  • great stay at the beach

"We enjoyed our stay very much. the weather was perfect. the house was very comfortable, and had all the amenities of houses in the US (including A/C). the house is beachfront, and the plunge pool was very refreshing. the location was perfect - Esterillos Oeste, while small, has everything you need for an extended stay - variety of restaurants, small grocery store, fresh fruit, and the freshly caught fish. not a bad drive from San Jose about 1-1/2 hours, and close to both Jaco and Manuel Antonio. Both Kate and Dave were very accommodating to every request we made. If we return to Costa Rica, we would certainly consider staying here again."

  • Great!

"This was a great vacation beach house for our family. The beach is so quiet and peaceful that most days we only saw a few other people, and to have our own pool as well as the beautiful beach was awesome. The caretaker, Mark was very helpful booking ziplining, taking us to a waterfall and giving surfing lessons. The house is big and comfortable and, as long as you have a car, its in a great vacation. Perfect vacation home if you're looking for a quite and relaxing place."

  • Tropical Getaway Near the Beach

"My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful tropical getaway home nestled in a rainforest setting. The kitchen and large island were great for cooking up fresh food purchased at the local farmer's market. In the mornings, we would sit outside on the lovely patio with our tea and coffee watching the abundant hummingbirds, butterflies, and birds enjoying the beautiful flowers. After breakfast, we would walk down to take a stroll along the beach to catch a glimpse of the amazing La Sirena statue in the ocean waves and look for the Macaws munching on wild almonds. In the evenings, we would pick limes from the lime tree in the yard and make our happy hour drinks before heading to the refreshing pool. The beds were comfortable with air conditioned rooms. If you look close you can spot Herb, the Iguana, which we named while we were there. I loved that if we needed something, there are two small grocers within walking distance of the home. Other then a great getaway home, the location was perfect homebase for sightseeing of the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica."

  • Very nice and great location

"We were very happy with the place. Such great access to the beach since it was directly on the beach. We loved the little community it was in. Everyone was so nice. Tracey was great. She works so hard and it shows. The pool was great but HOT. Which isn't a problem for me. Great hot weather. My only issue was that none of the outdoor lights worked. Which wasn't a huge deal since we were so tired at night we went to bed quite early. But it would have been helpful for the stairs and shining on the lock so we could see where to put the key. Something very minor but thought owner should know about it so it can be taken care of. All in all we would definitely rent again and Richard the owner is so helpful in making everything happen. Thank you for a great vacation."
