  • Casa Luna retreat

"My wife and I spent 10 days at Casa Luna in April and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The unit was clean and organized and extremely comfortable. While there was some daytime noise on the main street from road construction that went on during the week, the evenings were quiet, allowing us to enjoy the patio when the sun went down. The pool was great, just a few short steps away and very clean, perfect temperature. allowing us to enjoy our afternoons poolside, most days by ourselves. The location is also convenient, a very short walk to the beach , and a hop across the street to catch the "Urbano" for the 10 minute ride into San Jose (37 pesos). Both Mark and Esther were very gracious answering all our questions and following up with e mails. And Sophia does an amazing job keeping the grounds clean and tidy, and replenishing our water bottle when required. We cooked a few meals in the kitchen , getting our groceries at the Mega store up the street, but there are so many great places to eat close by, its hard to stay home for dinner. That being said the kitchen was fully equipped for our needs. After our stay at Casa Luna, I am sworn off All Inclusives for good. Thanks Mark and Esther, we had a wonderful time."

  • Awesome Condo in Cabo

"We had a fabulous week stay! The owner is quick to answer questions and get you any info you need. The condo had everything we needed, well stocked with dishes and cooking items of every sort. Full size stove and oven and large fridge and freezer. The views are fabulous! There is a small pool directly below the condo and the only people we encountered were on our last day. The beach is steps away and very private. There is also an elevator, which worked perfect each time. You can catch a bus (yellow and purple) right in front of the property going either direction. They also take us dollars and the bus was super clean and A/C. It was only a couple of dollars to head to the Mega Foods. We ended up renting a car at the Mega Foods parking lot from Avis. No problems, no hidden charges and they allowed us to drop it off at the airport on our way home! Parking was super easy at the condo, you get a parking pass and then park anywhere in the lot, we never had an issue finding a spot, it was never full. We also took the owner's advise and took a shuttle from the airport to the condo when we first arrived and was only $15 each person. Was a bit chaotic figuring out where to go at the airport, but well worth it. The grounds here are absolutely lovely! We didn't eat at the restaurant, but did go to a few others in town and also stocked up at Costco, closer to Cabo San Lucas. Overall, this is a very nice unit to stay in. Plenty of towels, linens and anything else you might need. The owner is super nice and helpful and I hope to stay here again in the future. Thanks for a fabulous stay!!!!"

  • Wonderful place to stay

"We've been coming to San Jose for 9 years and have stayed at Las Mananitas for 5 years. It's perfect for families or anyone who wants a relaxing, peaceful vacation. Rich, the owner was wonderful to work with. Booking with him was super easy and he was kind enough to check in on us a few days into our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. You won't be disappointed staying here. The condo is well appointed and the kitchen has recently been updated. The location is great. We love staying in Phase 1 because it's closest to the beach and the pool is right out front. There is a Mega grocery store about 2 blocks away that has literally anything you want or forgot to pack. We shop there for our groceries(bakery is really good) and found that there are plenty of cabs out front if you need to haul back a big grocery run. Las Mananitas provides little wagons at the entrances of each phase so it makes it easy to unload groceries from the taxi vans and then use the wagons to get the groceries to your unit. (note: you can't take the wagons to the Mega, they are just to haul on the grounds). Our friends stayed at hotels a few properties away and they were very impressed with Las Mananitas. No loud pool electronic music blaring from 10a-10p or fighting over beach chairs at 7am. This is definitely the way to go. There are several restaurants close if you don't want to cook every meal. CJ's Deli and Cynthia Fresh are both wonderful and next door. Across from the Barcelo there are more restaurants & shopping. You can taxi in to town for more options and there is also the Urbano (aka Peso bus) that will take you into town for next to nothing. It picks up right in front of LM. There are usually taxis waiting at the Hyatt Place across the street too. Art Walk is on Thursday evenings and shouldn't be missed. Super fun. Foodies should absolutely consider a reservation at Flora's Field Kitchen. It's farm-to-table and organic and the ambiance is incredible. Their menu is online and you can make reservations online too. They are always booked and it is advisable to make a reservation online before your trip. The cab ride can be in the $30-40 range so don’t head up without a reservation. Tuesday nights they have a Fried Chicken option and it's unbelievable. We’ve been there 4 different vacations and it never fails to impress us. Las Mananitas is beautiful, safe & relaxing. I can’t say enough great things. You will love it here. We'll be back!"

  • Awesome house

"The property is located in a visually unappealing spot for the most part so we were kind of worried but when we got In we were blown away. This house had it all. The rooms were very private and had there own full bathrooms. The kitchen was awesome both indoor and out. The location is a 15 minute walk from the malecon, about 7 blocks and you can swing by the church and multiple restaurants on the way. Also there is a Ley supermarket two blocks away which is very convenient. The 4 of us had a blast here and when we come back we will most likely be booking this house again. The property manager Antonio was very helpful and is a very knowledgable. He told us about places to visit, eat, and even set us up with an awesome fishing trip. Stayed for 10 days, had a car for 3 days and felt safe and stayed entertained the whole time. Around 5-7 pm there is a dance studio next door that practiced so we even got free music and tap dancing at dinner. This place was awesome and you will not be disappointed."
