  • Great Summer Rental Home!

"My husband and I brought four teenagers to this amazing house and had a wonderful time! There was room for everyone to either spend time together or get plenty of elbow room to be alone. It felt like the owners had thought of everything when creating this lovely rental...lots of towels, extra blankets and pillows. There was a new sponge for cleaning dishes and brand new bars of soap for the showers, as well as laundry soap and a spare propane tank for the BBQ. Everything worked nicely, and there must be a nice water heater because even after all 7 of the others taking a shower I was still able to get a nice hot shower myself. The owner had a lot of great tips, suggestions and websites she offered about our visit. Echo Lake is very close to the house, and has a really nice trail that is part of the Pacific Crest Trail. It was really fun to cross paths with so many serious hikers! Afterward, we grabbed the water taxi back down to our starting point and were able to grab some food at the store. We also kayaked on Echo Lake because it was so much more serene than Tahoe. It was an awesome experience! Very peaceful and of the few people we passed on the water, everyone was very friendly. That might have been the highlight of our trip! One of the best things about this house was being away from the busy-ness of South Tahoe but still being able to get to things easily. We rented a boat at Camp Richardson, visited the Tallac Historic Site and spent some time at The Shops at Heavenly Village, all without feeling like we had to drive that far. All in all, a great location and a really well maintained rental house to call home for your Tahoe adventure."

  • Very nice updated unit

"Easy access - no door key required, garage for winter, front unit has the million dollar view of the lake and mtns, enjoyed the high end kitchen with the gas stove. We looked at the other Lake Forest units and it didn't seem like the others had been updated as much, the top front units have the easiest access only 8 steps to the entrance, and that view is amazing from the rooms or on the deck."

  • Great location. Walking distance to some great restaurants. Clean and comfy.

"We had great time and Jeff was so responsive, even had a locksmith come out on a Sunday night when the back door lock wouldn't catch. Place is clean and comfortable and we lived sitting on the front porch and watching the the river."

  • Escape from the heat!

"We came up for our second visit this year. The house is comfortable and convenient. We enjoyed visiting the waterfalls and making a trip to Cashier and Sapphire Valley. The restaurants are always fun. We especially enjoyed tasting a variety of wines at the new wine shop in town."
