  • La Jolla lover

"Our family loves La Jolla, especially this location which is so close to many of our favorite sites to visit. It's a short walk to a beautiful beach and you can even walk to restaurants. The Cottage is very bright and even has a backyard with furniture. It's a great neighborhood."

  • Great Little Cottage Near It All

"After looking at many hotels and condos in the area, we decided on this great little cottage. Stayed 4 nights with my wife and toddler. First time in La Jolla and we had a blast! Cute little place with lots of charm and history. Plenty of room inside the main living areas. Fun vintage furniture. We started and ended each day at the beach which is a very easy 5 minute walk through a great neighborhood. Also short walk to the many shops and restaurants around. It was great to have a full kitchen (fully stocked) and stackable washer/dryer. We used the rear patio BBQ several times as well. The property sits on the corner of La Jolla Blvd which is a pretty busy street but we knew that going in and the traffic/noise didn't bother us. The inside of the house is in very good shape. You can tell it has been remodeled not too long ago. The outside looks a little shabby (peeling paint, plywood on the rear deck, etc) but it adds to the charm! Nothing was broken or in disrepair. One pearl of wisdom: Watch your head in the lofted sleeping area! I would highly recommend to a small family or couple."

  • Beautifully appointed home, awesome location! Great for multi-generational families.

"We recently stayed for five days at this awesome house. It is better live than in the photos! The house is equipped very well, extremely comfortable, with high end furnishings and linens. The bathrooms were meticulously clean and fresh. We had teenagers as well as grandparents with mobility issues so the 3 full-ensuite bedrooms were great. Two on the main floor were excellent and master up a dream. One daughter slept in the "loft" daybed and loved it. The deck ourfront is great to watch people run, dog walk and bike by. The large dining room window also affords a great view of the goings-on outside which was fun. The back patio was very private and comfortable to hand out with coffee in the morning, a bit of sunshine in the day and cocktails by the fire pit and twinkling outdoor lights at night. Easy walk to tennis, beach down the street, seal and surfer watch down the way. San Diego zoo a 20 minute drive away. Neighbourhood great to walk around and admire the gardens and varying architecture. Following the bike route is a great walk. Restaurants walking distance. Karen was lovely, attentive and easy to reach if needed. We were thoroughly impressed and will definitely return with some tennis couples. Our only negative this was the FOG, no fault of the house! But we were cozy and comfy hanging in the house watch tennis :)"
