  • Relaxing and Magical

"This vacation was just what I needed! It is quiet and restful with soothing views all around. The flowers were beautiful and in full bloom. I did yoga on the porch. If you sit on the deck you have full sun if you want or shade under the awning and the most amazing ocean breeze. Visit the chickens, pigs, and gardens. We visited the local village outdoor market on the weekend, just a mile away. You could stay right in Brooksville for your entire trip, or drive 20 minutes to Blue Hill where they have a full sized grocery store with a gluten free section, or drive about an hour to Acadia National Park and enjoy more ocean views and great trails. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, they know the area well and have put together a list of things you can do in the area."

  • Peaceful and private

"Driftwood Cottage was a great place for a getaway for a couple with a dog. The cottage is simple and beautifully done, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is one other cottage on the long driveway but nobody was there during our stay, plus it is a very separate from Driftwood and there are trees and a small field between. The location is ideal for those seeking a quiet setting close to trails and small coastal towns and kayaking. We went to Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula for a wonderful day trip. Nearby Holbrook Sanctuary was a huge highlight of the trip because we had an unbelievable, up-close sighting of a mature bald eagle sitting on a low branch. Beautiful sunsets are a huge asset to this west-facing cottage looking out over the cove. We enjoyed our time at Driftwood very much!!"

  • Happy family in a quiet location with a beautiful scandi touch

"The house is a great place for a family to stay. The interior has a Scandinavian style with light woods and some mid-century-style furniture. Everything was working as it should. The kids made the mezzanine their kingdom where not adults were allowed. The host was very responsive, always replying immediately to our questions. The location is quiet and away. The only thing we never got fully to work has nothing to do with the house: We only got information across, once we bypassed the VRBO website and apps and switched to ordinary email."

  • Nice Place, nice landlord

"We spent a week for the summer vacation there. The apartment is well-maintained, clean and quiet. The landlord is very nice and provides all the helps you need when you are away from home. The laundry is also free to use. The small town is pretty and people are friendly. I fully recommend it. Wei."
