Denna tysta 400 kvadratmeter stora stugan sitter vid den blå-kaklade poolen och erbjuder en perfekt vila plats efter en hel dag av aktiviteter eller en sömnig dag på stranden. Det finns ett badrum och pentry med stor kyl, mikrovågsugn och brödrost.

Studion är fristående från ägarhuvudbyggnaden och har en egen sidoingång och särskild parkeringsplats. Kom och gå som du vill. Gästerna har full användning av poolen, pooldäck, och privata Lanai för uteservering. Trådlöst internet och kabel-TV / BluRay tillgänglig.

Mindre än två minuters promenad till slutet av gatan kommer du till världsberömda Kailua Beach, som nås via en privat grind. Och några minuter körning tar dig till downtown Kailua, där du kan njuta av god mat, shopping och den unika känslan av en av de sista sanna kuststäder.

Tranquility at it's best

Outstanding vacation retreat. Great location for visiting all the sites on the island. The accommodations are quite comfortable and provide all one needs for a great get away. The host family is just amazing.

Best deal on the beach

The guest house was perfect and private. And very well appointed. Bob thought of so many details - cooler, beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, extra linens, lots of clothes hangers. The walk to the beach was quick down the lane. Too close to the beach for such a low price. We will try to get this place again if we come back to HI

could not have been better

Super clean, close to beach, just as in pictures. Owner very accommodating as TV went out and he rushed out to buy a new one. We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this by far was the most convenient to everything. Suggestions for eating and sight seeing were spot on. Thanks Bob and family for a great time. Perfect Little Pool House!

My husband and I absolutely loved this quiet little pool house in Kailua! Beautifully finished with everything we needed, we couldn't have been happier! The owners are a wonderful family and made us feel right at home while giving us total privacy. The cottage has brand new appliances, dishes, linens, towels, BBQ, induction hot plate, blender, beach chairs and even wifi and Netflix. It was a great location to come home to after exploring the island. We loved the beach town of Kailua, Lanikai Beach, the drive to the North Shore, Turtle Bay Resort, Hanauma Bay, Manoa Falls Hike and the Makapu (lighthouse) Hike to watch the sunrise. So much to do, we wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks for showing us the true island hospitality : )

It was perfect!

The place was just as described. The bed was super comfortable. We had everything we needed for the beach (chairs, umbrella, towels and cooler) and to cook/bbq our own meals. The beach was a few steps away, and it was gorgeous! It was a great location for groceries and restaurants as well as a home base for driving excursions to the north shore and all the other sights we wanted to see. Afters spending a few days in Waikiki - it was so nice to spend most of our time on this side of the island. Bob was great and was very quick to respond if we had any questions/concerns. You can't go wrong with this rental. First time using HomeAway and so happy with our experience :)

Just what we needed

We knew it was going to be good from the interactions with Bob and from the pictures on the posting- but none of that actually tells you how quickly we felt welcomed. Sometimes when you meet people, there is an immediate “this is good,I want to spend some time getting to know them” moment. That was true here. Bob and Roni and Gardie are wonderful people, interesting and interested. There are not many times in our lives when we have been able to wear shorts and T-shirt’s and sit looking at the pool while we decide when to walk less than 2 minutes to a gorgeous beach. Heavenly! The cottage was comfortable and within 5 minutes, we felt at home. We ate our meals on the porch, watching the birds and enjoying the sunshine. It was a perfect vacation for us- we spent hours walking and swimming and relaxing. It is a wonderful place with great people - it’s hard to top that! Thank you again for sharing with us!

Quiet guest cottage in Kailua

After spending the first three days of our trip in busy Waikiki arriving at Bob and Roni's charming guest cottage felt like a breath of fresh air. We usually vacation in Maui and were hoping that the windward side of Oahu and the town of Kailua would feel as laid back and relaxing as our favorite island. It did not disappoint. The cottage had everything we needed for the five days we stayed. The private garden with a charming pool was really a delight to return to each day after exploring the island of Oahu. I particularly enjoyed getting up each morning and opening the doors to let the tropical breeze blow through and eating my breakfast outside by the pool. The bed was comfortable and the ceiling fan provided a nice cool breeze to sleep under each night. The only perhaps negative thing I would like to mention is that the shower curtain rod in the bathroom is quite rusty and makes it difficult to pull the shower curtain across. I only mention this because I think that Bob and Roni obviously put a lot of thought and care into making their guests comfortable and would appreciate the feedback. Overall we would definitely recommend this tranquil oasis and hope to return one day soon.

