  • Paradise on the Beach

"This is a wonderful home right on Martinique beach in a beautiful area on the eastern shore of Nova Scotia. The house has spectacular views of the ocean and the waves crashing at night lull you right to sleep. The house has all the modern conveniences you need including AC for warm days. The owners were very helpful answering all our questions and made the stay most enjoyable. I can't think of a more beautiful place to spend a week."

  • Little piece of Heaven

"Our family of 5 loved our stay at this wonderful cottage. There was plenty of room for everyone and, like so many other reviews have stated, the view is absolutely incredible. We enjoyed having campfires on our own private beach, eating on the deck while taking in the view, and of course, the sound of the waves as the tide came in. So peaceful and relaxing. We found the location to be very handy to everywhere we wanted to go - Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, fabulous sandy beaches, kayaking - to name a few. Our family made many wonderful memories that week, and the cottage was the perfect place to do that!!"

  • Outstanding Home - Highly Recommended

"In four years living in the United States we have been fortunate enough to stay in a number of great holiday rentals across North America. However, this house was, by a very long way, the best. What made it so special? Firstly, the location. It sits on a small hill, away from the minor access road, with magnificent views over the river and out to sea. It is a short drive from Mahone Bay shops. You therefore have the convenience of the (really interesting and charming) town without any of the traffic. Secondly, the house. It has real character. You feel as though you are living in history. It is extremely clean and very well equipped. You will not want for anything. The beds are super comfortable and, combined with the silence, you will sleep really well. Thirdly, the things to do. There is a canoe and rowing boat on a quay just down from the house. If you don’t want to go out on the boats you can sit on the quay and toes the sun going down with a glass of wine. There is a very large garden and a great walking trail next door. Finally, the people. Meg and Paul are very generous and very interesting hosts. They will make you feel very welcome. In summary, this is an extraordinary holiday home located in a beautiful part of the world. It is highly recommended. We certainly cannot wait to go back."

  • Beautiful stay with a fantastic view

"My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon. This house overlooks Saint Ann's Bay, so if you like watching sunsets, then we definitely recommend staying here. Our favorite part of the house was the enclosed porch. Two of the three nights we ate out in the porch, able to enjoy the fresh air without being bothered by the bugs. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. The house is surrounded by trees, giving it a great secluded feel. The only "negative" we would say is that the house gets quite warm during the day. We stayed here at the beginning of August. The house has spectacular windows that overlook the bay, but no shades to keep out the heat of the day. There is also no air conditioning. Eventually, for the nights, we set up a few fans that were provided and left some doors open, which seemed to help. All in all, it was a great stay. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for everything!"
