  • Wonderful in every way

"We loved the guesthouse at 424 East Islay St. It was pure delight. The aesthetics were pleasing to the senses. The decor was lovely, and all the touches conveyed comfort and convenience. The rooms were full of natural light but also screened for privacy. The living space was surrounded by a deck with many beautiful plants. The well equipped kitchen, thick bath towels, and plethora of local information all attest to the hosts thoughtful care of their guests. Hosts Barbara and Russell could not have been nicer. I immediately liked the tone of Barbara's responses to my initial inquiry. We were greeted by a warm welcome in person and continued care about our comfort. Finally, the location is just right in a quiet neighborhood accessible to Santa Barbara's many attractions. We could imagine spending a lot longer than these two weeks there. Thank you, Barbara and Russell!"

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"This location is fantastic and Janet and her team do a great job as hosts. My parents stayed here in early September and they still rave about it. They're eager for a second trip to this quaint oasis. I can't thank you enough for giving them a great place to stay, delicious breakfast and overall, an incredibly memorable experience. We'll definitely be repeat customers!"

  • The Perfect Get-away

"Beautiful, intimate yet roomy home. Gorgeous outdoor space with wonderful lap pool and hot tub. We dined by the beautiful outdoor fireplace every night. Great location--close to town, but far enough away from downtown noise and traffic to enjoy some tranquility. Close walk to the historic Mission. Easy to get to grocery stores and nearby restaurants. We could not have been happier--it really was the perfect get-away."

  • Terrific Santa Barbara Getaway

"This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. We came back a second time because we love it. It's a block away from State Street, so we ended up not driving all 4 days we stayed. The unit is appointed very well. If you like color, warmth, quaintness, and want to live for a little while in a bit of historic coastal California, then this is the place for you. I hope to return."
