"Wonderful time....beautiful location....stunning property. Has everything we needed. The owner Bob was quite helpful and actually visited the property to answer some of our questions. We will be returning."

  • Delightful and Unique

"This was a delightful and unique cottage. There was a garden bistro area to drink wine which Janet so generously provided along with eating our bagel with salmon and cream cheese for breakfast. The cottage was clean and had everything needed for a visit to Santa Barbara. I don't think I have ever slept as well with the fresh air, sound of water and scent from the flowers. It was very quiet. Santa Barbara was fun to visit-State Street and the wharf were enjoyable along with the general atmosphere of the town. We would recommend this to any and everyone!"

  • Everything we could have dreamed of...and more!

"This home provided my husband, 2 friends, and myself the most relaxing and welcoming stay we could have asked for. Where do I begin? The house itself is quaint yet spacious and allowed plenty of room for the 4 of us to reside for the week. The decor is beautiful, charming, and unique. The house was super clean and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable including plenty of towels, extra blankets, coffee machine, and booklet of all the cool things to do and places to eat around town. The bedroom doors opening to the lush garden was a special treat and sipping coffee on the patio surrounded by the California flora was a fabulous start to our mornings. The jacuzzi was a highlight for sure! In addition, the communication from the family was always swift and personable. This house is a must-see and a must-stay!"

  • Perfect place for 70th Birthday Celebration

"The Casita was the perfect place to spend a week exploring the Santa Barbara area for my husband's 70th Birthday. The description and excellent reviews which made me choose this property were accurate and very helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom luxurious. We cooked 5 of the 7 nights and Mary and Tom had everything one might need or use in the very well furnished kitchen. It was nice to have fresh cold filtered water in the refrigerator and 2 fans going when we arrived on a very hot day. There are windows all around the apartment, so a nice breeze came in every night and we were quite comfortable during the unusual hot spell. The sitting area was a cozy place to read or watch TV (which we didn't, but I assume it worked just fine). We also appreciated the double bed lights so that we could read in bed. We did not take advantage of the garden area, but It looked inviting for a quiet read or visit. The location is awesome - near everything, in a very nice neighborhood, with wonderful views from every window! We will definitely recommend this guest casita to anyone we know who plans to visit Santa Barbara. We had come prepared with a list of things to do and see, but did appreciate all the information that Mary and Tom provided on the sights, activities, restaurants, etc. If you have time, be sure to check out the Botanical Gardens, the Channel Islands for hiking, La Purisima Mission in Lompoc, Solvang (we enjoyed the outdoor theater), and of course, all the town sights. And if you like Traditional Irish Music and are there on a Thursday night, go to Dargans. We had a great time, enjoyed the beer, didn't think too much of the food, but we were there for the music which was wonderful! And finally, if/when we go back to Santa Barbara, the Casita would be our first choice of a place to stay."
