  • GORGEOUS BEACH HOUSE & PERFECT LOCATION

"Our group of 9 had the best experience at this incredibly quaint and beautiful beach house. It was the perfect location and distance from the wedding that we were in town for. The views of the ocean and ability to sit overlooking the water made our trip. The owner was extremely helpful. Booking this location, getting there with all the amenities, and checking out were all made to be extremely easy processes. We could not have loved this place anymore!"

  • Nice apartement close to the beach

"We (family of 4) had a great stay in Sarah's apartment. It is close to the beach and it's trail Where we went for walkes. The area is quiet. We loved the big hot-tub and bbq-area. The beds are very comfortabel! Sarah was a helpful host. Because we were the first tenants, we only missed some items in the kitchen and would have loved to have a vaccumcleaner and iron(board). Other than that we can recommend this lovely place."

  • Wonderful Cottage - Clean, Roomy and for us the perfect spot!

"Our family loved this place! It is located on South side of the island, on east side of Marine, just a handful of homes away from South Bay beach side. No car traffic really, because this location becomes a one way in the opposite direction of the flow of traffic on Marine. There is alot of foot traffic, but so fun for people watching and we find the people fun. The front porch is a wonderful place to sit and have a meal and do this. We did have several people inquire while we were sitting there about renting this property. One morning we found a fellow had come through our gate and was writing info from the rental sign down...but that is not the fault of the property owner, this fellow did not respect boundaries. We have no hesitancy in renting again just because of this. What makes the cottage perfect for us is that we could bring our children, grandchildren and our beloved dog! She loved her time on the island too! The owner, Sharon, is very on top of things that needed attention to, and very friendly. We appreciated this. Everyone in my family LOVED there time in the cottage. I have been asked by several people for this cottage's info, and I may regret sharing because we may find it hard to book a spot!"

  • Quite an interesting place! Loved our stay!

"We rented this property for a long weekend in June 2016 for a combined bachelor/bachelorette get together. 2 of us from Austin, 2 from LA, and 1 from NYC. Having a nice/shaded back patio w/grill, rooftop deck with ocean view, and full featured kitchen were GREAT! Everything was very clean, and the owners were very communicative prior to our arrival. The nearby Pacific Marine Mammal Center is a MUST SEE! I'm giving this property 5 stars because it was exactly what I expected it to be, maybe even a little better. That being said, here are a few bullet points you may want to consider. 1) This place has TONS of decor, trinkets, art, sculptures, etc. Very cool, but maybe not the best if you have some really rambunctious children that insist on playing with balls in the house. 2) The bedroom windows both face the South Coast Highway (1). The rooms both have portable air conditioners, which require one of the windows to be a little open for ventilation. If you are a very light sleeper, beware the sound of passing cars and streetlights will keep you up. There is a white noise machine, but still. 3)You must go up a flight of stairs to enter the property. Also, the walk to the beach (the beach was AWESOME) but the walk to it gets realllly steep. If you are planning on staying with someone that has limited mobility, I would suggest looking elsewhere further south where the beaches aren't below cliffs. 4) The TV's have VERY basic cable (no HGTV =[) and the WiFi can be painfully slow if you want to stream an HD movie or something (averaged <5Mbps). Other than that, you're good to go. Certainly cheaper than $500/night at a nearby hotel for just 1 room. You will miss it when you have to leave, I know we did."
