  • What a wonderful house

"It's a big house with everything we need for hosting 8 of us for one week. Dana and Liane were great. They got back to us right away and very easy to work with. The house is well stocked with everything we need for the whole week. The place is so big and we all have enough space to be comfortable. The Costco and Safeway are in 10 minutes drive. We had a great time!"

  • Truly an Amazing Place with Wonderful Owners

"This review is long overdue!!! My wife and I recently got married in Hawaii (we live in NYC but she is from Hawaii) and we wanted to rent an authentic Hawaiian home that we could share with my family for the week prior to the wedding. We couldn't have been happier with our selection. Not only is the location perfect, but the home is exactly what we expected...a truly Hawaiian experience! I also cannot say enough about the owners, Edgar and Lynn. They are overwhelmingly genuine, happy and wonderful hosts (as are their pups who wander through the home randomly to greet guests or take naps on the comfy carpet). They make you feel like you are part of their family and there is nothing fake about their sincerity. They even got us a wedding gift which was truly unexpected but very much appreciated. I can't recommend Hawaii Kai enough and I am so thankful for my short opportunity to spend time in this amazing place with these amazing people."

  • Relaxing piece of paradise!

"My husband and I, along with our 3 children came to Hawaii for a business trip. This house was in the perfect location for both my husbands' needs as a business traveler, and my needs as a parent on vacation! For business: It was only 15 minutes to downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, and traffic was not an issue. Costco is less than 2 miles away, as is other shopping and dining areas including Roy's for a nice business lunch or fancy sunset cocktails with clients. For vacation: The kids and I could easily drive to Hanauma Bay just 5 minutes away, or Waikiki and Kailua which were both around 15-20 minutes by car and highly recommended. On the days where I wanted to relax, we enjoyed all the same amenities as a hotel - but with no one else around! I appreciated being able to lounge by the heated pool while the kids went kayaking or stand-up paddling in the nearby Marina. In the evenings, we ate dinner outside on the marina or enjoyed a pau-hana drink in the sauna. Then we had our morning coffee by the lava waterfall and watched the sunrise."
