  • Really nice!

"It´s a really charming apartment near everything, including the main museums. You feel like you´re living in Amsterdam. The apartment was clean and it´s exactly like in the fotos. The only thing that we didn´t like was to carry our heavy luggage till the second floor... I recommend!"

  • Quaint Stay in Jordaan

"This beautiful studio apartment was perfect for me as a solo traveler wanting to get a glimpse of life in the wonderful city of Amsterdam. I was told by friends that the Jordaan neighborhood had the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam so I was thrilled to find this quaint studio right on the Brewers canal. The moment I stepped off the train at the main station I fell in love with Amsterdam. The short 10 minute walk to the apartment was so beautiful with the canals lined with flowers and bicycles. Helena welcomed me with a hot cup of tea as she oriented me to the area sharing books and maps. She had wonderful suggestions for restaurants and sites to see. She let me know of a darling little movie theatre, The Movies, right around the corner where I was able to enjoy the movie Bridget Jones Baby. The Movies, which opened in 1912, is the oldest movie theater in Amsterdam. From this studio stay I was able to walk to all the sites I longed to see, The Van Gogh Museum, The Rijksmuseum, The Royal Concertgebouw , Anne Frank House, The Nine Streets shopping area, picturesque Brewers Canal (Brouwersgracht) and Prinsengracht Canals. The location was ideal in that it was within walking distance to many beautiful sites of Amsterdam while staying in a neighborhood offering a great variety of restaurants and shopping not among a multitude of tourists. This allowed my wish to have a glimpse of everyday life in Amsterdam. I also looked forward to my return to the studio as the apartment is beautifully furnished with antique and wood furniture and very tastefully decorated. Looking out the large picture windows to the stunning and historic building on this canal was quite heartwarming. Helena has paid great attention to the details in providing comfort in her apartment which made me feel very much at home. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return!"

  • Fantastic Flat in Jordaan

"My husband and I stayed here in early October and it was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Amsterdam. The owners are a lovely, helpful couple and provide you with guide to the area. The flat has excellent wifi and is a block or two away from many of the neighborhood's charming restaurants and shops. You're a relatively short walk to central Amsterdam, but far enough away that you're not surrounded by it at night and can enjoy some quiet. The kitchen is well supplied and the shower was very large. We will gladly stay here the next time we're in the Netherlands."

  • Excellent location, charming real Amsterdam apartment

"Our host, Emmy, was available with with quick responses to all sorts of questions before our arrival. The apartment up one flight of stairs is well suited to a couple, and offered all that we needed. It is not large, but it is enough. A couple of minor issues were resolved very quickly. Local dining recommendations were so good that we ate at the same place 3 times in a week (The Blue Head). Grocery shopping is only a few minutes away, as are choices of bus stops. You can easily walk to Centraal station in under 15 minutes and be whisked all over the country. We visited the city for 3 days and then took trains/buses to the north, south and west on other days. It was always a pleasure to return "home" after a busy day exploring. The neighbourhood is very quaint and traditional, and was quiet and picturesque. Lots of houseboats, and a Yellow Submarine within a block! We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and Emmy!"
