  • Happiness in Sayulita

"I don't even know where to start, except to say that my husband and I spent a week in Sayulita last Christmas, and I believe we found the very last available accommodation in all of Sayulita. This year I got on it early, and as soon as I found Joan and Dave's property, I was hooked. We stayed at their newly finished Tres Palmas, and it was absolute perfection. Every detail was perfect and carefully considered. A great and very comfortable bed, a fabulous and very functional kitchen, a lovely bathroom with lots of hot water, and best of all, filtered water on demand. The pool was wonderful for a cool and refreshing dip, and the views overlooking the ocean were blissful. Joan and Dave are very considerate and kind hosts, and went out of their way to offer interesting suggestions for places to check out, hidden beaches, cool places to eat. They were great fun and we were so happy with our 2 weeks there. Needless to say, it was rather hard to leave! I would highly recommend staying at Casa Colibri, and this is THE place to stay in Sayulita. Thanks Joan and Dave for making it as fabulous as it was!"

  • Perfect Place to Stay in Sayulita

"If you like the pictures you'll love this place. The house and grounds are even nicer than the pictures. Sarah keeps everything immaculate. 3 blocks from the main part of town so nice and quiet, yet a five minute nice stroll to town. Lots of excellent restaurants within a block or two. Easy access to the beach. Pretty big waves at the beach right by the house. Most surfing, boogie boarding, and swimming are done at the beach in town. The smallest waves are at the opposite end of town (still just a 10 minute walk - we did it with a three and seven year old with no complaints. Take the chairs and umbrella from the house. We ate at a lot of different places and never had anything less than really really good food and usually exceptional. Most of our meals were at the highest rated Mexican cheap eats on Trip Advisor. All were fabulous. Pizza Venezia - last time I had pizza this good was in Naples. Get a reservation and you'll still wait a long time for your meal, but relax, you're in Mexico. Use the ice chest in the house and bring your own beer. Mamma Mia's - My wife had gnocchi - It was better than Serrento, Italy. La Rustica also had very good pizza, but not as good as Pizza Venezia. Sayulita is a wonderful little town."

  • Private paradise in the middle of it all!

"My husband and I stayed at Casa Sopresa with our 5 month old and my parents for a wonderful, relaxing family vacation. The location is ideal, close to great restaurants in the North side of Sayulita with an easy short walk to the quieter North Beach and busier and louder main part of Sayulita. Sayulita is very family friendly. The best part though, was having our own private courtyard and pool to escape the heat and retreat from other people. Casa Sopresa is well cared for, very clean, with comfortable beds, AC in the bedrooms and a well-stocked kitchen. Renee, the manager, was very helpful when we had minor questions and even got an electrician to come over within an hour of our call when there was a minor issue. Highly recommended!"
