We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The walk to the private beach was short and the beach access was great. We enjoyed days playing at the beautiful beach and watching gorgeous sunsets. The host was very helpful, as well. I would highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful, enjoyable vacation.

Property was beautiful and rural just like we wanted. Lots of space for our dogs and kid to run around. Right across the street from the beach but a pretty steep hill to get to it (which we knew already but living it is different then knowing it). View of the lake was beautiful from back porch and the fire pit was great to have!

A charming quiet area, the M119 washout made it especially so. Especially enjoyed the nearby parks and hikes.

If you're searching for the perfect cozy, dog friendly getaway on the Tunnel of Trees, stop looking and book this one! The cottage sits right on M-119, and even with some of the road closed from washouts, we still got to enjoy a good portion of the Tunnel of Trees in full fall color, which was absolutely breathtaking. The beach is just across a small road and super easy to get to, so we spent a beautiful, warm day there with our dogs, soaking it all in. Back at the house, the yard is tucked into its own secluded little area with gorgeous scenery all around, and our dogs absolutely loved it. There's a second cottage to the left of the house, but no one was there during our stay, so it felt completely private. The home itself was spotless, stocked with every amenity you could need and then some, and so cozy that it felt like home the minute we walked in. Don't miss dinner at Legs Inn just up the road! We're so grateful to our host for such a wonderful stay, and we'll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful, pet friendly cabin with private beach access in an incredibly beautiful part of Michigan. Nothing could be better, including the fantastic host. Michael was communicative, helpful, and went the extra mile to insure our comfort.

We had a lovely time and felt the house was as listed. It felt like being in a tree house, so that was cool. Bonfires, swimming, endless beach to walk, and sunsets are what Northern MI summers are all about! We would recommend Sturgeon Bay/Wilderness State Park for a bit more beach privacy, and it's only a 5 mile drive from the house. Water shoes recommended for the houses beach access initially, but then the lake becomes nice and sandy the further you go out into the water. Being able to have our two dogs with us was very important, because they're family! I look forward to booking again! Thank you!

The cottage is absolutely lovely! Mike is very responsive and provided great places to see and things to do. (Although if you stayed put right at the cottage, you’d be just fine! Plenty to see and do right there) The cottage is very comfortable and felt like home. Plenty of space and the dogs enjoyed their time also! Excellent views!

The home was clean and well stocked for what we needed. It was private and wooded so we could let our dogs off leash. The deck with views of Lake Michigan has a gate to keep the dogs contained so they could be outside and not sneak off to chase chipmunks. We walked the beach with the dogs for miles both ways without another person in sight. Lake Michigan was beautiful and right across the road.Legs Inn is a must with good polish food in a beautiful location overlooking Lake Michigan and it's right up the street. There was a road washout on both sides of the house that kept traffic rerouted. I feel it could get busy when it's open but the house is way up off the road. The host was responsive and helpful when we had trouble with TV remotes that were mixed up. He also sent us a 16 page printout with where things are, in and around the house that was very helpful. We did have a guy come by and mow the lawn while we were there which I thought was weird but he apparently doesn't communicate with the owner well. He was surprised as well.Overall it was a great stay and we'd do it again. The location, friendly host and the fact it was perfect for the dog's was great. Mike, thanks again for sharing and we hope to see you next year.

Beautiful Quiet Relaxing

We had a wonderful stay. Peaceful and close to everything we wanted to visit. The steep property incline was a perfect exercise playground. The amenities were beyond what was expected. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Loved the location of this house - quick drives to Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinac. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Access to the beach was a 2 minute walk, and was worth every step up and down the driveway…we had the entire beach to ourselves and it was beautiful! Also loved all of the extras that were already there and we didn’t have to pack - beach chairs, wagon for towing to the beach, fans, etc.

Fall trip to Cross Village

We stayed at this house in May a couple of years ago and loved it. The location in the Tunnel of Trees and right across the street from Lake Michigan access is amazing. We love gathering and eating on the deck which provides a great view of the lake. It's quiet, clean and we absolutely love this house and location!

Perfect Winter Get-away

Came up for a few days just to get away. GREAT location - around the corner from the local market. Stunning lake view. Wonderfully appointed. Was just perfect and we slept great. Owners gave us a wealth of information leading up to our stay - so helpful! We felt well-cared for and very appreciative.