Wonderful host and property

I actually booked Bob's place for another couple, very last minute. My husband was racing our sailboat in the Pacific Cup race from San Francisco to Kaneohe, Oahu. One of our crew member's girlfriend decided to fly out to surprise him. She called me and I needed to scramble to find accommodations for them within two days! Kailua is a very popular area, and the minute I viewed Bob's place I immediately booked it. I could tell by the other reviews that it was the perfect place for a couple to relax, close to the beach and where we were staying. Bob was wonderful to work with. He communicated quickly and throughout the booking and checking in process. This was a wild weather event with Hurricane Darby beating down on the boats and the island. It was downgraded to a tropical storm, but it packed a punch with rain and wind. Bob was very helpful with our friends, always there to help, but offering full privacy for them in the cute and comfortable guest house. They loved it, even in the rain! That's saying something. They loved the pool (when it did finally stop raining) and the close by Kailua beach. They really liked meeting Bob and loved the experience. I would book it again without hesitation.

Not worth your money!

Dear Vacationer. Hawaii was a wonderful experience but this tiny guest house was not worth the money at all! First, I was not given the proper basic info initially during booking! As of which island is the guest house is on?! It say’s Kailua, HI! Which was confusing because There is another town with the same name in Kona! Please be aware! This guest house is in Kailua, OAHU, Honolulu! Which resulted of me purchasing 2 tickets one going to Kona airport and the other to HNL! Home owner failed to mention this important information which costed me an extra ticket that he refuses to refund! Second What you see is not what you get! It’s missing a laundry facility and a cooktop and privacy! Even though it is powered by solar power he had the yard pitch black after dark! Third! If you plan on sleeping in on your vacation…well he advised you won’t be able to do so! The pool filter is so loud it won’t allow you to relax … the filter is flush to the room wall and it kinks in super LOUD from 9:00 AM-4PM!! Fourth, In the picture it shows a nice open pool…but once you get there it’s all FENCED-UP and there is a BIG FILTER HOSE inside the pool which makes it uncomfortable and annoying to swim in! Fifth, this property and the surrounding properties had Gardner’s on each day of the week which made it so very loud to relax and to enjoy the room! NO PRIVACY! LOUD!

Great location, a little low on privacy

This is a lovely little cottage in the owner's backyard. The yard is just a bit bigger than the pool. The neighborhood is high-end with a private entrance to a stunning beach on Kailua Bay. The cottage is small but has nicely painted concrete floors, a tiny kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, inexpensive coffee maker, and microwave but no stove (hot plate), and a beautiful full bathroom. The two French doors and lots of overhead windows let in a nice breeze. The queen bed was comfortable. There was a gas grill available for cooking. The TV was so-so but you don't go to Kailua to watch TV. One big draw was the pool, but it is not the exclusive use of the renters. The owner told me his teen daughter and her friend might use it, but they didn't. I really enjoyed my stay. It was just awkward from a privacy perspective having to walk on the side of the house past the open windows where the family was having dinner or watching movies or having conversations. I didn't look and I doubt they were looking at me but they could see me come and go to the beach or dinner. From the back patio door, I could see a family member using what appeared to be a computer and felt strange sitting in their backyard. I stayed 8 days and got used to it after a couple of days, but it wasn't as private as I would have liked. It might not bother other people though. The owner was very respectful and did not come out into the backyard during my stay. All-in-all, it's a wonderful little place, especially for one person.

Perfect!

Everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. Well equipped-there isn’t a stove/oven but there is a hot plate and grill for use. The cottage was a short walk to the beach where we walked and watched the sunrise every morning m. Bob was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Can’t wait to return!

