  • Great views and location!

"We had a great time at Selva Y Sol. The walk up and down the hill to town only took about 10 minutes and the location was quiet and private. It was very hot while we were there but the ceiling fans and breeze kept the house cool enough and the bugs away. Bed was comfortable and everything worked. We would certainly stay again."

  • Superlative!

"Casa Cuiza is a beautiful five star house in which to have a wonderful holiday, the sum as great as the parts. Perched on the hill over town with a gorgeous view of the Pacific, you can hear the waves echo along the shore. It takes a mere five-minute walk to get both to the town centre and the long sandy beach. Verdant flowering gardens surround the house. The 25-meter lap pool offers a great swim workout. The owners have attended to furnishings that provide such a warm feeling, assuring the house is impeccably clean. The colourful kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals. The second floor bedrooms, each with their own terrace, perfect for meditation and yoga, overlook the garden with the Pacific in the background. We would return in a flash."

  • Beautiful spacious rental with breathtaking views...

"Villa Karuna was the perfect retreat from California winter for us. It was clean, spacious, tastefully designed and decorated, with amazing jungle and ocean views. We watched whales while eating breakfast! The grounds are beautifully maintained, with flowering trees and bushes surrounding the sweet heart shaped infinity pool. The location was one of the best things about it, far enough away from Sayulita to be quiet and private, but close enough to be very a convenient quick drive (or longer walk). And just a short walk through the jungle on a well maintained trail to get to our favorite and the most private beach around! The kitchen was well equipped, and definitely don't miss soaking in the beautiful bathtub in the master bath...."

  • close to perfect -- what more could one want? well maybe a hammock ...

"we moved into Casa B, as planned -- after having had most of our cash stolen from another somewhat nearby rental! So we were a little cautious -- but came to realize that there is little or no reason for caution at Casa B -- we felt secure, yet open to the outdoors, and great proximity to the beach. Casa B is part of the Los Gemelos complex (6, i think, privately-owned houses) all within the same compound, sharing the same nice pool (with shallow wading area for the young ones (and "Pico" the dog)). Yes, we basically had no reason for caution at Casa B -- there was a security guard on the premises at night. If you plan to vacation and not interact with others in the area -- then maybe Los Gemelos (including Casa Bollinger) might not be for you. The lay-out of the "complex" is such that you will encounter the other guests and residents. While we were there we talked with and almost all the others, knew where they were from, had tips where to shop and eat and drive to, etc. Again, Playa Sayulita is right in front of you -- and Casa B is situated ideally with respect to the beach -- in that you can walk to the left (southerly) into increasing crowded and active areas (the larger hotels and resorts and "down-town" is that way) -- or walk up northerly (right) for a more isolated beach experience. The beach (when we were there, February) is kind of a bazaar or circus -- lots of stuff going on -- frolicking in the surf, SURFING, just plain lying in the sun, frisbie -- and lots of dogs. Dogs are kind of an auxiliary class of citizen(s) in Sayulita. You'll see why. The actual premises includes three bedrooms each with bath, a small-ish kitchen, a separate large room/cabana -- big enough for everyone to eat or play cards together -- and the interior 'courtyard' as well."
