  • An outstanding beachfront property!

"Our party of 7 was very comfortable in this house. The house was fresh and clean with all the amenities we needed; both the house and the property were well-maintained. Laycie and Mike were delightful hosts and made our stay that much more pleasant. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed sailing with Mike, who magically produced a whale sighting for them. They were in the water in front of the house every day - snorkeling, exploring the reef, sighting sea turtles, etc. Lots of snorkeling gear and boogie boards provided. The tree house and hot tub were also popular. The location is close enough to Honolulu and Kailua for convenient access but far enough away to feel almost rural. Very peaceful at night. Only a few minutes to the outstanding nature preserve at Hanauma Bay, a short drive to the great beach at Kailua Bay, or 30 minutes to Waikiki. A lovely place, in every sense. We would certainly recommend this property to family and friends."

  • Great space in a very nice neighborhood

"Maggie is wonderful, she even picked us up from the nearby park because we arrived by water from Molokai and had no car. The room was very clean, spacious and well appointed. The household amenities are great, including all typical beach toys, chairs etc. Two very friendly older dogs were nice company when they weren't napping. We will definitely keep this place for our next stay on oahu."

  • Absolutely Perfect!!

"As my son said, "This was the best vacation ever", and this is in great part to the perfect home of Mike and Melanie's! The location in Hawaii Kai on Portlock was so refreshing being out of Waikiki. We had 11 family members ranging from 18 to 82 staying together and the layout was perfect. My brother loves to cook and was so impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and utensils, not to mention glasses and plates. There were ample towels for indoors and out, beach chairs, ice chest, snorkeling gear and boogie boards. I forgot how muggy it can be so it was nice to be able to sit outside for a bit, but then go into the air conditioned house to cool off. Our favorite time was sitting by the pool first thing in the morning, having coffee and smelling the plumerias. I can't recommend staying here enough! Melanie and Mike are fantastic owners Mahalo Nui Loa"

  • Villa Koko was a great place to stay.

"The location is perfect. Close to Waikiki if you want the action, but close to the Windward side of the island which is a more laid back atmosphere. The place is clean, well laid out, and having Tweed come visit every morning was great. Marshall is more like a generous host than a landlord and made us welcome."
