  • Sunshine it is!

"Rikki, the property manager was easy to work with and very helpful. The property was in good condition, clean and ready upon arrival. The villa basically looked like what's represented in the pictures. Unfortunately, some of the windows that we shown open in the pictures in the bedrooms were actually blocked by storm shutters so no visible views to the outside. Although some of the views to the outside were obstructed, the rooms were big so they didn't feel as closed in as they could have. The pool area was very nice, spacious and comfortable. You could see cruise ships and sailboats sailing by. We enjoyed having dinner and hanging out listening to music by the pool. Becky, the housekeeper did a fabulous job keeping the house clean"

  • Grand villa with amazing views, quiet neighborhood.

"This was our first time on the island, we rented the villa for our family (4 people, 2 teens). The upstairs bedrooms were amazing and perfect for the kids. Although there we only 4 of us, you could easily rent with 3 couples or a bigger family. Although the house was beautiful inside, we spent all of our time in the outside space. Simply breathtaking. We visited 6 different beaches when we were there. Loved Orient Beach, Grand Case, and our last day we went to the Anse Marcel Beach (Make sure to make a reservation for chairs and lunch/dinner) which was beautiful. French side was perfect. The only recommendation is to make sure you rent a good car that will easily get up the hills of Anse Marcel. This house was an excellent find and the staff that managed the rental were very responsive and informative."

  • Another Outstanding Stay at Son Risa

"And come back we did...for another delightful 3 weeks in March 2016. We have so fallen in love with Son Risa that we booked for 2017 instead of planning a summer trip to Italy. Now that's commitment! Thanks so much Mac and Jack for sharing your beautiful condo with us."

  • Unbelievable View

"We just returned home from a beautiful vacation at this villa in St. Maarten. The view is absolutely breath taking, overlooking Dawn Beach and Oyster Pond. The pool situated between the main house and the master suite, was an added bonus, allowing you to relax with a beverage and look out over the Carribean. The children enjoyed swimming at night. All bedrooms have AC for night time but the Caribbean wind keeps the main house cool during the day. The kitchen is well equipped, as we cooked breakfast each morning and made lunches as needed. Bernard and Eudora were so helpful, providing overall care of the house daily. The villa is within walking distance of Oyster Pond and Dawn Beach, which have chair and umbrella rental, a small grocery and great restaurants. Our favorite restaurants at Dawn Beach were Mr. Busby's and Big Fish and favorite restaurant on Oyster Pond was Dinghy Docks. Beautiful Orient Beach and the French Cul De Sac are a short 5-10 minute drive from the villa. Our family spent 2 days at Orient Beach. Brother's Beach Bar had great food and chair and umbrella service. Our kids enjoyed the huge water trampolines. The adults enjoyed very affordable beverages and people watching. We also took the ferry from the French Cul De Sac to beautiful Pinel Island for the day. We ate lunch on the island, rented chairs and umbrellas and snorkeled in the National Geographic underwater trail. Simpson Bay is also a short drive from the Villa. We did 2 excursions from this bay - Catamaran to Anguilla/Dolphin Discovery and off shore fishing. We also ate at Dinghy Docks on Simpson Bay after a long day on the beach. Overall an unbelievable vacation on the Dutch side of the island. We hope to return again soon."
