Recent Kihei Surfside reviews

  • Beautiful, clean, spacious

"This is a great place to stay. One could almost never leave because of the awesome view and peacefulness of the room. The kitchen is well stocked. When one does leave the room - there is no need to get in the car because there are miles of beach to walk with places to eat within walking distance."

  • Great location to stay

"Wonderful time at the Kehei Surfside Resort condo, we plan on returning! The condo is very clean and the beautiful grounds were a friendly, social place with the other tourists. The beach is steps away and even less inhabited after a short walk to the south. The condo had most everything we needed and a short walk filled the rest. Looking forward to next time."

  • Don't stay anywhere else in Kihei!

"Wow this apartment is fantastic! If, like me, you are concerned about the lack of recent reviews, don't be! This apartment is exactly as described and the view really is that breathtaking! I don't think the pictures do the apartment justice and when you step into the apartment and see top floor uninterrupted views over the beautiful lawns and ocean you won't be disappointed you booked here. The condo itself is a lovely place in an excellent location with great amenities. The hotel next door have a little shop where you can get any essentials and a great little beachside bar/restaurant who do a really good happy hour (more like happy day really as it runs most of the day). The beach is just a few steps away and oh what a beautiful beach it is. Everything you could hope for from your dream Hawaii vacation! The area immediately surrounding the condo is great for snorkelling and there are loads of lovely of sea turtles just steps away! In fact this little cove is where the tour companies bring boats of people to see turtles and here you can have them for free everyday right on your doorstep! The apartments all face west so the sunsets are stunning! We were undecided about whether to stay in Kihei/Wailea or Ka'annapali and, after visiting the other areas, I'm so glad we chose here! The owners themselves have good communication and provide you with all the info you need to know prior to your arrival. The only small point I think that could make this place perfect was if the apartment included beach chairs/snorkel gear for you to use however you can hire all these things relatively cheaply locally so it's not really an issue. All in all I cannot recommend this place highly enough and I wouldn't think about staying anywhere else if I was to return to the beautiful Hawaiian islands!"

  • Excellent location for family

"We stayed for nearly two weeks with our young children. The location is fantastic for a family: the grass field is great for kids to run around on; the pool is right there; the beach was a short 2min walk away and was our favourite beach on the island because it was so big and the waves gentle; supermarket and restaurants are a short drive away; the Marriott luau which is a 10min drive away is entertaining and kids under 5 are free; and the other tenants in the building are friendly and sunset includes most of them having a drink on the lawn whilst a few blow conch shells as the sun sets. Kids shared the master bedroom and we used the pull out couch, so the adults could enjoy a drink on the balcony whilst the kids slept. It was definitely a little cramped for 4 people, but doable. The unit is clean and well stocked. Some things are a little dated like the refridgerator which is quite loud, but we were so tired each night we slept through its rumblings. We came during Canadian spring break so the cost of the unit was high, but competitive. After arriving, we found many properties around this one were not full, so there were some great discounts for those traveling last minute."
