  • Very clean & bright w/ a good view of the ocean.

"House was very clean, bright & comfortable. Good view of the water & Plum Island w/ a neighborhood beach within walking distance. One of bedrooms is located in the finished portion of the basement. Very good washer & dryer & lots of towels & beach chairs available. Crane Beach in Ipswich is wonderful & can be reached by car for a fee or boat if available. Russell Orchard on Argilla Rd. on the way to Crane Beach sells great doughnuts, cider & ice cream. Berry picking is also available there. Ipswich has houses that date back to the 1600s. Good places to eat are Riverview Pizza & Choate Bridge Pub, which has great seafood."

  • Gorgeous location

"Extremely well kept home, that was very clean with a excellent location for the beach. The house provided everything we needed from an outdoor shower to lots of extra seating and even providing extra towels and blankets. Also has the best views from the deck looking over the water. The owner was always there to answer questions for me and to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall extremely happy family vacation with kids and a safe environment."

  • Clean, comfortable, well-appointed, close to beach and village with parking!

"The title says it all. This is a very clean, updated, comfortable unit in an excellent location, nearly equidistant from the seaside village of Rockport and the comfy Front Beach. By foot, it's two minutes to dining, shopping, and galleries and about five minutes to Front Beach. Though close to the village, it's not loud, as it's tucked down a side street leading to a beautiful granite pier. One can see the ocean and pier from the numerous windows and from the cozy porch. The dedicated off-street parking space is a dream, and makes it far more enticing to take short day trips of the surrounding area--and there's lots to do within a short drive including a selection of larger beaches, whale watching, and various historical tours. There's also a train station that's about a 15 minute walk for those inclined to see Boston without the hassle of driving. Although we don't have pets, the upstairs renters had dog, and it's pet friendly. We come to Rockport every year and this was by far our favorite place."

  • Beautiful, well appointed house on Plum Island

"I live in Newburyport, only three miles away from this location, and we rented the house off-season for my family to stay in when they were in town visiting. It was November and a little too cold to make use of the outdoor space but the inside of the house was warm and comforting. Eleanor was a very responsive host and the house had all the essentials you would need for a short or long stay. Although not right on the beach, the lot across Northern Boulevard is empty so you could still see the sunrise and the ocean from the second floor. The bedrooms do not have TVs and a large dinner table make the house conducive to time with family or friends. If you are looking for a party house at the beach this is not it but if you are looking for a beautiful comfortable space to stay and enjoy all the area has to offer, you've found it."
