Recent Village of La Jolla reviews

  • Excellent location with easy access to La Jolla Village and surrounding areas

"The Spanish Casita in La Jolla was a perfect location for our visit to San Diego. The Casita was walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and coastal area in La Jolla village, and we also walked to La Jolla Shores one afternoon along the coast. We were visiting family in the area, and they were able to stay over one night in the Casita. The accommodations were clean, with a small kitchen that was perfect for our 5-night stay, and a deck that has a gas heater for the cool nights. Prior reviews commented on the traffic noise in the area, but we did not have a problem with this noise. We had an excellent stay in the Casita and would consider this location again the next time we stay in La Jolla."

  • Fantastic!

"When staying in La Jolla, you have to experience 245 Prospect. What a great location and condo. The 1st floor condo looks just like the pictures and more. Every imaginable kitchen gadget and comfort is made available to you. You wake up in the morning and are greeted by the ocean view all the while relaxing with a cup of Joe in that Barcelona chair by the window. The best part is the .8 mile easy walk to La Jolla Shores where most of the restaurants and shopping are located. After you have had your fill of food and drink, the walk back to the Condo embraces you in the beautiful residential neighborhood leaving all the noise behind. Dean ushers you in by recommending a glass of wine and a walk around the corner to Coast Road watching the evening tidal pools. The ocean, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the restaurants-everything is a small walk away. Every convenience, including a great barbecue, is there for you to enjoy. Dean thought of everything!"

  • GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! Seriously, GORGEOUS!

"The pictures and description of this property cannot capture the beauty of this cottage--must be seen! Perfectly maintained and pristine in every detail, you will not want to leave. The owner, Bruce Craig, can set the standard for a great host, responsive even when away in Spain. If you like to cook, you will go crazy for the gourmet kitchen--equipped so that two chefs could work at the professional stove. The garden is just as pictured and the house is surrounded by flowering bushes and plants. When I was there, the jasmine bower was in full bloom and the scent was enchanting. One note of caution: La Jolla is going crazy with construction. It is supposed to be banned once the high summer season begins but I was told sometimes it continues. Just ask. Have a fabulous stay and say hello to Bruce!"
