  • A perfect find!

"This was our second month-long rental in Cedar Key and although our first one was also lovely, if we were to return to Cedar Key, it would be to this one. The house is as described. It is very well appointed and all of the furnishings are comfortable including chairs, rockers, porch furniture, and bed. As a previous reviewer noted, the kitchen is a cook’s dream. There is an amazing assortment of knives and they are sharp (first time ever in a rental). There are good, clean cutting boards, measuring cups and spoons, clean can opener (also rare), and an excellent set of pots and pans. Everything one might need is available in this kitchen. The scene from the screened-in porch overlooking the tidal flats is ever-changing and always interesting even when there is fog. The porch is ideal for viewing sunrises and birdlife. It is like sitting in your own comfortable personal bird blind. Bring your binoculars. We spent most of our time on the porch, including having our meals, as long as it was warm enough. When it wasn't warm, the heating system in the house was efficient. The neighbourhood is very quiet and this rental is on a corner waterfront lot. Perfect. It's a good area to cycle around if you bring your own bikes. It's a pleasant ride to Cemetery Point, to the airport; an easy ride into the town area. Cedar Key is impressively cyclist. The owner responded promptly to every question and was most accommodating. We definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful place to stay."

  • So Relaxing.......

"What a delicious surprise. Its a hidden gem right in the middle of town. We passed by it twice before we found it. The foliage and the natural yard and the huge tree (adorned with fairy lights) are awesome. Little turtles often came to visit. The fenced in yard is great for it appears that it also keep the many local feral cats out!!!Privacy abounds, yet we loved being able to walk a few blocks to eat and have a brew or 2!! The dogs loved walking along the water ways....and through the enchanting neighborhoods. The inside of the cottage is rustic with updated amenities and many delightful touches. ( Loved the hanging shutter divider in the family room.)The cottage reminded me of my aunts much loved cottage on the river up North. The porch swing is perfect for reading a book and sipping a G+T. We plan to return when the weather turns cooler in the was in the high nineties while we were there, but that was the temp at home as well. Thoroughly loved our vacation!!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cottage."

  • Wonderful Views & Location

"Location - Views - Location This home offers wonderful views, a great location, and very comfortable floor plan. Just a few blocks walking distance to town & restaurants. Take in the charm of Old Florida that Cedar Key offers. Water views straight out to the original Cedar Key settlement (Atsena Island) as well as long projection out to Seahorse Key. The home offers an ideal private floor plan with three separate bedroom en suites. Kitchen is fine for cooking but be sure to bring your food perishables and amenities since there aren't the usual super markets close by. However there are a few markets to purchase fresh fish, oysters, clams and scallops. Yum-Yum! The area is great for Kayaking, fishing and cycling around the peaceful island. If you want to see Old Florida as it was, and just chillax, then visit Cedar Key. Ease of booking. Enjoy!"

  • One of our best vacation stays!

"First time we've been to Cedar Key and it didn't take long to fall in love with it. Such a quaint little town and exactly as they say... it's like you're stepping back in time to old Florida. The location of the place is quite convenient and offers some wonderful views. Close to everything and pretty comfortable. Kayaking was the highlight of our trip, being surrounded by dolphins... it was absolutely amazing. We'll definitely be back!"
