To say we were impressed with this cottage is an understatement. From getting fresh-baked cookies and wine at check-in, to getting a whole beach setup when we mentioned going to Folly Beach, Margie and Sid outdo themselves to make sure your trip is memorable! The cottage is tucked away in the backyard, it was very quiet and peaceful when we were there. The location is great! About 15 minutes from downtown Charleston, about 20 minutes from Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach. I wouldn't stay anywhere else if visiting Charleston. Lovely place, small but had everything we needed to eat breakfast in. Bed was comfy, but pillows were not. (I always bring my own.) amenities were pretty impressive with a large, unheated pool, a hot tub, and a golf cart at your disposal. The best feature was its location within walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. Lovely neighborhood. We recommend the Sea Buscuit, Coconut Joe’s and farther afield, the Wreck of Richard and Charlotteand, farther afield

Excellent property in the best location we could ask for. Tons of restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops and shopping within blocks. The house itself was clean, well laid out and had everything we needed. We’ve stayed on upper King Street before but we enjoyed this location much better. Property management was great too.

This Shem Creek Studio was everything we could have hoped for and more. Jackie & Chris were so friendly and thoughtful, and I can't say enough about the gorgeous views right outside the windows of the studio. The property was absolutely stunning. After long days of exploring the Charleston area it was so nice to be able to come back to the studio, sit outside and unwind, and simply enjoy the peaceful tranquility while watching the sunset. We'd definitely stay here again - highly recommended!

The carriage house on Broad St is a great location! Linda & Ruthie were great communicators, friendly & hospitable. The house is clean, comfortable & was great for 4 people! It was home away from home! Would stay again & highly recommend!!

What a perfect location to explore all that downtown Charleston has to offer. Literally right across from the old market. Place was clean. Bed super comfortable. Lots of space to put clothes and things away. Great shower. Highly recommend for people traveling alone or as a couple.

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my sister’s bachelorette. The property had so much space for our large group and plenty of beds that every person was comfortable and had a bed to sleep in. The back deck with pool was perfect for laying out and enjoying the beautiful weather. The beach was an easy walk from the house. The only issue we had was the property was still being cleaned when we checked in and we had to wait an hour past when we should have been able to check in before we could bring our stuff in and get settled. Overall, we had an amazing time during a 4 day stay and highly recommend this property!

This apt in the French Qtr is simply amazing. The location was 'in the action" yet quiet and private. The personal touches provided by Ruthie were like none other. This is a very special place and we will return!
