Best home I have stayed in on St George Island

5 of 5
Wonderful private home that is well stocked in the kitchen as well as towels, beach towels, chairs. The pool is crystal clean and securely fenced which was nice with my grandchildren. The walk to the beach is only a very short distance with only about 4 steps on the boardwalk. A very easy walk. Sammy is extremely responsive to any phone calls or questions. Couldnt ask for a better home to stay in. My family absolutely loved it

Super Awesome Vacation Stay

5 of 5
My brother has 5 kids and we have 4. Between our 2 families we have 13 of us all together. We stayed at the Sleepless in Seattle House during the first week of April 2016. I think it was one of our favorite vacations we have had as a family in many years. The House was very spacious and Clean. There are many decks to sit on and just chill out while having morning coffee or just hiding out from the Florida sun if you got too much of it that day. The pool was a blast and also very clean. We spent many afternoons just enjoying the pool area. The Beach on the Gulf Coast is very close by and easy to access, we took many daily walks as a family on the Ocean and had a wonderful time. We even swam in the gulf some, it was fairly warm for April. All in all it was a great place to stay. The house is located in a gated community in an area on St. George Island called the Plantation. It was a super quiet area with a little something to do for everybody, or nothing to do at all if you chose. There are bikes to ride around the island on. There is a club house with a bigger pool nearby. Although our 2 families with 9 kids were content to either hang at the pool at the house or go out to the Gulf and play at the beach. One day we did drive into Apalachicola, a town near by- we had an incredible dinner there and my brother and I found a brew pub. Some of our kids are old enough to drive for us, so that worked out well. This is a great place to stay for families, there is tennis, swimming, bikes, beach, walking paths & of course the house is clean and has a nice kitchen in it. The 9 kids and parents spent many nights playing cards or games at the large table in the dining room area. Lots of laughs were had by all. The Wi-Fi and Mobile phone coverage is not always perfect, but that may be one of the best things about it. You truly can "unplug" while you are here. Although there is Wi-Fi and there is mobile service in certain areas of the house. So I was able to get some minimal work done while there (I try not to work on vacation, but had a couple of projects going on), I would highly recommend this house and my wife said she would love to come back again some time. Thank you for the wonderful home. This truly was Old Florida with not a lot of commercialization, but we were never board. We truly had a great and relaxing time.
