  • Wonderful property

"We truly enjoyed our stay up here! Three buildings - 2 houses and a rec room (that has a loft with beds)! Our family (6 adults and 4 children under 9) spent the week and could not have asked for more. The owner was very responsive to questions. The location is beautiful. Sandy beach and shallow out to the dock which gave our young ones plenty of water space. The younger ones learned to Kayak and all of us enjoyed time kayaking around the lake! We could not have asked for anything more! Thank you for sharing your lovely home(s)! And thank you for the great weather!"

  • Quiet get away in the middle of everything!

"Excellent location 100 ft to beach and probably 200 ft to main intersection in Glen Arbor! Grocery, fun restaurants, shopping, mini golf, tennis courts, basketball court all minutes away. So easy for a family to spread out and enjoy themselves at this house! It's unique that there is an attached apartment where the owner lives but we really never heard her and didn't feel a lack of privacy. The house is even nicer than pictured. Very spacious living area, big screened in porch and bonfire pit. Has a great vibe with refreshingly quirky, artsy decor. Bedrooms are good size with comfortable beds and a ceiling fan. Only one bath but it's centrally located and a good size. My kids loved the wii and Netflix is a nice add-on."

  • Huge house, designed for happy stays

"The house is huge! My husband's family - his three sisters, their spouses and the two of us - have an annual get-together somewhere we have never been. One of them chose Michigan this year, and the choice was perfect. There is so much to do in the area, and using the Smith house as a home base made the coming and going almost effortless. Each couple had their own bedroom and bath, and the two living areas gave us two separate tv viewing spots when darkness settled. (Some of us are not big football fans.) The yards are gorgeous. The kitchen is a cook's dream, and if any of us missed curtains on the bedroom windows, it wasn't mentioned. There is sufficient seclusion and one never had the sense that there were any unwanted observers - unless it was an owl in the trees. We'll be exploring some other part of the country next year, but Glen Arbor will always harbor special memories. Thank you, James. You couldn't have done it better."
