  • Great place for a quiet, out of the way stay.

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this property. The owners were great and got back to me quickly when making the reservation. Howard met me upon my arrival and showed me around. I enjoy cooking and the kitchen was set up great. I live in Boston and very much enjoyed the peace and tranquility of Woods Pond. Next time I plan on renting a kayak and exploring. I will most definitely be coming back."

  • Fabulous home in a wonderful area with breathtaking view!

"We have just spent a week at Captains Quarters and can't recommend it enough. It was so comfortable we had to push ourselves out to explore the park. Loved the gas fire, balcony was wonderful although being the end of season it was cold but that didn't stop us. Linda handled all my enquires efficiently and quickly. The bed was supremely comfortable and waking up to that view each morning was wonderful. We walked to Thurstons and The Ketch and enjoyed the shops in southwest harbor and did a number of good hikes. I would come back in a heart beat and was loathed to leave!"

  • Perfect Location!

"If you're looking for a beautiful, spacious home just minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, you have found it. Nestled among the towering trees, the spacious deck with its fire pit, barbecue grill, and peekaboo glimpses of the water makes it difficult to leave. In fact, you'll find yourself looking forward to coming "home" after a day of exploring the island. We picked wild blueberries behind the house and made our way down to the shore during low tide. And, if you plan to prepare meals at home, this kitchen lacks nothing. The 3rd floor deck off the master bedroom provides another inviting space for morning coffee with its glimpses of the waters below. For travelers staying in the fall and winter months, I'm sure the views are amazing! We stayed in the very hot month of July and were thankful for the air conditioning in the master bedroom. Thank you, Bonnie, for sharing your treasure with us. Our family sure hopes to return one day!"
