  • Unbelievable Vacation

""Walls of Glass" is an unbelievable place to stay for a family beach vacation. We were able to walk right into the house when we arrived by keying in the code that Don had programmed into the door locks. The house is beautiful with large windows and doors and panoramic views of the horizon and the waves crashing below. The housekeeper had the place spotless before we arrived. The house has a garage but it was so easy to just pull into the color coded parking place and then zip out later that we never used it. There is a full kitchen with a 12 cup programmable drip coffeemaker that works great. There are two clothes washers and two dryers in the garage. The beds are very comfortable. There are nice TVs in each bedroom and a huge TV in the den. There is a soundproofing wall between the house and Pacific Coast Highway. We tried to listen for traffic noise between the crashing of waves but couldn't hear any. We were there last week in mid July when the "heat dome" was over the country but the house was always cool with ocean breezes blowing through. We spent a lot of time on the beach and frequently were the only ones out there. The beach is really pretty. On Sunday morning after we arrived, we loaded up on fresh fruit and food from the Malibu Farmer's Market for the week. We had really good meals at the Reel Inn, Marmalade Cafe, Moonshadows, Duke's, Cafe Habana, Nobu, and Geoffrey's. We had pizza delivered from D'Amore's and ate on the balcony one night. The view was better than any oceanfront restaurant we tried during the week. This is really a great place. We can't wait to go back."

  • Great location, adorable carriage house

"My elderly mother and I stayed in this darling carriage house while visiting my son. It was very easy to access, close to my son's house, and my mother was able to navigate the small step into the bungalow. We really enjoyed the basket of goodies and we look forward to staying here next year. All of my questions and concerns were answered promptly. It was very close to the Grove/Farmer's market that we visited frequently. The location was perfect!!"

  • Perfect Long Beach Vacation!

"My family was in Long Beach for a dance convention. My older daughter and I would go to the dance convention each day while my husband and younger daughter would enjoy checking out Long Beach or playing on the beach in front of the condo. The condo was immaculate! It was SO clean, fresh and cool when we arrived! Air conditioning throughout was a major bonus although it was never oppressively hot out. The room darkening shades in the bedrooms made it easy for us to sleep well every night (which says a lot for a family coming from the mountains with NO neighbors, lots of dark and quiet). Street noise was not bothersome or noticeable to this mountain gal or my kids! The condo was well stocked with kitchen supplies (even tupperware and ziplocs!), beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, beach umbrella, bath towels and hairdryers!! The view was unbeatable and we enjoyed having morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach. I saw other comments that the bathrooms need updating, but I guess I'm old school~I find the features in the baths charming and a statement to the character of when the building was built. Plus, you can tell the owners are working their way through updates throughout the unit and I wouldn't be surprised if bathroom remodels were coming sometime in the future. I, for one, was just fine with the bathrooms as they were very clean, had lots of towels and washcloths, and hairdryers. Mark and Lorrie were a joy to work with. Mark walked us through everything we needed to know at check in and really made sure we "got it" in concerns to parking, key codes, and helping maintain the building and our unit. The added bonus of laundry detergent and quarters for your first load was huge since we had just come from Disneyland and had lots of laundry to do. Mark also gave us some great restaurant and activity recommendations. Dinner at King's Fish House was a highlight. I went on several walks and always felt safe on the beach bath and around town. Lorrie was helpful and responsive to any questions or requests we had and I loved how quickly she always got back to me. With a great location on the beach, awesome amenities throughout, close to the convention center in a vivacious town at such a great price we are looking forward to coming back!!"
