  • Fantastic stay!

"My husband, my dog, and I stayed for two nights at one of Janet's cottages and we couldn't be any happier. Janet is a wonderful hostess and will make whatever it takes to make you feel like home. Everything was well thought and planned, the cottage was really tidy and clean and it came with perks like bottled water by the bed, a bottle of wine upon arrival, and tasty breakfast including fresh eggs from Janet's chickens :) Janet is really accommodating, we will definitely be back. Thanks Janet!"

  • Perfect spot for small family

"My family of three stayed at this bungalow for four nights. We had a two-year old with us so we needed a place with a kitchen and space for play. The home is completely functional with microwave, pots/pans, dishes, toaster, cable TV, etc. Peggy was very nice and helpful as well. My husband forgot his briefcase there and Peggy was kind enough to ship it to him. The location is close driving distance to all attractions."

  • Pure Magic

"What an incredible weekend. My girlfriends and I just returned home to Chicago after spending three nights and four days in this unbelievable home. The location of the property could not have been better. We were about a half mile from downtown Montecito, about a mile and a half from East Beach and a very short 10 minute drive to State Street/ the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara. While the location was absolutely perfect, we could have spent the entire time relaxing at the property itself. Our group was comprised of 9 girls. The three bedroom main house and the cozy two bedroom cottage in the back allowed for ample room for all. The main house is incredibly spacious. The wide open kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and cooking dinner for the group. The dining room and huge living room gave us the opportunity to spend the entire time together enjoy one another's company. The cottage in the back was the perfect amount of space for four girls to lounge, sleep and get ready for our daily activities. It did not feel awkward at all being separated from the group in the back and I had originally thought it would be. It was a perfect amount of space for all. When we were choosing a home to rent for our girl's weekend, we carefully read the other reviews and viewed the pictures that were provided in the listing. Quite honestly, neither do the backyard garden justice. There was a beautiful, peaceful energy amongst the gorgeous landscape filled with an abundance of flowers, greenery and the most picturesque lemon trees. Bluebirds fluttered in the garden in the mornings and we were greeted by beautiful butterflies in the afternoon. Our entire group spent the majority of our time back here. We had breakfast at the large outdoor dining table and sipped wine in the back by the flower garden. It was, as I titled this post, pure magic. Roger could not have been a more gracious host. He was in constant contact prior to our stay and gave us all the information we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable. Our entire group agreed that this would be our perfect home away from home and that we will absolutely be making a return stay. In my opinion, this home is everything you could want in a vacation rental and I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else if you get the opportunity. The weekend could not have been more perfect and this lovely home could not have provided a more inviting and gorgeous backdrop."

  • Terrific Santa Barbara Getaway

"This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. We came back a second time because we love it. It's a block away from State Street, so we ended up not driving all 4 days we stayed. The unit is appointed very well. If you like color, warmth, quaintness, and want to live for a little while in a bit of historic coastal California, then this is the place for you. I hope to return."
