  • Wonderful beach cottage, perfect location!

"What a charming beach cottage! Walking distance from all downtown Del Mar restaurants/shopping and just a short walk away from Del Mar's best beach. I grew up in Del Mar (we were visiting my family) and we could not have picked a better location. Spacious and fully equipped. Great amenities for kids and families: a treehouse (with ocean view!), XBox, and bikes, etc. This rental is perfect for parties/families of 4-6 people."

  • Amazing & Relaxing Stay

"We spent 4 days in Fallbrook, booking the cottage immediately after we saw photos. When we got there, the photos did not do it justice! Kimberly & Ralph were amazing hosts, providing pretty much everything we could ask for and more! We traveled with our 5 year old daughter and she really enjoyed picking fresh oranges for breakfast and making juice :) The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and on a beautiful piece of property. Close enough to town to run in for a meal or groceries, but far enough away to have a very peaceful and relaxing vacation. We took several day trips to San Diego, La Jolla, the beaches, and L.A. We didn't want to leave! This place is definitely 5 stars. Book it- you won't be disappointed!"

  • Breathtaking views!

"This was the perfect place for our family get together! There was nice large, clean and comfortable rooms for everyone. We loved the top deck where everyone could be together and socialize. My older dog who has arthritis has a hard time walking the stairs, she loved the elevator! She was able to enjoy the top deck with all of us. The kitchen was very spacious and another fun place to gather. It was easy to enjoy all the great things the beach has to offer. We went on bike rides, long walks, we loved walking to the pier as well. The views were breathtaking and we spotted dolphins a few of the days. My family and I normally rent a beach house on a yearly basis. This house has definitely spoiled us! We will certainly be back and recommend you rent this house!"

  • Pristine, Adorable Tiny House

"My husband and I are in our mid 50's traveling to California for our nephew's wedding. This was the perfect tiny house for our 5 day San Diego trip. Everything was exactly as described.....even the wine and terrific cookies. We were particularly impressed with how clean and updated the property was. It is tiny, but provided everything you need at a value price for up to two people. Be aware that if you are from the Midwest, as we are, you will have to get used to parking in San Diego. When we first saw that off street parking can be crowded at times, we were a little concerned. By the end of the first day, we realized that parking is a challenge everywhere you go in San Diego. It just goes with the territory. We managed to get on street parking within a block of the property every day. Most days it was just a few feet away. This is a minor inconvenience compared to all the advantages this rental has to offer. Also, if you are a cable TV junkie, better bring your Roku. They offer only basic local antenna TV plus WiFi ....no cable. This wasn't much of an issue since we were constantly on the go and just used it for local weather while we were getting ready in the AM. There's just so much to see and do in San Diego, there was no time for hanging out in front of the tube. One thing we really enjoyed was the central location. University Heights is very centrally located, close to the zoo, Balboa Park and the airport. We were just a short drive from Old Town and Little Italy. The owners provided a great book of local attractions, maps and restaurants plus they provide an assortment of trial size toiletries, an iron and a blow dryer. We found the owners to be very responsive, just a quick text and any questions we had were quickly answered. The kitchen had all the basic necessities for reheating leftovers or making a simple breakfast. One final thing to consider about this booking is what a great value you get for the price. Lots of listings offer a low price, but when you factor in the added cleaning costs, you really are paying much more than you expect. This place only has a $20 cleaning fee. Plus there is a washer and dryer available just outside the door if you need to do a quick load. If you want to save a ton of money, but still stay in a clean, quiet central location, this is your best bet. Plus you get a taste of tiny house living. We will book there again on our next trip out."
