks of filter and bugs floating in it. Also said that wasn’t an issue. Many key light bulbs were out and she didn’t want address that either. Just disappointed in their lack of customer service and they didn’t really care that we had a good stay.

We have rented here several times; it is always very clean. It is also beautifully decorated and comfortable. We did a lot of hiking and biking - did we ever enjoy that jacuzzi at the end of each day!That was a treat.

45th Anniversary Getaway

We have never been disappointed with Cove Mountain Reality or with our experience in the mountain communities. Hiking, biking, shopping and relaxing with nature are the highlights of our trip. This was our first time staying in the Run for the Hills cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to be comfortable, and the views were spectacular.

AMAZING!!

We are in love with this beautiful cabin and it’s spectacular views! Super clean, updated, beautiful interior and a large deck. Great communication with the host. Before we left we were already talking about when to come back.

Great Location and Views

We enjoyed this cabin for a short stay with our kids before they headed back to college. Cabin had all we needed and this location in convenient for both G'burg/Pigeon Forge area and the Townsend / Smokies side as well. Clean, comfortable, and close to where you are going. Views from the large deck are beautiful and the chairs out there are comfortable. We would plan to visit again. THANKS !

It's comfortable, has all the amenities we'd like, and has giant windows to see the awesome view. Sadly the view is starting to get blocked by trees just beyond the deck. In another year or two, you won't be able to see into the distance.

Amazingly Perfect!

The view is breathtaking, very clean with every amenity you can think of, we felt at home. Beautifully decorated for fall, I would love to see it at Christmas! Check in was so easy. Did I mention the hot tub? Perfect location and the temperature was perfect! My only suggestion would be if the house number could be on the sign with the other, it was a little challenging to find because we didn’t see the house name at first. It doesn’t discourage us from staying here again, just thought it was worth mentioning. We can’t wait to return to “Run To The Hills”!!!

Very clean cabin. Newly updated showers, sinks. Kitchen was stocked with anything we could possibly think of. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view from the deck. It appears from the ad for this cabin that the parking area has been enlarged (based on previous complaints). It must have been REALLY tiny because even after the expansion, it is still a small area. My husband and I drove separately due to work commitments and there was absolutely no way we could fit both my minivan and his truck in the parking area. Thankfully our friends were staying in the cabin down the hill so we parked one vehicle there.

Christmas in the Smokey’s

We had a wonderful stay at Run to the Hills cabin! With Covid we came prepared to wipe down all hi touch surfaces and when we did it was clear the cabin was already very clean! We’ve stayed in This cabin before and the new owners has made some nice updates. The Wifi is better for sure! Also has Xfinity cable which worked so much better than the old satellite. Plenty of nightly Christmas movies! The owners also has the cabin decorated beautifully for Christmas. I was hoping there would be some decorations and we weren’t disappointed!! Don’t be surprised by the properties very friendly squirrel, he was fun to watch and it’s clear he’s used to guests. We got some great pictures of him exploring outside. The cabin has stunning mountain views, some of the best we’ve had at a cabin in the area. We can highly recommend this property!

Great Tme

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at the cabin and had no issues getting in. The code worked the first time. The cabin was very clean and laid out nicely. The beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was really nice. There are stairs behind the hot tub that a bear can easily access, there should be a better way to block those off. The only other real issue was the floors were extremely squeaky. I went to get water at night and the floors in the living room area were very very loud. Other than these issues the cabin was great and the views were outstanding. We used the grill every night. The last night, we got a visit from a bear (cub). He walked on the neighbors deck then came to ours and jumped up on the door, then wandered off. Just looking for food.
