  • Perfect place to call home while you explore the islands

"The east end of St. Thomas is a great place to base your USVI/BVI travels in. You are a short hop from Red Hook car ferry, restaurants and charters, and have some of the island's best beaches in a few minutes drive. Sapphire Village gives you easy access to all that, or you can stay right here and have a nice meal at Slice, good beaches at Sapphire bay (or right next door at Lindquist) and there are excellent charters leaving right from Sapphire Marina. Why deal with parking and packing the car when you can walk out the fron door and be on the Breakaway in minutes. And when it is time to stay in you can't do much better than Seaglass. You want a clean and well appointed space with a comfortable bed, a good view, and the ability to make a nice cup of coffee and a light meal. You get all that at Seaglass, plus and owner who goes all the way to make your stay as comfortable and stress-free as possible. For a couple looking for a nice space to call hime while they explore the islands you couldn't ask for a better spot. Oh, and even though we didn't use it, there is a waffle iron! Be prepared to make a few waffles :)"

  • Great place to stay!!

"I would stay here again! Maxine is great, so are her husband and dogs. The view from the balcony of the cottage was beautiful, it almost did not feel real. We ate breakfast out there in the morning (and Lou, one of the dogs on the property, joined us in hopes for some bacon!) and we sat out there and watched the harbor at night. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice (but if you have windows/doors open, the wind might blow the bathroom door and it sounds like someone is knocking - they are not knocking!!). We felt very safe, the property is gated. We rented a car and ended up not even using it a lot. Red Hook has a lot of places to eat and shop within walking distance of the cottage. The hill back up to the cottage is not horrible but you'll need decent leg strength, I hike a lot so that's just my opinion. The Ferry dock is within walking distance too so you can travel to other islands. We ate at Senor Pizza, Senor Frog, Fish Tails, and the Tap & Still. The only thing I didn't like was the burger at the Tap & Still. Everything else was good. They are all within walking distance to the cottage. We walked every night, we got sweaty, but it was okay. Driving on these islands is kind of scary. Overall, we had a great time. We would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Maxine!"

  • Highly recommended beach front condo

"My boyfriend and I had the absolute best vacation experience. The condo had everything we needed, including snorkeling equipment, plenty of beach towels and cooler bags. Being right on the water, we got to watch the amazing sunrise every morning. We loved sitting by the beautiful pool, but what made it even better was that our condo was only a few yards away which was really convenient if we needed beverages or snacks. We also walked down and enjoyed lunch at the beach bar. Another plus about this condo is how great the location is to everything else. The ferry to St. John and Tortola is five minutes down the road in Red Hook. We also shopped at Moes grocery store and ate at several of the restaurants located there. There were many shops run by the local people as well as more touristy gift shops which gave me many shopping options! This way I was able to avoid the cruise boat traffic that exists in Charlotte Amalie. Lastly, the owner Lee was very helpful and easy to contact. She was able to send us maps and brochures and answered any questions we had quickly and thoroughly. Connie, the onsite property manager was also a delight. It was nice to have someone available incase we really needed anything. It was a beautiful condo and I have already booked with Lee for next year!"
