  • Surprise Birthday Party

"For my husband's 35th birthday, I planned an elaborate itinerary that included six of his best friends flying in throughout the week leading up to our time in Sayulita. Before settling into chill days in Sayulita, we mountain biked, hiked and ran our way around Jalisco. The grand finale was four days staying at the magical palace of Villa PCaso, which surpassed all photos and expectations. There were eight of us total (three couples and two single dudes), perfect for the villa layout. Lazy mornings kicking it in the pool or doing yoga on one of the many decks were the perfect ways to ease into surfing (or getting pounded by surf). Our days were capped off with Pepe's perfect margaritas on the rooftop patio where we enjoyed expansive views of jungle, mountains, ocean and Sayulita. Pepe was absolutely wonderful, making us feel at ease and cared for throughout our time. His cooking, good humor and willingness to help out with the party planning far exceeded my wildest hopes and dreams and blew our weekend out of the water. He even ordered a cake for the party night! His son, Jose, was a super fun addition to our crew, providing many smiles, big help for Pepe and good Spanish-speaking practice for the rest of us. This clearly is the coolest house on the planet. My only regret was that I didn't ask Pepe to cook breakfast or do margaritas every single night. He's a true gem and I can't sing his praises enough. Thanks, Tom, for opening your mystical home to us! Looking forward to the next!!"

  • Perfect for the 10 of us!

"3 groups of our family meet from Texas, California and Arizona each year in Sayulita. 6 adults and 4 kids. Casa Paloma was absolutely perfect for our group. The location can't be beat- such an easy walk down the hill to the beach or to the center of town. No need for a car at all. The pool was beautiful, and the room setup was perfect. We all had plenty of space and privacy and each set of parents could be close to our kids. We'll absolutely be back."

  • close to perfect -- what more could one want? well maybe a hammock ...

"we moved into Casa B, as planned -- after having had most of our cash stolen from another somewhat nearby rental! So we were a little cautious -- but came to realize that there is little or no reason for caution at Casa B -- we felt secure, yet open to the outdoors, and great proximity to the beach. Casa B is part of the Los Gemelos complex (6, i think, privately-owned houses) all within the same compound, sharing the same nice pool (with shallow wading area for the young ones (and "Pico" the dog)). Yes, we basically had no reason for caution at Casa B -- there was a security guard on the premises at night. If you plan to vacation and not interact with others in the area -- then maybe Los Gemelos (including Casa Bollinger) might not be for you. The lay-out of the "complex" is such that you will encounter the other guests and residents. While we were there we talked with and almost all the others, knew where they were from, had tips where to shop and eat and drive to, etc. Again, Playa Sayulita is right in front of you -- and Casa B is situated ideally with respect to the beach -- in that you can walk to the left (southerly) into increasing crowded and active areas (the larger hotels and resorts and "down-town" is that way) -- or walk up northerly (right) for a more isolated beach experience. The beach (when we were there, February) is kind of a bazaar or circus -- lots of stuff going on -- frolicking in the surf, SURFING, just plain lying in the sun, frisbie -- and lots of dogs. Dogs are kind of an auxiliary class of citizen(s) in Sayulita. You'll see why. The actual premises includes three bedrooms each with bath, a small-ish kitchen, a separate large room/cabana -- big enough for everyone to eat or play cards together -- and the interior 'courtyard' as well."

  • The Perfect Sayulita stay!

"We had a fantastic stay at the Casa de las Delicias in April - the weather was warm and the sea was calm all week and perfect for the children. The casa has everything you could need - a really well equipped kitchen, a refreshing pool (much bigger than we expected), lovely palapa for breakfasts and dinners under the stars, and a comfortable lounge area. The house is a short walk from the center of town which means that you can escape from the noise and nightlife and escape into the sounds of nature - there are so many tropical birds and you feel like you are on the edge of the rainforest. We would thoroughly recommend Casa de las Delicias, and we really hope to go back soon! Thanks Connie!"
