  • Perfect condo with ocean view

"We spent 5 nights in this condo in September and had a fantastic time. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and the view from the balcony on the ocean is spectacular. The owners are very friendly and the communication is just great. We would definetly stay in this condo again if we'd come back in the future."

  • The condo unit is perfect in every way and truly at a fantastic location on Maui.

"We have always enjoyed our stay at the Kihei Surfside and this trip was no exception. This particular unit is absolutely lovely in every way. The amenities are perfect inside and out. Our family of 4 was very comfortable and enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen, enjoyed meals on the lanai, and loved using the on property putting green and bocce. The turtles were aplenty this trip so the viewing was incredible right out in front. We look forward to our next trip and look forward to renting from this host again! Thanks for a great stay in paradise!"

  • Kihei Surfside

"My wife and I enjoyed our honeymoon stay at Kihei Surfside so much, we returned 7 years later for another vacation. I'm wondering why we waited so long! I'll start with the only downside: there's no A/C in this building. On days when the winds are blowing in off the water, this isn't that much of a problem. But when the air is still and hot, opening windows/doors at opposite ends of the unit doesn't do much good, and one begins to baste in his/her own juices. Other than that, there is no downside. In our experience, Kihei tends to cool down at night enough to get a good night's rest, and if you're vacationing on Maui, what're you doing in your room during the day anyway - go sightsee, go lay on the beach, go diving, etc... ! Not to say that the rooms are anything but comfy and NICE. The ocean view smacks you in the face as soon as you open the door - which as far as I'm concerned is the #1 draw of the whole building. Units farther to the left (as you face the front of the building) are of course more desirable due to their proximity to the water. IF you can, go for lower numbered units on each floor (101, 201, 301 instead of 115, 215, 315) since you'll be closer to the water and the ocean will fill more of your view. That having been said, give me the ground floor unit farthest from the water, and I'd not complain, and you're an ungrateful slob that can't be satisfied if you'd complain. Both the units we've stayed in have been tastefully appointed - very stylish and inviting. Now that I've said all this, please disregard it: if Kihei Surfside gets too popular, there won't be any availability when we next want to stay there."

  • Kihei Surfside 506

"The location is next to the best beach. The appliances were excellent and kitchen was well equipped. I knew there was no air conditioning when I rented the unit but with extremely hot temperatures it was hot. The bed in the master bedroom was soft with a well worn sunken spot and uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping on the pull out sofa bed The upholstered chairs were also well worn and uncomfortable ( I prefer firm hotel mattresses. ) Everyone I dealt with was pleasant and professional This is the best location to walk to snorkeling or yoga"
