  • Very nice, well-stocked and well-located

"We had a great stay at Sue & Bruce's condo on Cowpet Bay. The apartment was incredibly well stocked and in great shape. Getting there was easy and effortless. We loved the DVDs and puzzles, sitting on the terrace looking at the ocean, and we enjoyed the close proximity to the pool especially since we have small children. The beach toys and snorkel gear were put to good use. While the condo had pretty much everything a vacationer could need, next time I would bring my own beach towels (they're bigger than the ones at the Elysian) and my own plastic cups - for the kids and for drinking our own beverages at the pool area (no glass allowed). The condo's proximity to Secret Harbour, Latitude 18, ferries, and Red Hook was great. We'd gladly stay again."

  • Rental review

"Our family of six just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. Unfortunately our vacation started out with a 14 hour delay in our departing flight which resulted in many potential headaches facing us upon our arrival in the islands. Thankfully a property representative went above and beyond the call of duty in making special arrangements for us since we arrived at our destination in the middle of the night. Needless to say, the help was invaluable and much appreciated. The same person met our party at the car barge and helped us find the home, which would have been difficult for us to do without assistance, particularly after such a harrowing start. She remained in contact, but was not obtrusive, during our stay and helped us make restaurant reservations and arrange for a snorkeling trip. Luckily the rest of our trip went well and the home was even more lovely in person than in the pictures. Photos cannot adequately capture the beauty of the setting and the phenomenal views. The property was described accurately and was clean and well-maintained. A four-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended, not only for this property but for the island in general. Some of my personal favorite features of the home included the hot tub and outdoor shower. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends and would love to return myself!"

  • We loved everything about this place!

"We felt a sense of serenity the minute we turned into the property. As you drive past the guarded entrance and up the windy road, it feels as though you’re driving to your own little villa in the hills. The view from the unit is beautiful and we loved that the entire wall facing the water is made of large sliding glass doors so that the blue/turquoise ocean, the view of other islands, the breeze & the wonderful natural light are always present. The resort has a small and secluded private beach with a few cabana beds & umbrellas, three swimming pools, and a casual waterfront restaurant/beach bar with a sweet staff & great food. We rented a car for the week since we like to explore but were always happy that this is where we were staying. The resort is hilly and may not appeal to those who prefer to be on flat terrain with an easy walk to a large beach, but for us and our two teen daughters, the topography was what made it more natural, more special and the views definitely more beautiful than other places we visited. There’s parking right outside the unit and the office staff are more than happy to shuttle you around the resort grounds at any time, so it's a real bonus. The owner, Robert, is truly wonderful and caring and we appreciated his willingness to answer our questions and give us helpful information so much. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it."

  • Can't Beat the View!

"We stayed at Cinnamon Ridge for a week in June 2016. There haven't been many recent reviews, so I wanted to be sure to add one. It was just two of us, so the villa was way more than we needed. But the price was competitive with smaller villas and we really wanted the view. After reading previous reviews the villa was what we expected it to be. It is an older property that may have fallen into disrepair at some point. But the kitchen and top, west master bedroom were recently renovated and that was essentially our entire living space for this trip. It was not luxurious but was sufficient for what we needed. And those views... We didn't have any major issues. Unfortunately the fountain on the pool was not working when we arrived. The greeter offered to have someone come out to fix it but we declined. We preferred our privacy. We did have two unexpected visitors. The gardeners showed up one afternoon (we were not given a schedule of any services) and someone stopped by to check the water pump after an island wide power outage. Not a huge issue, but would have been nice to know they were coming. The bed was comfortable and everything worked. The oven, stove, toaster, refrigerator and grills all worked great and met our needs. It was very well equipped. The shower in the master bathroom felt like an outdoor shower, with nice stone and skylights. There is no air conditioning. The first night was rough due to the heat and humidity. But it quickly cooled off with the evening breezes, and once were were acclimated it was fine. The night the power went off was a little rough with no fans for cooling. Our biggest issue was the noise. Some people say they love sleeping to the sounds of the frogs and insects. For us it was hell. Fortunately I remembered our snorkeling earplugs and the sound problem was solved. The road into the area is a combination of paved and unpaved. Some areas were quite rough. But it is similar to everywhere else you go on the island and was easy to handle. It's quite a distance from town, so keep that in mind if you plan to go in and out frequently. We decided to risk the road that continues north to the north shore road. It was in good shape and was a fantastic shortcut to the north shore beaches. We probably won't return. We prefer AC and didn't like the drive. But I'm glad we stayed and would recommend it to others. The folks at Caribbean Villas were great to work with. And those views...!"
