  • Cottage Mary Rose

"Magical, mystical, memorable! My stay far exceeded anything for which I could have hoped! The cottage was neat, clean, and well-prepared, and Irish Soda Bread on the large wooden kitchen table welcomed me. Stunning gardens and Hydrangeas, Cosmos, and Roses were softly stellar. Baskets of flowering plants at windows and on the ground charmed. A nice deck connected the cottage’s backdoor with a lovely stream—relaxing, soothing. The red trim theme of the exterior was continued inside by a delightful red antique stove in the kitchen that was balanced by a red sofa and chair in another part of the cottage. Impressive. The mammoth fireplace with its massive cross-beam became one of the favorite aspects of my stay. I often reclined on the over-sized padded antique bench, leaned back on the pillows, and enjoyed the fire. Another touch that made it feel like I was borrowing a friend’s get-away instead of being in a rental was the ideal sprinkling of antique photos blended with family photos. A soft rain fell one afternoon, then the sun broke through to highlight the flowers and plants. The effect? As if liquid diamonds had blown into the gardens—magical. In the evenings, I dimmed the lights with dimmer switches. Warm, relaxing, almost mystical. The large brass bed was another plus. As soon as I snuggled into the plush bedding on the ideal mattress, I drifted into a deep sleep. No review would be complete without mentioning the caretakers of Cottage Mary Rose! They didn’t only take care of the physical property, but served as outstanding host and hostess, as well. In the wee hours of the morning I was leaving, while stirring the dying orange embers, a song I hadn’t heard for decades floated through my mind. At first, I couldn’t quite place it. Then I realized it was the end of the finale to Camelot: Don’t let it be forgot That once there was a spot For one brief shining moment that was known As Camelot. I doubt that any place or experience could ever come closer to life in Camelot than my stay at Cottage Mary Rose!"

  • Excellent

"The house was amazing. There were seven of us. Two couples and two singles. We all had rooms to ourselves. The amenities the house has is wonderful. The beach is within walking distance, which is a plus. We sat outside on the patio at night and you could just hear the waves, it was so relaxing. We would love to stay here again."

  • AWESOME home away from home!

"I stayed in Sigi and Manfred’s condo for a month this summer while considering a permanent move to AZ. Immediately upon our arrival we were made to feel right at home. The condo was meticulously maintained and designed. We did not want for anything from the well stocked fridge to the full pantry and drink cabinet. Even toiletries and towels were overstocked. They thought of everything we could possibly need including noodles for the pool. Nice touch! The patio off the living area was our private oasis. The waterfalls from the main pool could be heard from the patio off the kitchen area. Both calls for minor issues made were responded to immediately. The location of the condo could not have been any better. Close to all major highways we could also walk to nice restaurants, Paradise Valley Mall, smaller stores and one of our favorites, REI. All are right across the street. The grounds and pools were exceptionally maintained. The neighbors we met while walking the grounds and in the pools were very friendly. And I have never seen so many hummingbirds…Anasazi Village must be on a stopover before their migration further south for the winter months. I was able to stay there again the following month while I closed on my house in Mesa. Sigi and Manfred were so personable and we quickly became friends. They had such good ideas and tips for my new house and I can’t wait to visit them when I make my next trip there. I am so glad I got to share the joy of buying my next house with them."

  • Wonderful!

"This was our first time in Puerto Vallarta! It will not be our last one either. We found the condo to be very comfortable especially the beds. They were high quality and very nice to come home to after a day of walking the town and sight seeing. We had plenty of room for the 4 of us. We were about two blocks from old town and a block off the beach. At night we could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The house keeper came in on a daily basis so everything was neat and clean, fresh towels and even fresh sheets midweek. Can't complain about anything. The manager of the building helped us with a small issue with the DVR. He got it working just fine and we enjoyed several movies. We would highly recommend this unit. OH! I would like to recommend a couple of restaurants for you. They are Oscar's, which in just over the bridge to the North and then the Ocean Grill. The Ocean Grill is on the side of a cliff and accessible only by boat. It was an awesome trip and a wonderful experience."
