  • Great View!

"This place has the perfect view and is perfect for 2 people. I have to say that it is not air conditioned, and it probably is listed as not having air, we just skipped over that I'm sure! We were fine with the cross ventilation and ceiling fans in both rooms though so it worked out ok! I will also add that if you blow dry you hair, you should plan on bringing your own hairdryer unless you want to use the one that is attached to the wall in the bathroom that does not cool down after a shower! But for the price and the view and the convenience to everything on that side of the island it was perfect!"

  • Great Condo, Fabulous Location

"We spent 8 nights at the condo and loved it!. The condo is well equipped. We were happy that Makena beach was not far away until we went to the beach next door, that is now our favorite beach. Very convenient having that great beach right next door. Great sand, great waves and little coral in the water. I wish I had tried the boogie board before the last day of our stay, it was so much fun. Beautiful view from the condo, we never closed the blinds. Nice easy walk to Kihei. So many whales to see this time of the year. We tried the 5 palms restaurant next door. The view is stunning, great for a sunset dinner, I suggest a reservation. We were there for New Years Eve lots of fireworks around the area, we took a short drive for some gelato and saw many spectacular displays. We will recommend this condo to friends and would defiantly stay again!"

  • 609 Kihei Surfside - Our home away from home in paradise

"609 Kihei Surfside is a lovely condo with a beautiful view of palm trees waving in the wind at the ocean behind them. The view from 609 (top floor) is really amazing! Every morning we thought how blessed we were, as we sat watching the whales and turtles while having our breakfast on the lanai. The condo is fairly small compared to other condos we have stayed in in Hawaii, but the owner's placement of mirrors and choice of furnishings make it a very comfortable home away from home for two people. The accessibility to beaches (super close), lovely walking trail, huge lawn out front (with a nice pool and lots of lounge chairs), and ocean and sunset views that never cease to amaze are just a few of the perks you will enjoy while staying in 609. While we were there we had a few nights when conditioning would have been nice; however, there are a couple of good ceiling fans which help. The bedroom is kind of small, but the bed is comfy which is the main thing. Did I mention the floor to ceiling windows; wow, they are really something! Diana was great to work with - very responsive to our many e-mails and questions. I would not hesitate to recommend 609 to anyone looking for a romantic stay with a feeling of home on the island of Maui."

  • Excellent location for family

"We stayed for nearly two weeks with our young children. The location is fantastic for a family: the grass field is great for kids to run around on; the pool is right there; the beach was a short 2min walk away and was our favourite beach on the island because it was so big and the waves gentle; supermarket and restaurants are a short drive away; the Marriott luau which is a 10min drive away is entertaining and kids under 5 are free; and the other tenants in the building are friendly and sunset includes most of them having a drink on the lawn whilst a few blow conch shells as the sun sets. Kids shared the master bedroom and we used the pull out couch, so the adults could enjoy a drink on the balcony whilst the kids slept. It was definitely a little cramped for 4 people, but doable. The unit is clean and well stocked. Some things are a little dated like the refridgerator which is quite loud, but we were so tired each night we slept through its rumblings. We came during Canadian spring break so the cost of the unit was high, but competitive. After arriving, we found many properties around this one were not full, so there were some great discounts for those traveling last minute."
