  • Villa Buena Vista is my new happy place

"We recently took all 5 of our kids – ages ranging from 30-14 – to Sayulita and spent a magical 10 days at Villa Buena Vista. THIS is my new happy place. I already miss the tranquil sound of the ocean and the absolutely unmatched view from every angle of the house. There is such love and attention to detail that was put in to every part of this home. It is truly a unique experience. We all found ourselves a bit in awe of it regularly… and yet, it felt so homey. We ended up in Sayulita during a very busy time and we were all so happy that we had our beautiful Villa to retreat to every day – whether we were swimming in the gorgeous saltwater infinity pool, taking the short walk to the beach, curling up in one of the many cozy places and reading a book, playing games in the spectacular outdoor living room or enjoying authentic Mexican cuisine prepared for us in the wonderful kitchen while watching a movie. Truly, the memories we made as a family enjoying this house, and the wonderful culture of Sayulita, have left a permanent mark in our memory bank. We can’t wait to go back!"

  • Outstanding experience

"My husband and I recently had the opportunity to stay almost two full weeks at Casa Angel. It was our first time in Mexico, and our experience with the house and the town of Sayulita was outstanding. The house is as beautiful as it shows in photos. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you'll need. The water quality is excellent; we drank tap water without issue. The beds are very comfortable; sleeping under a palapa roof is a unique experience; the detail and uniformity of the fronds above are amazing. The swimming pool is heavenly and very well maintained. The views from every room offer a glimpse of the jungle and its creatures; we saw MANY! Bring binoculars; we used ours constantly! The bird-watching is amazing! We saw Elegant Trogons, Chachalacas, a Colima Pygmy Owl, Golden Cheeked woodpeckers, Yellow-Winged Caciques, Magpie Jays, Tanagers, Orioles, several parrots and many more that we didn't identify. has a great PDF "Birds of the Riviera Nayarit" that we referred to often. The many iguanas were fun to watch too! Carmina is a wonderful house keeper, but her true talent is in the food she will make on request; she even gave me a lesson when I asked, in how to make authentic ceviche and a couple of salsas - I told her she needs to offer classes - she is worth her weight in gold; tip her well. Chemo takes great care of the garden and grounds - it is a veritable paradise. Nanzal Hill is better known to us as "Buzz Kill Hill." It is short, but the steepness combined with 86 degree weather and 90% humidity makes it quite a hike back up! But it is part of the adventure.. and your reward for climbing it is that glorious, refreshing swimming pool (and whatever you put in one of the several blenders!) We tried the golf cart rental, but it truly is a short distance, and so decided the expense not worth it. Did I mention the view? You'll not get this jungle experience staying in town. Casa Angel is Romantic, private, beautiful and natural. You would do well to choose this home. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing their piece of paradise with us! We loved it and hope to return."

  • Incredibly amazing

"Our stay at Ventana was so so outstanding. Anytime you book on line without ever viewing you take a chance and a risk that it wont be all that is advertised to be, Ventana exceeded all of our expectations, we were 4 couples (8 guests). From the moment we opened the beautiful entrance doors we knew we found a slice of tropical heaven. The property is immaculately maintained daily, lush gardens and clean clean premises. Each room was magazine perfect with incredible views, privacy and bathrooms attached to each bedroom which was an awesome feature that we didn't even think about when we booked, you could unpack and stay unpacked as the space was yours inclusively. The home was designed so well, we enjoyed sitting in the many open areas, watching the ocean, drinking morning coffee, having dinner, watching sunsets and just truly enjoying our vacation as a group of friends. The pool is awesome, very clean and a great temperature, we used the poolside grill many times, it was immaculately clean. The staff, pancho and Maria was there daily and we fell in love with both, they work hard and do an amazing job. Everything we needed was at ventana our entire group had zero complaints. We chose to rent 2 golf carts as the house is up a step hill, however, for the first couple days we just walked, it was good exercise and we were only about 10-15 mins to the heart of sayulita. After spending 2 weeks in the area north sayalita was DEFINATELY the better spot to be, It's quiet but close enough to anything you want and the area seems nicer. The owner had recommended a driver to collect us from the airport and the pricing was awesome, with a pit stop to mega for a shop on the way. We actually used the drivers services for the remainder of our trip and he was easy to get short notice and had decent English. He moved us from ventana to our second house, took us to rincon guyabitos for a day trip and returned us the PV airport at the end of our stay. I highly recommend ventana and can't wait to return next year!"

  • Surprise Birthday Party

"For my husband's 35th birthday, I planned an elaborate itinerary that included six of his best friends flying in throughout the week leading up to our time in Sayulita. Before settling into chill days in Sayulita, we mountain biked, hiked and ran our way around Jalisco. The grand finale was four days staying at the magical palace of Villa PCaso, which surpassed all photos and expectations. There were eight of us total (three couples and two single dudes), perfect for the villa layout. Lazy mornings kicking it in the pool or doing yoga on one of the many decks were the perfect ways to ease into surfing (or getting pounded by surf). Our days were capped off with Pepe's perfect margaritas on the rooftop patio where we enjoyed expansive views of jungle, mountains, ocean and Sayulita. Pepe was absolutely wonderful, making us feel at ease and cared for throughout our time. His cooking, good humor and willingness to help out with the party planning far exceeded my wildest hopes and dreams and blew our weekend out of the water. He even ordered a cake for the party night! His son, Jose, was a super fun addition to our crew, providing many smiles, big help for Pepe and good Spanish-speaking practice for the rest of us. This clearly is the coolest house on the planet. My only regret was that I didn't ask Pepe to cook breakfast or do margaritas every single night. He's a true gem and I can't sing his praises enough. Thanks, Tom, for opening your mystical home to us! Looking forward to the next!!"
