  • Anacapa Vacation

"We've stayed at this rental several times with our extended family. Can't beat the beach location, particularly since it's on the bay side. Lots of room, and convenient to all of the usual San Diego attractions. And downtown is a short 15-20 minute drive, without getting on the interstate. Becky and Dana from Dana Horne are easy to work with."

  • Great place!

"Large apartment, comfortable, great location, great roof top, cool bikes and body boards to use. What should be clarified is the usage of the shared roof including barbecue. There are 4 parties sharing the roof , at least one lives there permanently and declares the barbecue to be their property not a shared one. Will come again for sure!"

  • Lovely

"We were very pleased when we walked into the apartment. Views of the ocean, a well decorated apartment with a most comfortable bed. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen if one wanted to cook. Von's is very close for whatever we need. As is CVS. After 5 days, the apartment continues to be a perfect spot for us. We love sitting outside in the evening and in the morning. The first day we walked to the Concour d'Elegance at Squibb park to look at the wonderful collection of antique, very special cars and in the evening walked back along the water. We have enjoyed the fish restaurant across the street, The Thai Restaurant and wanted you to know we went to your suggestion, Bernini's last night. What a sweet restaurant. Comfortable with delicious food. Coffee places are near and have great California fresh, easy food for lunch. We spent a day and a half in Balboa park and saw not even half the museums. An amazing place even if one doesn't want to go to a museum or the zoo. So easy to get to we could even do it again. The Contemporary Art Museum is only about 5 blocks. And just a bit further are many wonderful shops. The best is to come home have a glass of wine or put our feet up with a cup of coffee and listen to the ocean. For us, a lovely place with a great location. Just wanted you to know how much we appreciated your place before the rush to leave set in."

  • Our second stay at this Beach Cottage

"Don't let the words Beach Cottage discourage you! This rental, though only 2 main bedrooms, has plenty of room. There is a third day bed in the sunroom upstairs. Ceilings are high and rooms are big. Three full bathrooms. Two with showers and one does have a tub for the little ones. Also a crib and youth seat. Joyce (the owner) & Marketta (her assistant) will answer any questions. Since our flight got in very late, I was able to ask for some groceries to be waiting. If you need anything (like extra toilet paper) they will provide. The beach is just across the road. Don't forget to visit Carolines (a café serving breakfast & lunch) very good but can get busy on occasion. Town is just a few blocks away. Several restaurants there. But to be honest, we spent two weeks here and cooked all our meals except one. Kellogg Beach with playground is a short distance walk. Property is quiet. I definitely recommend!"
