  • Beautiful home!

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Mountain House! It was the perfect place for our friends to get together for the weekend and relax. The house was just a short drive from Monterey and Carmel, but with the houses amazing views and relaxing vibe it was nice to stay in and chill. Very friendly and great service from Hotel 1110 I would definitely like to return."

  • Beautiful , Relaxing and Perfect Location

"My wife and I just spent a glorius week at Paula and Tony's home. We are frequent visitors to Carmel and this by far was our best trip ,largely as a result of where we stayed. The view from the deck becomes almost hypnotic along with the gorgeous landscaping and flower arrangements. Though we often go out for dinner to the many great restaurants in Carmel, we stayed in most nights having cocktails on the deck, followed by dinner on the grill, listening to wonderful music on the CD payer. The house is beautifully furnished with happy and colorful artwork and is very close to the beach where we took some great walks. Early morning I took runs along Scenic Road with views overlooking the wetlands and ocean. Amazing !!! Carmel Point, where the house is located, provides a perfect area in which to stay where you are away from the crowds in town, but close enough to get to for shopping ,lunch or dinner (about a mile). The location also provides easy access in and out of town to avoid the traffic and is close to Crossroads Shopping Center for wine and groceries. Cannot wait to return !!!"

  • Breathtaking

"Even for a person who has lived most of my life on the coast, staying at the Abalone Cottage was an incredibly experience. To have the Pacific Ocean as part of the front yard is so seldom experienced that it was all we could do to tear ourselves away from the view to do anything else. The cottage is immaculately maintained both inside and out, no small task for a home on the water. The furniture is extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything I could possibly need, the linens were wonderful, more hidden in plain sight storage space was discovered every day, lanterns and flashlights were conveniently placed should we lose power (we didn't) and wood available should we want to make a fire. The showers were great, the bathroom spotless, plenty of extra towels for shower or the beach and even an apartment size washer/dryer was provided. There is nothing more we could have asked for. We were in love and truly hope to return next year."

  • Amazing house

"We had a wonderful stay in this house!! I would happily stay here again on my next visit to the area. As the other reviewers have mentioned the house is clean, cozy, modern and peaceful, and it's clear that the owners have a background in art and design. The kitchen was also well-equipped. Despite the fact that the house is quiet and secluded, it's also close to shops, restaurants and other amenities--this made it super convenient. We spent most of our days hiking in Big Sur, which is only a short drive away. We also spent one night in the guest house. The guest house is every bit as nice as the main house, but it's smaller. It's really meant for a couple, but there's a fold-out sofa that could be used for a third person in a pinch."
