  • Beautiful home

"What a beauty. Amazing view of the lake from the back, but a quiet, wooded area from the front full of chipmunks, deer and squirrels. Home is large with two comfortably furnished family areas, nicely stocked kitchen with newer appliances. Not a lot of steps to the lake. We loved the tidepool like area between the lake and the house. Our 20 month old grandson loved it, since it has no waves and most of it was shallow enough for him to wade around. The beds were comfortable and the home was very clean. We appreciated having stocked seasonings, coffee filters, beach towels, soap. Made packing and planning a breeze. They also provide dog towels , bowls which is certainly a bonus. We had no complaints. The owner is very organized and sends a nice packet with all information needed. Even a list of DVD's, maps. We saw no one else on the beach while we were there and the weather in early Sept was perfect. There are rocks on the beach, but we had no difficulty walking, and the little one loved throwing them into the lake. Highly recommend."

  • Perfect house, excellent location!

"My family of four stayed in this house for two weeks over the Christmas break and we loved everything about it! This house is extremely clean, very beautiful and cozy, and is in a wonderful location - basically in the center of town and in walking distance to main street, the beach, grocery store and churches. The owners thought of everything when they remodeled this house. The connecting garage and spacious mudroom made dealing with our ski equipment a breeze. This house is perfect for a family of four and the basement makes a great hang out room for the kids fully equipped with a large TV and ping-pong table. Mom's favorite thing about this house was the extremely clean kitchen, bathroom and very comfortable beds! It was a pleasure to rent this house from one of the owners, John LoVascoe. John was super friendly and very professional and it is apparent that he takes pride in this home. We highly recommend this cottage/house in beautiful Harbor Springs!"

  • a "gem' of a vacation spot

"We had a wonderful vacation(4 adults-4 kids -6,7,9,11, and a baby) at this lovely cottage, nestled between the trees on beautiful Lake Michigan. The cottage was tastefully decorated, immaculate and offered us spectacular lake views from every room. From a well-equipped kitchen to bath towels/beach towels, washer and dryer all our needs were met. The owners were a pleasure to work with, they patiently answered all our questions and made the renting process very easy. We spent most of our days just relaxing on the the beach, swimming, building sand castles, hunting for rocks, and kayaking. With 4 kids and a baby we loved that the beach was just a short walk from the cottage so it made toting all our beach stuff very easy!! At night we marveled at the glorious sunsets, gazed at the breath-taking heavens and roasted marshmallows around the firepit. And one night we were gifted with a thrilling view of the Northern Lights. My grandchildren loved catching the frogs in the tiny pond in the front yard. It kept them busy while we were relaxing on the the spacious deck and just enjoying all the peace and serenity that this vacation spot has to offer. We biked a bit of the Traverse Wheelway, visited a nearby fish hatchery, and my daughter and son-in-law trekked up to Pictured Rocks a mere 2-3 hours away. We drove to Mackinaw City and stocked up on fudge and ate whitefish at Darrow’s, a family- friendly restaurant that we highly recommend. We love, love this vacation cottage and hope to come back next year. Oh, and we found 3 Petoskey stones! Thank-you Robert and Shari!"
