  • A terrific rental in Borrego Springs

"This is a beautiful and very comfortable house. It is nicely located, a five minute drive from the Circle but in a very quiet and private corner of town. The house is well furnished, well equipped, and well supplied. The appliances are top quality and new. It was easy to cook in the full kitchen, and the grill in the back gave us another option. We had a few small issues, and the owners were very responsive to our communications. We used the heat for a few minutes every morning and found it quite effective. We did not have the opportunity to use the air conditioning. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and would definitively stay here again on a return visit to Borrego Springs."

  • What's not to love?

"This is a great place to stay. My husband and I just finished a week there and we highly recommend it. The owners are terrific, responsive and helpful. Loved sitting outside at night looking at the stars, using an iPhone app to try and identify them. Nearby Ram's Hill Club has excellent food. If you want to sit outside at sunset, make a reservation. Also, the Italian restaurant out by the airport is pretty good, not fancy, but fine. The bed in the master was fine. Lots of lamps for reading. Two bathrooms so each person of the couple has his or her own. Spices and condiments are there as is information about what to do locally. Although we are not golfers, we heard others talk about how wonderful the course i. The home has a wonderful view of the course plus a pond with resident ducks. There was a wonderful art show in town that weekend plus plenty of birders, hikers, cyclists, four wheelers, golfers, painters, swimmers and people looking for the spring wildflowers. We did have a meal at nearby Zorro's and it made us wonder why anyone would go to a hotel in Borrego when they can enjoy a much better time here. Thanks to our hosts."

  • Always a great get-a-way!

"This was our third year in a row staying here, I guess it's now a tradition. The views from the home are excellent and to have this much open space around you while staying in comfort is hard to find. The pool and spa are perfect for spending the day with the family or soaking the sore muscles from the days hike. You can't go wrong grilling up dinner, enjoying a cold beverage and hanging out with friends and family on the outdoor covered patio. The palms are the property are really cool and I love to take photos as the light changes in the morning. To watch the moon set in the morning over the mountains was truley unique...a moment I was glad I was up early sipping on some hot tea on the patio. The kitchen is well appointed and easy to keep clean. Always enough beds and room for our family along with our dog who loves to run around the back yard, to her it's total freedom even though we know it's fully fenced in and she is safe. Rich the owner is easy to reach and answers all of your questions, happy to get to know him over the years we've been renting from him. VBRO makes it easy and safe to book, the App was nice to communicate with the owner. It gave helpful info before and during our trip! Book this property for your Borrego Springs get-a-way you will be happy you did!!!"

  • Our go-to getaway spot!

"This review is a long time coming, as my hubby and I have stayed at this casita enough times that by now we've lost count, and can only estimate it at "several!" But suffice to say that we keep coming back, because it's a great place to stay. We have seen Rams Hill through its period of decline, with its shuttered clubhouse and eerie, neglected golf course, and have been relieved to see its resurrection. Through it all, Kevin's casita has been the perfect "home base" for our Borrego getaways, always clean, comfortable and quiet. We usually bring our own food and cook our own meals. One time, I asked and Kevin provided us with a crockpot, and I was able to have our dinner happily crocking away as we spent the whole day out exploring the desert. We don't golf, but we have availed ourselves of the swimming pool a time or two, and we always enjoy walking around the entire development complex. There's also a big basket on the fireplace hearth filled with information on everything from local restaurants and attractions to the best places to hike, etc. At this time, things are changing in our lives, and I don't know when we will return, but I hope we do, and I think we will!"