Vacation in Paradise

My wife and I went to Hawaii for our honeymoon and truly enjoyed this wonderful vacation rental! The home is only a 2 minute walk to the beach, which is accessible via a private walkway. Thanks to this and the fact that it isn't near the public parking area, we had a very private and exclusive slice of paradise to ourselves! We saw a few people walking the beach, but otherwise it was quiet and peaceful. The neighborhood where the rental is located is very peaceful as well. When we did interact with locals they were all very nice. Several neighbors waved to us and said hi. The oasis this location offers is perfect for relaxing, a much appreciated difference from Waikiki. The place was extremely clean and well kept, and is and the perfect amount of space for 2 people on vacation. It was great having a kitchenette because we were able to save some money on food. Bob has provided everything you could need and more! He was kind enough to let us use beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, a beach umbrella, boogie boards, and a rain umbrella, all of which came in handy. It was great having these items to use and not having to worry about renting or returning equipment. Bob and his wife were very kind and friendly! We often spoke with them briefly if we ran into them while leaving or coming in and they provided some great tips on the best spots to enjoy. They also respected our privacy, so it was a perfect balance for us between interacting with the host and having our own space. He is very easy to communicate with and responds very quickly. Overall, we absolutely loved staying here and hope to do so again for our next stay. I can't say enough about the awesome hosts and their wonderful home!

Our No.1 place to stay , paradise far away from home

This was our 2nd stay inthe cottage. We missed nothing in this clean and very good equipped cottage. We enjoyed the pool very much. We felt like at home again. The owner is a great represetative of his country. Thank you fot one werk vacation in your paradise.

Cozy little east side cottage

Bob was very warm and welcoming. He made the entire process so easy and streamlined. The location is very convenient to travel between Honolulu, the airport, and all north side locations. Kailua Bay and the nearby beach are gorgeous. Perfect sandy beach, no rocks to stumble on. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, whether it is a drive along the coastline or through the mountains. Nice little getaway from the craziness of Waikiki and Honolulu.

Comfortable and close to beach

We really loved staying in this studio cottage. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was a good supply of linens, a big closet with hangers, and A/C that was quiet, clean and effective (but didn't need to be used all the time because of good ventilation from many windows). The beach is a half a block away, and the pool was a real bonus, plus the lanai for outdoor eating, and lots of outside hooks for drying out towels and swimsuits. Bob and his family were truly gracious too, while also giving us a lot of privacy.

We had a fantastic time. Easy access to the beach, shopping and highways.

The owners are very nice. They have the cottage set up very cute. Kitchenette was clean and nicely stocked with newer items. Relaxing by the pool was lovely. Extra amenities like beach towels, chairs and other items were very appreciated! We highly recommend visiting this property. Aloha

Home away from home.

This was our second stay and I hope not the last. It feels like home to us. Bob and Roni always make us feel at home. The beach is literally steps from the cottage. We loved opening the doors and keeping them open to let the trade winds cool the cottage. We also enjoyed the new AC! Mahalo Bob and Roni.

A beautiful cottage with great amenities in an awesome location!

We are so grateful that we found this wonderful cottage to rent. Everything about our vacation was sublime. Bob and Roni are so kind, knowledgeable, welcoming, and attentive. There'd been no one in the cottage the night prior to our arrival and Bob generously allowed us to check in early, which was perfect since our flight arrived at 6:30 a.m. We stopped for a few groceries and a bottle of wine on our way over and immediately felt at home when we arrived. The cottage looks great in photos but it's even more impressive in person. Set in a lovely garden, the private cottage has ample storage and appealing decor. It has AC but we never needed it -- the fresh air through the windows was just right and allowed us to hear the breeze through the palms. The proximity to the beach is amazing. We went to the beach at least twice a day to enjoy the soft sand and soak in the views. Bob and Roni gave us great suggestions for local restaurants, hikes, and activities. All of their referrals were spot-on and we appreciated being able to text Bob with questions. The neighborhood is very safe and peaceful yet it's only a few minutes to drive to a great town. Staying there was a dream come true. I wish we could go back right now! Mahalo!
