  • Amazing Pre-holiday Vacation

"My husband and I decided to visit provo after hearing about it having some of the best snorkeling and beaches in the world. We're not experiences snorkelers and do not dive so I was a little hesitant about what activities we would be doing during our 6 day trip. (We travel quite often outside of the US but have never done a true beach vacation). Coral Gardens is the place to stay! the resort is right in front of the reef where you can literally swim out and see everything from reef sharks, turtles, eagle rays, gorgeous fish......we saw them all. Somewhere Cafe has the best fish tacos on the Island and if you like to have good conversation sit at the bar. All of the bartenders are awesome and if business is slow (which it usually is on Thursday nights because of the Fish fry) you can learn a lot about the locals and the islands. LOCATION The location is perfect. You can literally walk on the beach, each way for miles. We rented a car 3 of the days to go see the entire island. I would recommend doing so as to go out and see everything (Taylor Bay Beach- the most gorgeous beach we have ever seen), have lunch at Kalooki's or even check out the little shopping area at Salt Mills Plaza. FOOD We bought groceries the first day at IGA (which is so expensive) and ended up eating breakfast, lunch a few dinners in the room to save money. If you do rent a car, go to the local grocery store (SMART off of Leeward). We never felt threatened and if you respect the locals, you shouldn't have any issues. Mr. Grouper was the best fish sandwich we have ever had. Somewhere cafe- best fish tacos, Caicos Dream Tours- best conch. Bugaloos- was okay. It seemed a little touristy but the view was gorgeous. (we only at the conch fritters and had some drinks). Oh and you can drink and drive on the Island. Da Conch Shack- entertaining, didn't eat here but had the best rum punch on the Island. (on a side note, we ended up buying our own gallon of rum punch from SMART and just brought our own drinks down to the beach, its way cheaper). Froggies On Da Beach- best conversation with either the bartender or owner. She was amazing to speak with and so nice! BOOKING/CONCIERGE We booked through Leanne and had Jammy as our local expert, The experience overall was beyond amazing. There were a few hiccups in the beginning due to us originally going through Expedia. DO NOT DO THIS. If you can find out who the actually owner of the condo is and rent through them, do this instead. Leanne was ki"

  • Great location, and very nice room.

"The room was great - a nice balcony above the garden to eat. It was very neat and clean. The location is great too. Your in the heart of Regent Village and right across from the Saltmills. Easy to talk to many restaurants to eat or shops, and short walk to the grocery store. Overall, great place to stay!"

  • Upscale, great value, quiet

"We (2 females) booked this particular property as it is a great value compared to some of the other pricy accommodation options on Turks and Caicos, and we were interested in saving money by self-catering. We were very pleased with the accommodations and our hosts could not have been better! The cottage was exactly as pictured and like new, spacious and well designed/laid-out. The entire property was very well maintained, clean and beautiful. The hosts live on site and were always available if needed but were not intrusive at all. The cottage is very comfortable, private and separate . We felt very safe and secure. Just a few things not mentioned in previous reviews, or that I could not find in the listing, that I was specifically interested in: food and supplies - You might want to check what food and supplies are already in the cottage before going to the trouble to purchase or pack. Upon arrival, we found there was dry pasta, peanut butter, cooking oil, hot sauce, other condiments, salt, pepper, a partial bottle of rum, bottled water and more. Presumably a lot of this was leftover from previous tenants so subject to change. Other supplies provided were toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags , laundry soap. There was no plastic stretch wrap but i had brought my own ziploc baggies and containers from home for packing up lunches and leftovers. Having long hair, i was also pleased to see a full bottle of hair conditioner supplied which was much appreciated! There was also a huge bottle of sunscreen SPF 30. Water - I drank the tap water and used it to refill my water bottle (from the cold water fawcet in the kitchen) the whole 7 day stay and it tasted fine and I had no issues. Nice quiet neighborhood, everyone we met while we were out walking was friendly and helpful. We walked to the beach every morning for a walk and had it pretty much all to ourselves. We tried out the SUPs and the kayak but found the combination of wind and current in the canal a litle too intimidating and decided not to venture beyond the canal into the ocean as it looked quite choppy , which i understand is not typical. On most days we found decent shore snorkelling even in choppy seas at Smiths reef and Coral Gardens with multiple sea turtle and stingray sightings. The Conch farm ($12) and short Bird Rock Point hike (free) are very close by and were interesting diversions on a cloudy windy day."

  • Nice place, quiet, near the beach, nice pool

"we enjoy a lot, we were 5 adults and a baby. so it was perfect for us with enough space for everybody so we didn't feel squeeze. the only enhancement would be a better sleeping sofa, the mattress was too soft. kitchen is perfect, dining space too"
