  • A Nice Home Away from Home!

"We travel so many different places as a family of a competitive figure skater. We so enjoyed not having to stay in a hotel during our time here at a training camp. It was nice to be able to prepare our own meals, have room to just stretch out and relax. We enjoyed also being close to wonderful attractions: Garden of the Gods, the Cog railroad, the US Olympic Training Center. The view of the mountains is simply breathtaking! George was a pleasure to meet and chat with! Thank you for giving a 2022 Olympic hopeful a place to relax after long days of training!"

  • Perfect place to stay on vacation

"Our family (2 adults and 3 children) stayed here during our recent vacation to Colorado Springs. It couldn't have been better! The house had everything we could possibly need, was well kept and was in a great location. It was just far away enough from everything to feel like we were staying in the mountains, yet close enough that we could get to everything we wanted to do fairly quickly. We loved that we could go sightseeing in the morning, come back for a break around lunch and then go back out in the afternoon! Most of our activities (Garden of the Gods, Cog Railway, Helen Hunt Falls, Manitou Springs downtown, Olympic Training Center, fishing) were on the west side of Colorado Springs or in Manitou Springs. I'm so glad we didn't have to drive through Colorado Springs every time we wanted to see something. The owners are so nice! They answered all our questions, even those not related to the house! All of us loved the extra space to move around. After a long day of sightseeing, we could each have some space to ourselves! Great home and we would definitely stay here if we ever vacation in this area again!"

  • Spacious and great location!

"We enjoyed our 3 night relaxing stay at the charming ranger station! The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed and the laundry facilities were appreciated as well! I loved the front porch and could have stayed there and relaxed all day if there weren't so many fun things to see and do in the area. This spot was well located for all the things we wanted to do. Our kids loved the bunk beds and there were even a few small trucks and toys that my 3 year old was thrilled to find to play with. Thank you for a comfortable stay."

  • Sweet, private,quiet and comfy,a perfect location

"As soon as you walk in the caboose you just know that it is going to be a great place to hang the hat for a few days. The caboose was clean and came well equipped with all the comforts of home. Everything you need in the kitchen (coffee), and bathroom was provided. The claw foot bathtub was a hit for my wife. The skylights were great and we enjoyed the ambiance from the lighting rain. We loved the hot tub and deck seating while we enjoyed the outdoors. Although the caboose is nestled between roads and houses you still can enjoy the creek in the background. Some noise from the highway and local road but minimal when you are in the caboose. Lynda prepared a outstanding breakfast in the morning, so don't miss out on this. Lynda the owner of the property was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. We loved our stay at the Red Caboose and would recommend it on your next vacation."
