  • Cozy house in a great La Jolla location

"We (family with two young kids) spent 9 nights at this property in October, 2016 and we loved it. This 3-bedroom house had the perfect floor plan for us, but it will definitely work for multiple couples sharing the house as well. The house was very well kept, very clean and had a lot of charm. The owner must have travelled the world since he decorated the house with painting and drawings from all over the world. The house is only a few blocks from the beautiful Wind and Sea beach which is a hidden gem with the most beautiful sunsets. You are also super close to the Village and quickly in Pacific and Mission Beach. Our boys loved to wake up and play in the pretty backyard which is really a bonus in such a central location. The property manager Barbie is always available and very helpful. The house had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrella, etc. The only thing we missed was travel bed for babies but Barbie was very helpful and recommended places that rent out baby equipment, and that's what we did. Bottom line, we had a great experience and we would highly recommend the house to other young families or couples or whoever wants to visit San Diego. La Jolla is fantastic and I would certainly stay in La Jolla and in this house again."

  • Spectacular in Every Way for a November 5th Wedding Trip for a Family of 8

"Do the pillows look and smell fresh? Are the linens high quality? Is the home or hotel clean? I admit I am a bit germaphobic but this is how I judge a vacation rental. This spacious and lovely home passed the white glove test for me and I felt immediately at ease and comfortable. We admired the designer touches from the accessories, signed artwork, furniture, and updates in this well built home. We had 3 couples and 2 single relatives and the house never felt crowded. There were quiet spots for reading, couches to relax on, sunny places to sit on the deck, shady areas in the courtyard, and 3 TV's. The game room served as a bedroom for one young man who enjoyed the TV and games. When you plan on what to bring along for stay, don't worry about soaps, detergents, paper products, plastic wrap, spices, oil, because it's just like home and provided for you. Just bring groceries and beverages and you are all set. I wish my kitchen was stocked as well as this one; new dishes, great pots and pans, a variety of small appliances, and every utensil you can imagine. The large dining room table was our gathering spot in the morning as we planned out our daily excursions. The views were perfect and just what we needed, after coming from Minnesota and Arizona! THE OCEAN! The home, courtyard, and decks were all that we hoped for and more. We liked the keyless entry system and felt safe in unfamiliar surroundings. We fell in love with La Jolla and the California beaches that were nearby. My sons enjoyed golfing at Torrey Pines and the rest of us explored the small beach towns along the way up to Carlsbad. The wedding was held just 5 minutes away at the Martin Johnson house and grounds. The weather was perfect for an outdoor wedding in the late afternoon and evening. I would highly recommend early November for great weather and lack of crowds. Kimi and Mr. and Mrs. M. have a home to be very proud of. We agreed that this is the way to go for a family and much better than a hotel. Do the math! We even had a large 2 car garage and a driveway which is valuable in this tight, hilly area of La Jolla. I agree with all the 5 star reviews! Our family LOVED this home and it made our trip wonderful. We hope to return."

  • Lovely

"We were very pleased when we walked into the apartment. Views of the ocean, a well decorated apartment with a most comfortable bed. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen if one wanted to cook. Von's is very close for whatever we need. As is CVS. After 5 days, the apartment continues to be a perfect spot for us. We love sitting outside in the evening and in the morning. The first day we walked to the Concour d'Elegance at Squibb park to look at the wonderful collection of antique, very special cars and in the evening walked back along the water. We have enjoyed the fish restaurant across the street, The Thai Restaurant and wanted you to know we went to your suggestion, Bernini's last night. What a sweet restaurant. Comfortable with delicious food. Coffee places are near and have great California fresh, easy food for lunch. We spent a day and a half in Balboa park and saw not even half the museums. An amazing place even if one doesn't want to go to a museum or the zoo. So easy to get to we could even do it again. The Contemporary Art Museum is only about 5 blocks. And just a bit further are many wonderful shops. The best is to come home have a glass of wine or put our feet up with a cup of coffee and listen to the ocean. For us, a lovely place with a great location. Just wanted you to know how much we appreciated your place before the rush to leave set in."

  • Loved La Haus and La Jolla!!

"La Jolla Haus was really everything we'd hoped for and more. The location was fantastic, a short walk from the beach, the grocery store, shops and restaurants. La Jolla itself is definitely one of the most beautiful areas of San Diego. The house itself was super well stocked, honestly the best of any VRBO rental I've been too. They had beach equipment, laundry detergent and even the coals and start-up kit for the BBQ. My kids (10 and 13) also loved the collection of movies and games and my husband and I really enjoyed the lovely outdoor patio. The outdoor shower is also a really big plus. Diane and Bill were also great, providing helpful tips and answering questions. If I could think of one thing that could have improved our stay it would have been a couple of bikes because they were really expensive to rent locally. We recommend La Jolla Haus without any hesitation."
