  • Nice place that was nicely redone

"Overall, it was very nice unit. The unit was clean and has been redone nicely. There were way more utensils, cups, pots, pans and kitchen items then we imagined. Plis, theres a lot of leftover spices and oils for grilling There was good WiFi, cable, beach towels, boogie boards, beach noodles and toys to build sand castles. Additionally, there were plenty of blankets and extra pillows. We walked right out to the beach. To the water, it was 100 feet! The water is calm too, great for paddle boarding or swimming. The building and grounds were well kept. We used the gas grills, pool and checked out the stores. Very good area and the location was very central. So close to Kihei, restaurants and bars. The only reason we aren't giving it 5 stars is because because the bed was too soft. If you like a firm mattress, you won't sleep well. But, the room is very dark, and quiet. Most of the people were in theirs mid 50's, except a few, so there wasn't any loud noise and everyone was very friendly. The other minor negative was that the door code stopped working at 10:45am, not at 11am, like the instructions said. This also shut off the AC while we were finishing up cleaning and removing our items. Overall, if we come back, we will stay in that same building, just a different room because of the bed. If the mattress was firmer, we would continue to stay here. Thanks Joan for the great stay! Aloha."

  • Perfect vacation

"The condo was great with all the comforts of home and fantastic location. Walk out to pool or ocean and enjoy. So nice feeling so comfortable and the washer and drier were a bonus. Boogie board, beach towels, games, books, all you need to bring are casual clothes and relax. Would definitely revisit."

  • Very lucky to find this Gem!

"Had booked a condo in south Kihei where We usually stay and two weeks after booking We were notified by the owner that the condo was in escrow. Decided to cancel and look elsewhere and somehow ended up looking in North Kihei and found Sugar Beach Resort. Wow, a beachfront condo for not much more! Loved this condo and location! Sugar Beach area is so quiet compared to South Kihei and the centralized location made Maui travel much easier. I definitely recommend this unit and Alii resorts are the best for Your stay! My only complaint is the stove which I think may have come over with the first Missionaries. The burners had a mind of their own so I would have to put My hand over them to find which one was working on a particular day. Other than that everything was perfect!! So nice cooking meals at the kitchen counter while looking out at the beautiful view!! Staying in and eating Our meals on the Lanai was more fun than going out! Oh yeah if You do go out don't miss the Willie K show at the King Kamehameha golf course. Great food, Great music!!! Also plan a morning paddle with the Maui outrigger canoe club down the beach, and be sure and rent SUP boards from the activity center right there at the resort. Can see beautiful coral and fish just a short paddle to the right of the Resort. Will definitely be back to Sugar beach!!"
