  • Fantastic Waterfront Property

"A great waterfront home with stunning views out over Middle Bay and the forests beyond, in a great location for exploring coastal Maine, and for travelling further inland. Lilliana's house is beautifully furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs providing ample space for our two teenagers to sprawl around, cozy bedrooms, smart bathrooms, well appointed kitchen ( fab BBQ on the deck), lovely gardens and a great jetty for canoeing. Lilliana provides bikes and canoes to enjoy the surroundings and couldn't have been more helpful with advice about local attractions, bike routes and places of interest; We even managed a trip to L L Bean one day, a real eye opener! Lilliana's house is real " getaway from it all " location, yet only 5 mins from Brunswick for groceries, you can watch the wildlife and chill out on the deck, the best place we stayed in New England on out 2 week trip."

  • First time in Maine- Did not want to leave!

"The Gills could not be anymore charming and comfortable, and the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing week with family & friends. The attention to detail was amazing and found myself roaming the house just looking at everything which really pulled in the essence of Maine and Bailey's Island. The ocean views are spectacular and were especially enjoyed from the large deck around the house, with swinging chair. Their is a secret swimming hole right out front of the house where we spent our afternoons jumping from rocks. The house was very clean, the beds super comfortable and I think the upstairs shower is now one of my favorites ever. Staying at the Gills really made our vacation one of the best ever and can not wait to comeback!"

  • Just as Pictured!

"My husband and I spent a week in August here and absolutely loved it. The house is as bright, immaculate, and beautifully decorated as in the pictures, and the views really are that good. The neighborhood is very walkable and charming and the neighbors are friendly. We rented kayaks for the week from someone just down the street and were able to beach them in the cove at the end of the neighborhood, about a 5 minute walk from the house-- very convenient. We bought some art from another neighbor who has a stunning studio in her home. The only caveat is that the water is not drinkable and you must bring your own-- they provided a gallon which for us was not enough but we didn't re-stock early enough so go ahead and bring more than you think you need! Also, if you are a person who wants long showers or baths, this is not the place for you. Only a stand-up shower that isn't designed to run for a long period of time (water well). Our hosts were helpful, responsive, and hospitable. They even shared some of their fresh-caught Maine lobsters and showed us how to prepare them! This was one of our best vacations and we hope to return."

  • Gorgeous setting!

"Loved our stay in Maine! Absolutely beautiful setting and love the windows overlooking the water. The house is "cozy" but perfect for two people. Everything you could ask for to make meals is in the kitchen! Perfect location to use as a base for sight seeing. You can go south to Portland or north to Acadia without much difficulty."
