  • Nice property, exactly as pictured

"The property is exactly as pictured, nicely appointed and easy walk to Killarney with tons of pubs, restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. The bedroom with the two single beds is very small, couldn't even fit two suitcases in it. Kitchen was not stocked well, there wasn't even dishwashing liquid when we arrived. Thankfully the Amber filling station across the street has everything you'd need in a pinch. Check-in and check out very easy and overall a good 5 night stay. Would recommend."

  • Beautiful!

"The house was large, spacious, and definitely easy to heat as others have said. The area surrounding the house was GORGEOUS! However, I would like to offer a word of advice - Make sure you allow more than enough time to drive the Irish roads and make it to this place before dark. We allowed a lot of time, but not near enough and ended up trying to locate this place in the dark... This is in a Dark Sky reserve, so not only are the roads difficult to manage (small, opposite side of the road for Americans, the usual), but it is VERY dark after the sun goes down (no street lights, reflectors on the road, etc.) and it will be very hard to find the house. Not only that, but you will miss seeing the beautiful area you are staying in! But that was a lovely sight to wake up to! We also traveling during non-peak season, so many of the local places were closed by 8pm. However, the Gardens right down the street have delicious Thai food! :) We traveled to Cork from here, which was a lovely drive. We also drove the Ring of Kerry, which was just breathtaking. We loved the sitting room and the fireplace, and were very comfortable in our rooms. The house is minutes from a lovely beach, which gave us an amazing sunset and some of the best photos of our trip. Overall, it was a lovely stay in the Ring of Kerry."

  • Foxy Vixens on vacation

"I and 5 friends booked a weekend away in Mary Rose Cottage, we mostly chilled in the cottage as we wanted a retreat from our busy everyday lives. It was perfect. So homely and well kept. We felt it's warm welcoming ambiance as soon as we arrived . The pictures do not it justice. Each nook and cranny had hidden gems and the garden was so fascinating to explore. The cottage was kept beautifully and gave us everything our heart desired. It was so well stocked from welly boots in every size, various different types of teas, a bowl full of fresh fruit and a enough turf and wood to do us for a week. We were all so sad to be leaving as we had fallen in love with this haven."

  • Wonderful, well equipped, and great location

"This cottage is well equipped and truly a home away from home. The two bedrooms are spacious with a full bath upstairs and a wonderful shower in the full bath downstairs. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals with an attached dining room and nice deck outside overlooking the bay. We appreciated the quite location about two miles out of Kenmare. Kenmare is a nice sized community with lots of music in the variety of pubs. We really enjoyed the Beara Peninsula and in particular Healy pass. Also another highlight was the Seafari boat tour of the harbor and bay. The Skelling Island Visitor Center is worth checking out. The owner of this property is a little difficult to reach. Don't let this put you off. This property is worth the effort."
