  • Perfect Location!

"We stayed here August 13-20th. The home is just across from the Dune climb and we used the canoe and paddle boat often. We were 5 adults and 2 kids (4 and 7) staying at the house with multiple other family members staying in the area so we had wonderful large family dinners on the patio with an amazing view. The round patio table was a bit difficult to get in and out of sometimes. The house was not updated, but very clean and provided enough space for everyone (although we spent most of the time outdoors). We climbed the dunes a few times, toured the Pierce Stocking Drive and overlooks and floated the Platte River to Lake Michigan. We would highly recommend this home and had a wonderful time!"

  • Beauty, Privacy, and the Comforts of Home

"We had an incredible time at Brook Song, and I want to second the review that said this is a better spot than the lake. We visited 6 beaches, 4 towns, and we didn't get to do everything we wanted to do. Since it doesn't make sense to just park yourself at the lake, why stay on the beach when you can have the wonderful comforts and seclusion of Brook Song just a bit off the beaten path? We had everything we needed here, including wonderful hospitality, and the gardens (flower and vegetable) are everything that the other reviewers said. In short, our family could think of no better spot to spend a week."

"This log home was beautiful for sure. We had 12 people in our family so the home was big enough to accommodate us all. Although we knew the owner had a cabin on the premises, we did not realize it was attached to the home we rented. It freaked us out at first, but we didn't let it bother our fun. Although the home was beautiful.........the kitchen was on the small side. You could not put the dishes away in the cupboard until you closed the dishwasher. Keep in mind that there are a lot of stairs to climb in this home. The gas fire pit that was promised did not arrive until mid week, and the humming of the hot tub kept us awake most of the week. We did not find the extra towels until the end of the week as they were stored in the upstairs sleeping area. This home was a short walk to town. The Sleeping Bear Dunes was a short drive. We rented a pontoon boat on Glen Lake and the kids went tubing. Another day we tubed on the Platte River. We loved Glen Arbor."

  • A little adventure

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second stay in a month. We loved the first time around we quickly came back. Actually it was a vacation redo because I was sick. But would not have gone anywhere else. This little escape is very clean and cozy, close enough to everything. After a long day of playing and hiking it was great to come "home" and relax. Our four legged family member also thank you for the hospitality. We look forward to next season."
