Ireland cottage rentals

I don’t think I can rave enough about my visit here~ I loved everything about it! It really feels like a touch of old Ireland, but with modern conveniences. was enchanted by the 350 year old cottage.

This property exceeded our expectations. Close enough to Galway to make a quick trip into the city but far enough that you feel immersed in country. We absolutely loved it and can't say enough about the location, room, and the people!

We had a wonderful stay, everything was as described. The views of the bay and islands are spectacular. The cottage is the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle, very quite. We especially enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and looking out over the hills and water, being snug and warm while there was a storm blowing outside. I can wholeheartedly recommend this cottage if you don't mind driving for 15 minutes to the next town: great food at the Seafarer in Letterfrack and good hiking in the Connemara National Park. Tim, the host provided great recommendations.

We absolutely loved our week at Sea Mist cottage. It was perfect for our entire family of six, including my husband and I, my Mom, Brother, and our two teenage boys. The cottage was decorated so well, was so welcoming and comfortable, clean and spacious! It was fully equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our week as a family. The views were absolutely spectacular. We loved riding our electric bikes into town and throughout all the bike routes in the area. We thanked ourselves for selecting the electric bikes on the way back up the hill to the cottage. Something we highly recommend for other staying at the cottage. We couldn’t imagine taking that trek back up to the cottage on a normal bike! Sea Mist cottage was perfect for us to find time together as a family at the dinner table, enjoying the view outside, or just chilling in the living room. The description of the bathroom situation could be a little bit better on the listing. Explain that there is only a toilet and sink in the upstairs bathroom next to the two bedrooms up there (all 3 showers are on the ground floor). So if people staying up there want to take a shower, they need to come downstairs. The only thing we couldn’t really figure out very well was the combination washer/dryer. The binder of information on all the appliances was great, but no matter what setting we used, we never could seem to get our clothes all the way dry. Other than that, we absolutely loved everything else about the cottage.

The location is great - in a lovely neighborhood surrounded by farms and minutes from groceries, pub with excellent food and everywhere you want to go. The 200 year old cottage has all the modern amenities- yet retains the charm and quaintness of the past. The hosts were lovely - Make sure you read the book the host has put together - it’s full of history of the region and fantastic recommendations for what to do in the area - and we changed our plans once we read it and were so glad We did!! Waiting for us when we checked in was everything we needed for breakfast, snacks, cozy fire, showers, wash …it could not have been more organized and well appointed. Highly recommend!

My best friend and I wanted to find a cozy cottage in Ireland for our girls trip. We were hoping for something similar to the cottage in the movie The Holiday. It did not disappoint. We were so happy to return home in the evening after a long day of driving to see sights and just relax by the fire and watch our favorite Jane Austin films on the DVDs provided by Kersti. I also greatly enjoyed my daily walks to see Ashford castle on the road and walking paths. It was a wonderful experience.

Lovely, cozy cottage to relax and explore the beautiful towns, landscapes and people. Very accommodating and hospitable.

We couldnt have stayed at a more perfect place. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. We loved that we were able to travel to dublin easily but that we were located away from the hustle and bustle. We were 15 minutes from blessington lake and the sally gap, both beautiful drives. It took us a day to get used to driving on the left hand side and once we did, we easily got around ireland. Will hands down stay here again when I come back. Everyone was inviting and charming. Thank you Martin and Harriet. I can literally say I had the best time of my life on this trip.
