  • Excellent place, extremely close to everything!

"First off, let me say that this place is much larger and nicer than the pictures make it appear. It is large, clean, newly updated, and comfortable - basically a small, modern, updated house. I stayed there this past weekend with four adult friends - so five adults total - and we had more than enough room for all of us to stay. There were two queen beds in the cottage, and we were able to put two air mattresses on the floor while still leaving more than enough room to move around comfortably all weekend and store our things. The cottage was very clean, very well-stocked with dishes and linens and appliances, and was two blocks from the river in one direction and two blocks from Butler Street (full of shops and restaurants) in the other. But at the same time, it is nestled up against a wooded area and is therefore very quiet for sleeping and for sitting on the nice, covered deck to relax and read or chat with your friends/family. Overall, this place far exceeded my expectations, and for future trips to Saugatuck I will definitely be planning to stay here again. It was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway with a small group."

  • Fantastic! Don't hesitate in booking.

"Brought my parents from England to show them the delights of Saugatuck. Was a little worried as this was my first VRBO, but it was utterly fantastic. The house was full of history (which my dad was missing at this point in his stay in the US), but all the modern things were there and the house was perfectly kitted out and cool. Great location too...just a few minutes to the town on foot. Looking forward to my next stay there."

  • Love this house!

"This is an adorable house in a great town! Only a couple blocks away from downtown Saugatuck! My husband, dog, and I stayed here and it was plenty of space...had room for a couple extra people for sure. And everything you need is in the house including doggie poop bags if you bring your furry one along! We liked it so much we stayed an extra night!!"

  • family fun vacation

"We had 15 people fit comfortably in this beautifully situated property. Location was lovely with sunsets every night just two blocks away. For those who like stairs, you can walk down the 96 of them to the beach front and enjoy lake Michigan at your feet. This private beach was ideal for us who'd rather not go to Oval Beach with the entire town. The front screened-in porch was lovely for morning coffee. The side yard perfect for baggo games and fire pit for an evening marshmallow roast, guitar playing and sing a longs. We barely used the hot tub because the weather was hot and chemicals didn't seem like they were working adequately. When we realized we didn't have enough towels for everyone we contacted the owner who quickly remedied the situation. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/cups etc. but on the small side for those who like to cook. The teenagers really appreciated getting away to the basement to play on the Wii, ping pong and pool table. Lots of fun down there! We have some small suggestions that we think would help the house be even more fabulous than it already is... If the refrigerator was plugged in the basement, we would have used it for sure. Instead we had coolers upstairs for additional beverages that couldn't fit in the kitchen refrigerator that doesn't have an ice maker (so plan accordingly). We suggest rubber bath mats for inside the shower for those older folks who are prone to slipping and maybe a hand rail in the shower for them too. Us ladies would have appreciated some hangers in the very large closets (really nice) to hang our clothes. And one last nit picky suggestion is deep fitted sheets so they don't untuck while sleeping. These are all minor suggestions, as the owners have really thought of everything here. The only other downside to this property (or maybe upside for some) is the poor cell phone coverage. This is no fault of the owner, just a Saugatuck location issue. The house has a landline as a back up which came in handy a few times. We really loved everything about this impeccably maintained home, whose owners are there whenever you need something. Thanks for the lovely accommodations :)"
