  • Outstanding waterfront farm, coastal Maine, farms, ocean, and culture

"A charming and restful place with beaches, stars and fresh air. This historic Sea Captain's home is cozy and comfortable. Walks to the beach, a breezy porch, being there makes for a true vacation. We loved this farm."

  • Beautiful location and comfortable and well-maintained property

"Spent an amazing week in the Chalet at the beginning of September - it was the perfect place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is a beautiful view of the water from the house and deck, and it is a quick walk down the path to a private beach. If you are in to kayaking would definitely recommend renting from the Activity Shop in Blue Hill - the morning paddles were one of my favorite parts of the vacation and on the last day we say a bald eagle diving for fish, harbor porpoises and a seal! The Chalet itself is very clean, comfortable and well appointed - we cooked numerous meals in the kitchen and never felt like we were missing something we needed."

  • The property was perfect!

"We had the best time staying at this "camp". It was perfectly set Back off the highway so you felt like you were deep in secluded woods. We walked the beach for hours every day and did not see people and found tons and sea glass and other treasures. Everything you need is provided at the camp! We cooked a lot of our meals and did not have to struggle to find any Utensil or pan necessary. We were not far from all the tourist attractions like Acadia national park and historic bar harbor. We were able to spend the day away from the camp and then have a short drive back to seclusion. There is no shortage of things to do though if you decide just to stay at the camp. We kayaked and spent lots of time just sitting on the deck enjoying the view. During low tide we found so many fun things that washed ashore and tons of creatures out and about. We saw a sea lion, deer, porcupine, and lots of birds. It was a perfect place for us! Bob and Stephanie have an amazing place and you can tell they love to share it with others and it shows in all the extras they provide like the Maine jams and syrup they left for us to sample."

  • Peaceful and private

"Driftwood Cottage was a great place for a getaway for a couple with a dog. The cottage is simple and beautifully done, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is one other cottage on the long driveway but nobody was there during our stay, plus it is a very separate from Driftwood and there are trees and a small field between. The location is ideal for those seeking a quiet setting close to trails and small coastal towns and kayaking. We went to Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula for a wonderful day trip. Nearby Holbrook Sanctuary was a huge highlight of the trip because we had an unbelievable, up-close sighting of a mature bald eagle sitting on a low branch. Beautiful sunsets are a huge asset to this west-facing cottage looking out over the cove. We enjoyed our time at Driftwood very much!!"
