About this property
Private Dipping Pool. Ocean Views. (Casita #4)
Casitas Del Mar unit #4 is a large, beautifully styled home with a spectacular Ocean View and private pool also with an ocean view. Designed by an award winning architect this lovely Casita has everything you want and more. Marble floors throughout makes this a unique romantic getaway. Spectacular Ocean views from the living room, balcony and bedroom.
Sayulita topography is hilly. It descends down into the village and beach which is flat. To get a great view of the ocean or jungle you either have to climb a hill, or be on the ocean front which is much more expensive. My casas are up a short (50 meter) but steep driveway. If you have disabilities that make walking difficult this is probably not the right place for you. They overlook the village below and the ocean beyond. We are right in the village but above it. You can walk to the village or beach in 5 minutes. Because of the height, you have a sweeping view of the ocean and always a fresh breeze coming off the ocean. That is what makes it worth the walk up the hill.
I live in a mixed neighborhood of American and Mexican nationals. Sayulita is a festive and noisy village. There are always fiestas, music, and parades. Since Covid ended we have an influx of highly accomplished musicians from a bar close by, you will hear some of the best jazz, blues, salsa, and rock. On the weekends they crank up the music louder. If you are a light sleeper or need to block out the sound, bring ear plugs, or you can use a white noise fan aid from YouTube. If your earphones connect to the smart phone, the white noise fan should solve the problem. The great majority of guests are not bothered by the sounds of Sayulita.
My casas are constructed with organic and traditional Mexican architecture in mind. From marble and vintage tile, or clay tile floors to palapa roofs (depending which casa).
When I am here you may always text me or stop in to ask questions or seek help. When I am out of town my property manager, Jose is here to help. Please let us know when you need more purified water, toilet paper, soap, or garbage bags.
I have 5 African dry land tortoises that live outside. They roam about in their space most of the day sunning and looking for something to eat. Please don`t feed them except Nopales cactus which I grow. They will eat out of your hand. They are the only breed of this type in Sayulita

Would recommend! The location is great, just outside the busier main part of Sayulita and a five minute walk from the plaza. Beautiful view from the patio with plunge pool!
Host was very responsive. Good firm bed, loved overall location. Hill is VERY steep to walk. Not cute shoe friendly, it’s definitely not for people that have hard time walking steep areas. But wasn’t super big deal for us. Sweetest kitty that visited us every day. Would recommend. Just note that sayuLita is a really noisy town— all day all night. Not as chill as San pancho
My partner and I visited Sayulita for a few days and stayed at Casita #4. This was our 5th time visiting Sayulita and easily our favorite rental. The casita’s layout is perfect for a couple. Plenty of space, good air conditioning, a comfortable bed and couch, reliable WiFi, and amazing artwork throughout. The pool is the cherry on top. Perfect temperature and very private. As others have said, the house is atop a pretty steep hill. Our Uber struggled on the way up, but we had no problem walking up and down. Our golf cart also had no issues. Highly recommend for visitors who want to be close to town, but far/high enough that the noise doesn’t bother you. We’ll be back!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views overlooking Sayulita were amazing. The property is very well laid out so the space felt surprisingly secluded and private. Loved it!
What can’t I say about our stay at Greg’s casita in Sayulita. Pictures don’t do the place justice the amazing views, the cleanliness, loved the privacy and pool. A quick walk to town, great bars, beach and eateries. We honestly cant wait to book our return trip and stay there again.
Description of property was spot on. Great location to downtown and the beach. Excellent communication with the owner. It is a steep hill, but both of us are 55 years old and we went up and down numerous times a day without issue. Would definitely stay here again.
The place was more charming than the pictures and description made it seem. Greg was a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. Views were outstanding and place was cozy an clean. Highly recommend.
Spacious with a beautiful view. Just be prepared for a step short walk up the lane as Greg says. But once down you are near everything a great coffee Cafe. A wonderful wine cafe and an awesome bar calle the Cave, i think. Had a great time just wish it was longer
I love the place very nice had everything you need it was a workout going up and down the hill but if you are in shape it’s not a problem. I would definitely book again .
We had a fantastic stay at the casita. Greg was such an accommodating, friendly, and responsive host. There is a steep hill, but we had no problem with it. It's in a very convenient location close to the center of town which was great. You can definitely hear music from the town at night, but I used a white noise app and had no problem sleeping. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great time in Sayulita and Casita #4. The views are amazing and the pool came in handy on hot days. We had a couple minor issues and they were resolved immediately. The road to the Casita is definitely steep so keep that in mind. The steep road leads to awesome views, however.
Beautiful view. Spacious living areas. Comfy bed. Cold blowing AC. AND The dipping pool is exactly what you need after a hot day in the sun Greg is awesome and very accommodating. The location is tucked away enough so you’re out of the party zone. We recommend bringing ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper due to noise from the bars in the late evening and being fairly comfortable with climbing a steep hill up to the property if you are not renting golf car or atv. Will be looking at staying here again in the future.
Sayulita is a beautiful, lively town. The accommodations were wonderful. We loved having the tiny pool directly outside of the bedroom. The views of the town and the beach made it extra special. We would highly recommend staying! Just bare in mind, that it is at the top of a steep hill and your calves will be burning.
I loved where we stayed. Jose Manuel was so sweet. The view was amazing especially with the lightning storms we got to watch from our balcony. Loved dipping in the pool to cool off when we got home. Kinda fell in love with a neighbors kitty. She is so sweet. The hill is a little bit of a workout but we got a golf cart which made it fun.

I moved to Sayulita 7 years ago. I love it so much that I built a house 2 years later and now use it as a rental. I also like to garden so I've planted tropical fruit trees and plants for you. If you like tropical flowers you won't be disappointed...I have many varieties.
