  • Spacious condo right on beautiful beach and steps to town

"My family rented this beautiful condo for 6 nights and found it to be exactly as advertised. The two bedroom / 2 bath layout was perfect for us and our two kids. Being on the ground floor is great - you're steps to one of the world's most beautiful beaches where you can walk for miles in either direction. The kitchen is stocked with everything and more you can need. We had our taxi stop at the market on the way in and bought groceries so we could have breakfasts and snacks in the room and spend on our money instead on excursions and lunch/dinner out. It was windy most days we were there which didn't make the beach unfit, but we did enjoy spending time at the pool which was better sheltered from the wind. Many others did as well but we never had trouble finding a lounge chair. We also made use of the tennis racquets in the condo, borrowed bikes one day and visited the small but sufficient on-site gym. It's a bit of a walk, but you can rent snorkeling gear and walk to a snorkeling site, Bight Reef, where we were amazed to see not only colorful fish but a family of sea turtles swimming right by us. I was not familiar with this part of the island and was pleased to find great restaurants and stores steps away. While we took a cab some nights to other recommended restaurants (Mango Reef, Mr. Grouper and Kalooki's were among those we visited), there are a number of places 1-2 blocks away including several coffee and ice-cream shops. We liked LeBouchon and LOVED The Landing, a new spot close by - al fresco dining with a fire pit; the bar is a repurposed sailboat. My kids loved Melt, home of delicious (though pricey) ice-cream sundaes. And we took a walk to a local favorite - The Pork Shack - not far from the grocery store, a roadside stand with terrific pork sandwiches. It was the only place we visited twice. Marion responded quickly to all questions and made great local recommendations. Nicola, the on-site manager, was easy to work with to complete the booking. The only thing I would note is that one of the concierges recommended booking taxis only through her, as she knew the people who wouldn't overcharge and the one time we did this, it wound up being the most expensive taxi we took during our stay. In short, this is a perfect rental for those looking for space and a "home" rather than fighting for a lounge chair at a crowded resort. It was worth every penny and was our home base during a fabulous and relaxing vacation."

  • Wonderful family trip!

"Our family stayed here for one week in January. The beaches were beautiful .. just as described .. and like none we had ever seen before! We spent time with the kids on several different beaches, mostly in the Grace Bay area, although we also explored further afield using our rental vehicle. Travelling around the island was easy as distances were relatively short. We were especially pleased with the recommendations made by Kathy and felt very spoiled by her friendly and welcoming staff. The house was well equipped and its location close to the beach made this an amazing holiday spot. We would definitely recommend it as a place to visit and stay."

  • Fantastic!

"Victoria was incredibly helpful in locating a bag we had inadvertently left in the taxi - they called the airport and tracked it down! Property is so close to the beach and walking distance of everything. Clean and comfortable. Thanks again!"

  • Location is great!

"On arrival, Adeline was not in the office, (she wasn't too far because we saw her soon after that), but the young maintenance man got ahold of a housekeeper and got us into our room as soon as we got there, even though we were about 1 hour earlier than check in. The only disappointment was that David had told me he had a couple of bikes we could use, but When I asked about them, Adeline said they were not in good shape and couldn't be used. We stayed in the studio, #8. It is just as it is pictured on-line. Small, with no pool access, but does the trick if you are a couple, out and about all day. Bed wasn't great as it squeaked whenever you moved at all. We moved it away from the wall a bit which helped. We would take our morning coffee to the poolside and then our evening wine to poolside. The 2 bedroom units looked beautiful and had outdoor eating areas adjacent to all the gardens and the pool. The gardens were beautiful and little geckos greeted you everyday. We did need a pot, pan and a can opener that was not in our little kitchen when we arrived, but just ask Adeline, she got it for us right away. We asked for a broom mid week to sweep the sand from our floor and she got it for us as soon as we asked. Towels, including beach towels, were good quality and sufficient. There were laundry facilities to use in the evening if you chose. You can't ask for a better location. Right across the road and you are not even a 5 minute walk from the beautiful beach. There are loungers on the beach that belong to the property, but a few of them are broken and need to be replaced. There was an umbrella and 2 lawn chairs in the closet, and we did use these at the beach one day. The grocery store, restaurants, car/scooter/ bicycle rental, coffee shop, and other shops are right there also. The information on the net said the grace way gourmet was more expensive than the IGA grace way (which you would want to drive or bike to), but we went to both and I didn't find much difference in price, so the grace way gourmet right down the street is where we got our groceries. ( and yes, they are both expensive, but I was pleasantly suprised, the cost of drinking water was very reasonable.) So, a great stay at a great location, beautiful weather, beautiful beach, lovely people. We will be back! Janis"
