  • PERFECT Relaxing Getaway!

"We were a family of 4 adults and 3 children staying for 5 days at this beautiful Homeplace. Driving onto River Canyon Road and up to the Homeplace was almost surreal for us. The views and peacefulness of this area is just astounding. The Homeplace was PERFECT. The character of this house really makes you feel you are home. Beautiful old wooden floors, vintage furniture and spectacular views over the River. We sat outside and dawn and dusk watching the fog rolling over the mountains and the bats flying around looking for food, crickets chirping and sweet old "Tag", the dog, tagging along with us everywhere we went. We fell in love with him! We fished on the river most afternoons and caught some nice sized catfish and perch. We bbq'd most nights as well sitting on the back porch watching the sun go down... The drive into lookout mountain was easy and only took about 20 minutes. There is a Walmart and other shops plus a great little BBQ place just off River Canyon Road(10 min max). The Homeplace is far enough from the city to give you that peaceful countryside feel and close enough to drive into if you want more cosmopolitan activities. Chattanooga city is very pretty and charming. Overall I can honestly say this has been a wonderfully memorable vacation because of picking The Homeplace to stay and everything it offered to make you comfortable while there. I almost cried when it was time to leave, we definitely plan to come back! Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful home with us, you have a diamond! The Corley's"

  • Great views and privacy

"Great views and excellent location for somebody that wants a getaway, but still be 20 minutes away from the city. Property was very well maintained. A small community of about five cabins but always felt very private--as if it was only my cabin and my mountain."

  • Spacious rental

"The cabin at first glance would seem to be rustic, but once inside it had the feel of a much newer home. It has a master bedroom room with large master bathroom on first level off from the living room. Two their bedrooms upstairs that were clean and had more than enough space to accommodate the 4 adults and 3 children that were staying here. The cabin was fully stocked with the modern convince and much ifwhat I had brought with me I did not need because it was provided. The owner when called fully answered any and all questions I had in a friendly and courteous manner. It was only 20 minutes from Chattanooga and there is a grocery story, dollar general and and farm that sells Amish jams. We will definitely be back."
