  • luxurious house - great for families

"Book this house (if you can manage to get it!) We were two families with small children traveling together. The house has two large common spaces and very large separate bedrooms which each have their own bathroom. It feels very luxurious which was great since ,due to our small kiddos, we spent quite a bit of time at the house. The owner David was very responsive when we had an issue with the internet. Really love this house. Hoping to rent there next year."

  • Memorable vacation in a impeccable home

"Our vacation was nothing less than perfect and the home was the same way. It was away from the busy main road but close enough to Edgartown and Oak Bluffs that shopping, dining and food was not a far distance. The home has such character and a beautiful story to its name and it being built; there's very few houses nowadays that have as much heart put into it as this one. The location, the very responsive and kind owner, and the story behind how this house became a home is more than enough reason to want to return again soon."

  • Comfortable Island Property

"Great house for a family. The house, which is nicely decorated with antique furniture and very well maintained, has an interesting history that includes stays by Marilyn Monroe, Arthur Miller and Saul Bellow. It has a furnished (including a farm table and chairs for dining) screened porch with skylights that runs the length of the side of the house. The porch opens onto a sizable partially fenced yard with grass and flower gardens surrounded by mature trees. The house is not air conditioned, but the porch has ceiling fans and the interior rooms have plenty of windows for ventilation and can, if necessary, be cooled by portable fans. The bedrooms are good sized, and the beds comfortable. There are two and 1/2 baths in the house. The half bath is downstairs off a bedroom; the two full baths are upstairs, both with tubs (but only one of them has a shower; you have to stand in the tub to use it). There is a spacious outdoor shower which we used regularly. The kitchen is small but efficient; it is very well equipped with modern appliances and ample cookware and dishes. The owner lives nearby and he and his wife greeted us on arrival. No doubt that they would be very responsive if there were any problems (we didn't have any). Property location is close (around a corner) to Alley's general store and a sandwich shop, next door to a church, across the street from a playground, and a block from the Grange Hall where events and outdoor markets regularly occur. Although there is daytime traffic on a major road about 1/2 block away that goes up-island, Music Street where the house is located is usually quiet. Both streets are virtually silent by late evening and overnight. This property would be suitable for cold weather stays since it has fireplaces and is furnished to make it the sort of place where you'd like to curl up with a good book (there are plenty to choose from throughout the house)."

  • Excellent Rental - Clean, Ample Space, Quiet Location

"This home in West Tisbury is a hidden gem! Away from the crowds and chaos of other towns, we found privacy and serenity in this spacious, very clean and well-appointed home. Pam has anticipated the needs of her guests while also adding those little extras that contribute to one’s comfort. My family rented this home with our in-laws for an extended weekend in September to attend a family wedding. The house had plenty of room for us all the spread out and prepare for the events without getting in each other’s way (unlike a hotel) The roomy living and dining rooms were great for relaxing each evening. Pam’s yard is very generous and a very peaceful place to relax and “get away from it all”. We only wish we had had more time between planned events to enjoy all these accommodations offered. Pam was very professional, friendly and responsive - it was a pleasure working with her. We will certainly contact her first when returning to the island!"
