  • Relaxing, beautiful 10 days!

"Our youngest graduated from high school so this was family getaway. We have close friends in Merida, so we wanted to be close to the city, yet on the beach. There were 6 of us and everyone had an amazing time. The house was everything that was advertised. We spent most of our time outside in pool, beach and courtyard. We prepared meals outside and enjoyed all of our meals there as well. The sunsets were spectacular!! La Playa, a wonderful seafood restaurant was 2 doors down the beach. Property manager David was awesome and Herb the groundskeeper was attentive and so very helpful! We loved the 2 canine residents and felt safe and secure every minute. We truly cannot wait to book this home again! We rented a car at the airport in Merida from La Curva (thank you Joaquin) which made our trips to Merida so very easy! We stopped at WalMart and Costco in Merida and stocked up on our first day and then bought locally in Chelem and Progresso after that. Thank you Pat, David, Herb and Homeaway for a wonderful vacation."

  • A great vacation home

"We had an amazing experience staying at Villa de Brisas. The house is beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners, Henry and Nancy were very helpful. We were in touch with them since before we booked until we came home. They provided all of the information we needed for our first time in Mexico and more. I have gluten allergies and Nancy even sent me a list of where I could safely eat and shop for gluten-free products. When we arrived the microwave was out getting fixed so Henry had a brand new one delivered to us. We were there for almost six weeks and enjoyed every moment. We felt very safe the entire time. The beach is very quiet and peaceful and the view from the house is incredible. Downstairs, the living, dining and kitchen overlook the beach and upstairs the huge master bedroom boasts the same amazing view. Merida is an hour away with a Costco, many Walmart stores, many restaurants and shopping malls. There is a direct flight offered by Westjet from Toronto to Merida every Tuesday from December to April. Thrilled to have had this experience."

  • Wonderful and Charming Stay on the Beach

"We spent ten days in El Cuyo, a nice little fishing village about a 2.5 hour drive from the Cancun airport. Before our trip I had many questions which Yahaira was great about answering in a timely manner. We had a little trouble connecting with the rental caretakers when we first arrived, but that was because our cell phones didn't work. But Sarah and Gabriel showed up about 15 minutes after we arrived and got us settled in. They checked in on us almost daily, and even offered to give us a tour of the town. The house is great! Lots of room and all the cooking utensils we needed and it was very clean. The location is great, especially if you do not want to do the touristy thing. The house is located down a quiet (bumpy) road, and almost every time we swam we had the entire beach to ourselves, as far as we could see. Swim towels are provided for you, as well as towels for your showers, sheets and dish towels (I was impressed that they even provided new bars of soap and a new scrub pad for the kitchen!). The only suggestion I have is that they provide more fans. We had four, but two didn't work very well. I realize that Mexico in July is very hot, but with no air conditioning the downstairs room was very hot at night. We even kept all of the doors and windows open at night but the air just couldn't get back to that room. But other than that, the rental was wonderful and we loved our very comfortable stay. We took some day trips to the ruins and cenotes and enjoyed some of the small quaint local restaurants. The locals were very nice and we had a wonderful vacation."

  • Great in every way!

"My partner and I stayed at Casa Pocito for 5 days at the end of June. From the moment we opened the doors, we knew we made the right choice. The Casa is very well appointed with interesting furnishings in a relaxing and warm setting. The plunge pool is a great way to cool down after spending the day exploring the City. The Casa is in a great location. It is a short walk to the Town Centre and other places of interest. Le Negrita is right next store and worth a visit. Pamela arranged for a chef to cook for us one evening. She is a great help if you need advice. Thanks for sharing your Casa, we definitely will return."
