  • Wonderful, quiet get away.

"Lynda's "Blue Spruce Caboose" was such a wonderful few days for us. If you are looking for a quiet, private getaway and an excellent "pampered breakfast" I would highly recommend this property. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area and close by hiking trails to burn up the calories. Very well maintained property and Lynda was wonderful!"

  • Owners are wonderful

"We had to cancel our trip at the last minute due to a serious medical emergency. Thankfully we had purchased the trip insurance (only $39 and reimburses full cost of rental) through VRBO. When I called George, he was absolutely wonderful in discussing the situation, explaining how the deposit would be automatically refunded, and showing sincere compassion for our situation. Above and beyond "excellent customer service" - it felt like we were calling old friends. We will definitely book with them in the future and look forward to meeting these genuine and caring people in person."

  • Perfect place to stay on vacation

"Our family (2 adults and 3 children) stayed here during our recent vacation to Colorado Springs. It couldn't have been better! The house had everything we could possibly need, was well kept and was in a great location. It was just far away enough from everything to feel like we were staying in the mountains, yet close enough that we could get to everything we wanted to do fairly quickly. We loved that we could go sightseeing in the morning, come back for a break around lunch and then go back out in the afternoon! Most of our activities (Garden of the Gods, Cog Railway, Helen Hunt Falls, Manitou Springs downtown, Olympic Training Center, fishing) were on the west side of Colorado Springs or in Manitou Springs. I'm so glad we didn't have to drive through Colorado Springs every time we wanted to see something. The owners are so nice! They answered all our questions, even those not related to the house! All of us loved the extra space to move around. After a long day of sightseeing, we could each have some space to ourselves! Great home and we would definitely stay here if we ever vacation in this area again!"

  • Very nice, quiet cottage.

"The Cascade ranger station was a very nice home away from home for the weekend. It is very well equipped, quiet, and cozy. We had a great time up in the hills, and it was very conveniently located right next to a lot of spots we wanted to see. The fact that it is located right next to the wines of Colorado and a winery made it even nicer. Thanks for the great trip."
