  • Stayed in paradise

"This property was by far exceeded my expectation. I did an extensive research prior to selecting the vacation rental to have great time with my family. Hale Ohana had it all. The view from the entire house was phenomenal and you get the constant breeze from the ocean which is very pleasant. We only used AC in master bed for few times because it was not needed with great working fans and Windows. House was well stocked that with 10 people staying for 10 days, we didn't need to buy any toilet papers. Kitchen is better stocked than mine. They even had a basket full of toys for kids which my kids loved. Pool was great and had many pool/beach toys. We had more than plenty of bath and beach towels, cooking essentials such as olive oil, even ramen, etc. we were greeted with a nice fruit plate with coffee, chocolate covered macadamia nuts and potato chips. Costco was so close and you have just about anything you need within 5 min drive. Guest binder was super helpful and we were able to try different restaurants based on reviews in that binder. Hale Ohana is centrally located and it was very convenient for us for any sightseeing, shopping, restaurants, you name it. We will be back to Hale Ohana in the future! At last, but not least, you have one of the best property manager who will be so easy to contact and help you with anything you need. From when we reserve this location to even after we left, Eva helped us through everything. She is professional, has attention to detail, and kind. I did not want to leave Hale Ohana. Similar to previous reviews, because they didn't have guest arriving right next day, Eva let us stayed until 2pm for a late checkout because our flight was not until 4pm. It was truly a home away from home."

  • Relaxing piece of paradise!

"My husband and I, along with our 3 children came to Hawaii for a business trip. This house was in the perfect location for both my husbands' needs as a business traveler, and my needs as a parent on vacation! For business: It was only 15 minutes to downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, and traffic was not an issue. Costco is less than 2 miles away, as is other shopping and dining areas including Roy's for a nice business lunch or fancy sunset cocktails with clients. For vacation: The kids and I could easily drive to Hanauma Bay just 5 minutes away, or Waikiki and Kailua which were both around 15-20 minutes by car and highly recommended. On the days where I wanted to relax, we enjoyed all the same amenities as a hotel - but with no one else around! I appreciated being able to lounge by the heated pool while the kids went kayaking or stand-up paddling in the nearby Marina. In the evenings, we ate dinner outside on the marina or enjoyed a pau-hana drink in the sauna. Then we had our morning coffee by the lava waterfall and watched the sunrise."

  • Better than advertised!

"This place was clean, new, and perfectly located to explore the many wonderful beaches, hikes, etc on the south and southeast parts of the island. It was close to Pearl Harbor/Honolulu yet far enough to not have to put up with all the tourist overcrowding. I will stay again! Owner was very nice!"

  • Ideal Hawaiian Vacay!

"Amazing view - during the winter you can see whales everyday right from the living room and we also saw groups of turtles! Perfect spot to unwind and relax. The house was very nice, with plenty of space and very clean. There were plenty of bedrooms for my whole group. There are several nice nearby beaches such as Sandy Beach or Makapu'u nearby which aren't over-run with tourists like Waikiki is. Also, we were able to go on several nice hikes with great views close by such as Makapu'u lighthouse or Koko head (but better be in shape for that one - it is straight up the mountain!). We were very happy with our stay and would stay there again!"
