  • Lost in Paradise

"We ( 2 adults and a dog) spent 1 week in Casa Lume and we would have loved to stay longer...and longer... The road from Toscolano into the Paper Mill Valley upto the house is already special. The house is situated at the very end of the valley and it is so nice and quiet out there! During the day you might see or hear some people walking in the valley but when these few tourists are gone you are all alone surrounded by sounds of nature. We found the house spotless clean, comfortable and cosy. You will find all the equipment you might need. Around the house plenty of space: you can sit or lay back in the shadow or in the sunshine, or even with your feet in the water of the small river. There are bikes you may use, all kind of games; for every age there is something! And of course there is adventure in nature around! Our dog felt at home and he loved walking around the house and barking a bit at the donkeys. ( they didn't mind, just made some noise too). Walking the dog is easy, for short walks in the valley or further uphill. Sandro and Cristina were very helpfull and it was easy to communicate because they speak very good English. ( very nice because we don't speak Italian). If you want to visit Lago di Garda and its beautifull surroundings but if you DON'T want to stay in crowded tourist places, we can recommend Casa Lume. To everyone who loves nature; you will be lost in Paradise!"

  • The suite did not disappoint, it was exactly as advertised....good location, great view of the Sea.

"For the amount charged this suite was as expected...clean, reasonably well equipped, good location with great pool area and gardens and close to small shops, restaurants and bars. Walking down to the beach front was a short downhill stroll but very steep climb to get home! For older, less mobile guests it could be a struggle. We enjoyed some of the "Spanish restaurants' close by and tried to stay away from the "Brit cuisine" which was everywhere and very average. The supermarkets were readily available and the facilities in the suite were adequate to self cater for breakfast and snacks but not for dinner! Just across from the suite is a very nice family run Spanish bar/restaurant (OK Restaurant) with friendly staff and good food. A short walk away is the Orange Tree Restaurant with a good menu and reasonably priced. Only disappointment was lack of WiFi and difficulty when we were leaving because the concierge was on holiday and our flight was very early leaving from Malaga airport. There were no instructions for return of keys, etc. and no one to ask. All in all we were satisfied with the rental."

  • Cute, Clean and Convenient!

"We came down from the mountains for a medical emergency and needed a place to stay and the Travelers's Hideaway was perfect. I had 2 children with me and needed somewhere to call home while my wife was receiving medical attention. The Hideaway is minutes to the hospital, is just the right size and had a separate room for my 2 year old, it even came with toys and a "cave" in which lives a giant frog! The rental was super clean and had all the amenities of home. Aimee and Brian were very accessible and easy to reach with questions and were incredibly accommodating with us as we weren't sure how long we were going to stay. I highly recommend Traveler's Hideaway to anyone looking for a place to stay near downtown Grand Junction."

"The place looks just like it does in the pictures. Very nice for a great price. Pedro is very accommodating and makes sure everything is always 100% satisfactory. We come visit family in Santiago every year. This will be a place we stay at every year from now on. Thanks again Pedro for a wonderful place to stay and call home."
