  • Amazing location to Ski resorts. Very clean and comfortable.

"It was a very nice, clean Condo. It's 2 bedrooms and a loft which doubles as a 3rd bedroom. Pool and Hot tub are a nice addition just need a bit of repairs. Any group over 6 people the livingroom seating is a struggle. However, the dining-room table chairs could be used. We really enjoyed our stay. Great location to everything! We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. Bonus garage was a plus.. just an automatic opener would have been a plus..;) thanks for a very comfortable stay!"

  • a "gem' of a vacation spot

"We had a wonderful vacation(4 adults-4 kids -6,7,9,11, and a baby) at this lovely cottage, nestled between the trees on beautiful Lake Michigan. The cottage was tastefully decorated, immaculate and offered us spectacular lake views from every room. From a well-equipped kitchen to bath towels/beach towels, washer and dryer all our needs were met. The owners were a pleasure to work with, they patiently answered all our questions and made the renting process very easy. We spent most of our days just relaxing on the the beach, swimming, building sand castles, hunting for rocks, and kayaking. With 4 kids and a baby we loved that the beach was just a short walk from the cottage so it made toting all our beach stuff very easy!! At night we marveled at the glorious sunsets, gazed at the breath-taking heavens and roasted marshmallows around the firepit. And one night we were gifted with a thrilling view of the Northern Lights. My grandchildren loved catching the frogs in the tiny pond in the front yard. It kept them busy while we were relaxing on the the spacious deck and just enjoying all the peace and serenity that this vacation spot has to offer. We biked a bit of the Traverse Wheelway, visited a nearby fish hatchery, and my daughter and son-in-law trekked up to Pictured Rocks a mere 2-3 hours away. We drove to Mackinaw City and stocked up on fudge and ate whitefish at Darrow’s, a family- friendly restaurant that we highly recommend. We love, love this vacation cottage and hope to come back next year. Oh, and we found 3 Petoskey stones! Thank-you Robert and Shari!"

  • PERFECTLY PERFECT!!!

"We rented Pago for one week August 20-27. What a charming property! Ron and Andi are absolutely wonderful to work with. Pago, conveniently located, we were never without something to do or see. The house sits on a hill with just a few steps down to a wonderful sandy beach. On the first level, the house has beautiful (well varnished) hardwood floors and an amazing stone fireplace. We immediately fell in love when we opened the door and immediately saw nothing but beautiful blue waters of Lake Michigan! The screened in porch is beyond the large picture windows that line the whole wall of the living and dining room. The lower level is just as charming with tiled floors and fireplace. We had a fire the first night we arrived since it was quite chilly, and it was GREAT! The fire pit on the beach is perfectly located. Our mornings started out slow every day with a walk on the beach south, which is Conservancy property. Very private! Every day we enjoyed walking out to the point (to the south) to collect rocks. Crepe's at the Good Hart camping trailer are a MUST! Dinner at Leg's Inn in Cross Village is a MUST. Breakfast at the Old World Cafe is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!! The decor, service, and food are outstanding at Old World Cafe. We hope they offer a dinner service by next year. Daily visits to the local artist sanctuary in Cross Village is a TOTAL MUST!!! Three Pines Studio is AMAZING!!! You can buy art, look at art, or make art. Maddie is a textile painter and very informative. The owner, Gene, is a wealth of knowledge, and an amazing potter. The General Store-Marathon station in Cross Village is a good place to go for beverages, snacks, and some deli foods. The Curio shop across from Leg's Inn was a real treat because it has unique items from around the world. Very nice european toys for children. Pago is absolutely perfect in every way. I cannot think of one negative. The location is perfect, right off the Tunnel of Trees. The driveway is long, so you don't see the house from the road. If I had to make one request it is for a King size bed in the main floor bedroom, but the Queen size bed is certainly very comfortable. The furniture is all very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with nice dishes, pots, pans, pitchers, etc... We plan to return every year Ron and Andi will have us. Our son age 8 said, "I just want to sit here and think about this moment, because I love it here." PAGO IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Thank you, Ron and Andi"

  • Our Home Away from Home

"This was an exceptionally wonderful experience for my husband and myself, along with my daughter and her family. Our two granddaughters loved the pond and the deck. We loved watching the Lake Michigan sunsets and the wildlife. With so much acreage, the property is quiet and relaxed, yet so close to Lake Michigan and Petoskey and Harbor Springs to the south and Mackinaw City and beyond to the north. We took full advantage of the proximity, swimming on a beautiful Lake Michigan beach recommended to us by Margaret, the chalet's wonderful owner, and took the easy drive to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island and to see the Soo Locks and museum. The house is so pleasant and easy to be in. Margaret and Stan have thought of everything, and it is every bit as beautiful (and more) as you see in the photos they have posted. Margaret met us the first night and oriented us to the house and the area and then we were on our own to spend the delightful and delicious week at the house together as a family, making memories. I would Most definitely recommend this rental to anyone. Beautiful house, beautiful area and wonderful, easy to work with owners. Thank you so much, Margaret and Stan!"
