Private, 1BR, 1BA, basement suite with laundry and full kitchen suite. Air conditioned house with high speed wifi. Close to mountains, ocean, beaches, city & more. A few minute drive to world-famous Grouse Mountain where you can ride the gondola up the mountain. Edgemont Village, Ambleside Beach, Capilano Suspension Bridge and more. Cool in the summer and warm in the winter this suite is cozy any time of year. Quiet, family-oriented neighbourhood with a corner store and cafe one block away. We are a young family with 7 & 9 year olds who are fairly quiet and respectful. We have two small dogs that are friendly. Neither kids nor dogs will interfere with your stay but we feel that guests would appreciate knowing our friendly family dynamic prior to booking.

Vancouver Trip

Excellent basement suite! Had everything that we needed to stay in Vancouver for a few days for our vacation! Easy check in, location is superb and very comfy beds! No complains! Highly recommend!

Great apartment

We had a very nice, relaxing stay at this property. Everything was very clean and bright. Very comfortable furniture in the sitting room plus the bed was nice & large and very comfortable . Also a great location for us - very nice neighbourhood. It was nice to be away from the city centre. No problem with parking.

Simply amazing

We enjoyed every single aspect of our stay at Colin’s basement apartment. From checkin to checkout all worked flawless. The apartment is cozy and is equipped with everything you might need. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and per se worthy to be visited. Absolutely recommend.

Nature Lover's Paradise!

My partner and I recently stayed here on an anniversary trip to Vancouver. From the moment we arrived, we felt a special energy in the air. The house is located in a beautiful neighborhood full of large trees and covered in plant life. Colin and Niki are fantastic hosts, kind, generous, and respectful. MacKay Creek (a lush scenic hiking trail less than a 5 min walk from the front door) is a must see during your stay. The suite is comfortable and well appointed with a full kitchen + laundry that makes it perfect for an extended stay. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Better than a hotel!

A spacious apartment attached to a family home, in a quiet, leafy area of North Vancouver. The host, Colin, was polite and helpful and made my stay very comfortable. I was apparently the first guest to have stayed there and I only stayed overnight. However, I feel this would be excellent base for a longer stay in Vancouver, whether for work or vacation, as it is well-situated near to shopping, dining and access to the city of Vancouver proper. The only potential concern I can think of would be if one has any serious mobility issues, as there is a steep flight of stairs leading to the apartment. A great place! Highly recommended! Thank you Colin for making my stay easy and comfortable!

Nicer than it appears

The photographs really don't do this place justice. It actually is nicer and more up-to-date than it looks like in the photos. Colin and Nikki were super nice hosts, and checked in with us halfway through the stay to make sure our needs were being met. Pros: Great location if you want to be on the north shore. Close to marine drive where the major shops are, as well as the bridge into downtown Vancouver. We loved the quick access to the mountains, as well as all the north short beaches. There is a Walmart only 5 minutes away which was very convenient. Lots of ample street parking. The apartment is rather new, and comes with an excellent dishwasher, microwave, toaster, stove, and nespresso machine, plus ample dishes, cutlery, pots and pans. Cons: Keep in mind that this is still a basement apartment, so sunlight is limited. It didn't matter much to us since we weren't there to hang out in the apartment. There are stairs up from the street and then down to the basement. This wasn't an issue for us, but something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. If you are heading into downtown or beyond, keep in mind that traffic on the bridge can turn what would otherwise be a short trip into a 45 minute drive.

We are a young family who've lived in this neighbourhood for 10 years now. We like to travel and meet new people and are grateful for the hospitality that we've received when we travel. We enjoy being able to return the favour to our guests as we really love when these experiences become some of the fondest memories of the travels and adventures.

We love the community and all the adventures that are just out your doorstep. The beaches in the summer and the mountains in the winter and everything in between. We're really lucky to live here and hope that you'll enjoy everything that our hometown has to offer.
