  • Exceeded expectations!

"It was just a short three night stay to spend some time with the family living in Pacific Grove. The house is located within easy walking distance to Lover's Point, where my morning coffee was greeted by the sun rising over beautiful Monterey Bay. The house is beautiful and smartly decorated and very comfortable. Much of the artwork on the walls are old era pictures of the area and probably have more significance to the property and community than I was able to decipher during my short stay. The family and grandkids came over for Sunday barbecue on what was a cool and rainy evening. We had a wonderful time watching movies and playing games in front of the beautiful and warm fireplace! Nina was great and had the place in tip-top shape. I will consider it my first desired option when I return and recommend it to anyone wishing to visit one of the most beautiful coastlines on the planet."

  • This is our 2nd visit here. There will be a third.

"If you're looking at this review, you're already looking at pictures of this place, so you know its furnished, cozy, and near the sea. So it's hard to know what to tell you, but Ill give this a try. The owners are courteous, flexible, and understanding. The floors are wooden, warm, and comfortable and the place is decorated in that "everything is ocean related" thing that works perfectly in an ocean cottage and nowhere else. The shower is warm and high pressure (a weird thing to put in a review, but lets be honest, you want to know that) The availability of the Aquarium tickets was a kind bonus to the stay If you haven't been to the Monterey Aquarium, check it out. Seriously, I don't care who you are, you can watch Otters dance for hours. We've visited this cottage in October and November, both times is was cool without being cold, and Monterey was fun without feeling crowded. Both times we were there for multiple days, and alternated between grilling out (there's a picnic area nearby where you can grill right by the ocean) and eating out. This is a great place to stay at a reasonable price. Is small, but get serious, its a cottage. Id recommend staying here to friends that I'm interested in keeping."

  • Beautiful Home, Terrific Host

"Our family rented this home for a wedding in Monterey. This home is so beautiful and the views from the picture windows of the coastline were gorgeous. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and the amenities (hot tub, game room, patio) were really appreciated by everyone. It is just a few minutes from Point Lobos state park, where several of our family enjoyed hikes every morning. Keith was a terrific host, taking care of a small issue and answering our questions. Several of the wedding guests who saw the house asked about how to rent...I suspect Keith will be hearing from them in the near future."

  • My Favorite Place

"I have returned to the cottage for 7 years. I travel a great distance to do so. The reason is mainly because Jann is such an incredible hostess and is very attentive to each guest. The home is wonderful, and the bed is amazing. You truly will not want for anything there. The area is probably one of the most beautiful spots in the US. Point Lobos and the town of Carmel and the wonderful beach are within 5-15 minutes. I am so thankful that my well behaved dogs are welcome. It makes the drive from Colorado well worth it!"
