  • The Grand Mayan is Luxe

"Great resort with everything one could want. Mr Day was so helpful in assuring our trip went smoothly and was right on target with his presentation of the property. The rooms and service were Top Notch. This is as clean and safe a place we have ever visited. The Restaurant choices and food quality were superb and the Cirque Experience is a must. We will definitely return to Grand Mayan. The only negative was the free shuttle from the airport, I recommend a cab (was $30 for 3 of us). The weather wasn't super nice, but we were busy all the time. The sales presentation was not high pressure, and we ended up getting about $350 off our bill plus a great breakfast for 3 for 2 hours of our time."

"We rented the Grand Luxxe 3 BR Loft and loved it! Our 4 daughters (13-20 years old) also had a great time. The conclusion was that this was the best place that we have traveled - because of the how wonderful the resort was! Everything we wanted/needed was onsite - no need to leave the property. Even Cirque du Soleil onsite! Many restaurants to choose from (from Italian, Asian, French, seafood, and our favorite Burger Custom Made). The waiters at the restaurants, housekeeping staff, concierge, etc. were incredible and there to help with any question/need we had. The resort gave us the best of both worlds - jungle view from our room & the beach a close walk away. We highly recommend this property and intend to come back in the near future! A huge part of our satisfaction and high rating is due to the owners, Scott & Lacy. They were super to work with! Our vacation planning went without a flaw because they made us feel very comfortable throughout the rental experience with them. Always available for my many questions ; ) They also followed up following our vacation to make sure everything went well for us! We've traveled to Costa Rica, Hawaii, & Cabo San Lucas and we would have to say that this resort & working with Scott & Lacy was the best of them all!"

  • Grand Bliss

"The property is magnificent. The staff are friendly and courteous. Your every want is taken care of at this resort. The grounds are beautiful, a well kept jungle. Spotless everywhere you go. The restaurants are great from top shelf to burgers by the sea. 30 minutes from Cancun. Going back, just not during summer."

  • A wonderful stay

"My wife and I recently returned from 6 nights at the El Dorado Casitas. Overall, it was an excellent experience. Nate was very attentive in the pre-vacation planning and answered all my questions promptly. I had confidence that if something went awry, he would be able to quickly resolve it. Needless to say, nothing did. I studied the website extensively so that I knew what unit type we would be staying in. The unit that we rented with this package is a Casita Suite. Upgrades from this include pool suites on the upper level and swim-up pool suites on the lower levels. Each grouping of suites (about 20+) has a private common pool, large Jacuzzi and a swim up bar. These are steps away from the beach with first come first serve cabanas. All areas are served by a beach butler. With the exception of one day off, we had the same person each day and the guests get to know him very well. It's a very nice and personalized service. Gourmet inclusive is all the food and beverages (premium liquors too) included. Premium wines are not included, but the house wines are. Some of the extracurricular activities may be additional and the staff accepts tips. Otherwise, spending at the resort is very minimal. I kept some tipping pesos handy and rarely carried a wallet. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to the upper level pool suite. After meeting other guests, we learned several others received one too. Regardless, we would have been happy. Some of the restaurants are better than others, but there are many to chose from. We never ate at the same place twice. The grounds are beautiful with about a mile from one end of the resort to the other. Club car shuttles will take you anywhere you need to go. We mostly enjoyed walking, but on the nice evening dinner out when the wife wears heals or if it is raining, the club car is very convenient. The beach is very nice, but the surf can be a bit rough. It makes for very nice wave sounds. Overall, with the premium drinks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a nice room all included, this is an excellent value and we will recommend this to our friends."
