  • Amazing place! Trip of a lifetime. Beautiful place with an amazing View. In the heart of Teahupoo!

"Green Room Villa - I can't say enough about our experience in Tahiti. A group of our friends went this year in August for two weeks, we stayed at the Villa and had the trip of a lifetime. The house is amazing. It's in the perfect location for a Teahupoo holiday. Josh was extremely helpful and welcoming. He made sure that all of our questions were answered and that our arrival and departure to the house was as easy as possible. He was very responsive and was always available. Theresa and her daughter were wonderful. They met us at the gate and showed the house even though we flew in late. They made sure that we had everything and solved the Internet issue as soon as we had one. Really amazing people and so nice to have so close. Really recommend this place for anyone who loves to be around an amazing culture and loves surfing."

  • Adventure, Peace and comfort

"While the other reviews pretty much cover the comfort of staying in one of Raphael's houses, I would like to add that this island and this location makes for a truly different kind of vacation. A relaxing one. As a family (we were 2 parents, 3 children and a grandmother) it would cost us quite a bit to stay in even the most reasonable hotel in French polynesia. Staying at the Villas Bougainville which offered us a car, a small boat and a three bedroom air conditioned house made this fun vacation very affordable. a great spot for 3 couples or a group of friends. Why should you go to a small island like Huahine instead of one of the big resort islands? it is a matter of preference but we like to travel and see how the people who actually live there do. Huahine is a lush garden of an island with most of its industry being farming and fishing. the few small hotels cater to only a few dozen tourists at a time. In staying at the Villas we were living in a house alongside local people ( with plenty of privacy on the 70 acre grounds, often eating out at the local food trucks and sometimes cooking at home with the abundant supplies of the local market ( warning, like the Tardis, it is bigger on the inside). There is plenty to do on Huahine for a week's stay and all of it is easy to get to and close. There are very few cars on the roads and they are polite drivers. we visited the Marae, the sacred eels, beaches that we could only get to by boat ( along with the multimillion dollar yachts) and still had time to come back for leisurely afternoons playing on the dock, taking a hike in the rain forest, or being given a personal tour of the vanilla plantation and being shown how they are pollinated by hand. We have never had such a relaxing time. Raphael was beyond accommodating as we changed our time of arrival and extended our stay for 4 extra days. You will wish you could too."

  • Fantastic get away from the tourist scene.

"The place was beautiful and relaxing. This is not your typical island retreat. You will have to rough it a little. No air, room service or walking to the store but that's the whole point of this place. To fall off the edge of the earth into your own paradise. Property was well taken care of and clean for being an open house, no doors or windows in the main house. Sleeping quarters were covered and lockable. Caretakers were attentive and left us to our own unless we needed something. Brought us fresh fruit a couple of times. Little bit of a language issue but hand signs work well enough. Lots of tours for seeing the island and the surrounding water. We were provided with a 15 foot boat to do our own site seeing and getting back and forth to the main island for food, etc. If it rains, you get wet. If the waves are a little rough, you get wet. This is all part of the adventure. There were 4 of us and we had plenty of room to hang out. The views from the house and property are beautiful. Bugs were not an issue due to the constant breeze over the island. Bora Bora is a wonderful place to take on this adventure."
