  • Another wonderful vacation at Paradise Found!

"This is our third year coming to Scotland and our second year vacationing in Paradise Found and I could not recommend it any more. We first came to the area to look for shark teeth three years ago when my sons ages 4 and 1, were obsessed with sharks and dinosaur fossils. Three years later, they are now ages 6 and 3 and we still haven't found a shark tooth but we have found lots of toads, lizards, pebbles, seashells, fish and of course crabs! As well as being able to watch sand pipers run on the shore and Ospreys hunt for breakfast, lunch and dinner and then bring it home to their nest. It is a little naturalist's paradise and therefore a parents' and grandparents' because we can relax in comfort while they explore and discover. The house is very well equipped and decorations are beautiful. The views of the bay from the kitchen, sunroom and both decks are amazing! The privacy of the sand and surf outside your door are unbelievable. If you are looking to reconnect with nature, loved ones and/ or yourself this is it."

  • Very nice place with a lovely view!

"My family and I stayed here just for the weekend. We wanted to rent a house/condo in ocean city but everything was booked so we decided to go with Ned and Megan's condo and just drive to ocean city which is an hour away. The place was very nicely decorated, clean, and has a gorgeous view! The area is very calm so it's perfect for a relaxing weekend. I only spoke to Ned via message but he was very welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place!"

  • Perfectly located

"It's too bad that you can't upload pictures as part of the review on VRBO because there are several great sunrise pictures that we took during our stay here. The view was as good as you could possibly get. We were lucky enough to rent the property for the week of our anniversary and even luckier to have great weather the entire stay. Also, there weren't many other renters in the surrounding properties so we had the beach to ourselves every day. This was great because it gave our Golden Retriever lots of uninterrupted play and swim time. This was her first time swimming in open water and she absolutely loved it. I even got her to go kayaking with me for the first time. For the time we were there the water was very calm for all but one day so it was great for swimming. The house itself is definitely the nicest property we ever rented. Just about every room looked as if it had been featured in Pottery Barn. Plus, every bedroom had a great view of the water - even the master bathroom. The elevator was a huge plus for us because our dog was too scared to go up the stairs. We think she didn't like them because there was no backing between each step, just open space (think spiral staircase). The master bed was extremely comfy - not too soft and not too firm. The balconies were a great place to relax and feel the breeze any time of day. This house was very well thought out when being built. It really does take full advantage of its location next to the water. It was also nice to have a little fire pit in front of the house along with a picnic table. Everything we needed was provided as far as TP, soap, shampoo, towels, cookware, utensils etc. The one thing I would make note of for near future guests is the condition of the cookware. All of the non stick pots & pans were peeling to the point of being unusable. We made do with that since it was just two of us but it may be an issue if there is a bigger family and they plan on cooking more to save some money on food. This was not a big deal considering how great everything else about the property is. All in all we had a wonderful time here. We loved every minute of it so much we rarely left the property. We highly recommend this rental for anyone. Peggy was easy to deal with and was quick to take care of any minor issues that came up. We hope that we can rent another property from her at some point down the road. Don't pass up on this stunning property if you have the opportunity to rent it."

  • Great family get away from it all

"We had one of the best 4th of July's as a family. The cottage was perfect for our family of 6. It is clean and have everything we needed. We enjoyed being close to the beaches one we kayaked daily to, the other beach we drove to at the end of the island 1 mile. We put our jet skis in the water and collected shells. The locals and owner are very friendly and we learned a lot about deal islands history thru them to get the full experience. The stars and sunset are AMAZING. The cottage has all the necessity. We would suggest a larger dinning table and seating for 6 not 4 we were a bit cramped. Also maybe some Adirondack chairs for around the fire pit. We had some great nights out there making smores. ( bring bug spray) And I think a picnic table would be a great addition. There is 2 kayaks and a great canoe we used and loved. We made friends with the neighbors and they even brought us fresh steamed crabs that were amazing. You can fish and crab right off the beach or bridge across from the house. And look forward to another vacation there soon."
