  • Loved this dog friendly property

"Charming, clean, dog friendly property in a central location to downtown Saugatuck. This cozy two bedroom / two bath had all the things needed for a relaxing stay. We loved that we had parking, a grill a backyard for the dog and we were close to downtown for dinner/drinks and events that happened over the weekend. We will stay here again."

  • Charming Cottage with a a lot of Character and a Fabulous Porch!

"It was a quick getaway girls trip! The cottage was decorated in a comfortable family friendly way. All our needs were taken care of, from sitting on the huge screened wrap around porch having our morning coffee to the evening with cocktails. Nature was all around us and a view of the water...perfect setting! We chilled out in the evening hanging out in the large comfortable great room with a puzzle and drinks...very relaxing. Mark, the owner and Jeff, the caretaker were awesome to work with. I highly recommend the property for a family or girls get away or whatever!"

  • Jewel in the Crown of Saugatuck

"My husband and I needed to get away from Chicago for a week vacation before fall set in. We fell in love with this place. The wrap-around front porch with colorful Adirondack-style rocking chairs (great for morning coffee with the birds and squirrels), the screened porch, which doubled as an outdoor living room, the parlor and living area, the tastefully appointed and decorated kitchen, the simple, charming bedrooms, decorated with handmade quilts, the fact that there was a laundry in the basement which we could use after a day at the beach -- all made us happy, content and peaceful. But the beauty and history of this house with the great selection of books about Oxbow Summer School of Art and Saugatuck history, and the wonderful framed photos and maps of Saugatuck, Oxbow and Douglas made the house feel drenched in memory and love. Beautiful paintings of Saugatuck land and beach-scapes are hung throughout the house, along with tapestries of Oxbow and Saugatuck buildings. Adding to the sense of history and place are old weathered signs hung thoughtfully throughout the ground area as well, one sign which states "Oval Beach", in another spot, inscribed above a doorway are the words on a plaque “Bunky’s Room.” The lawn around the building, the grape arbor in the backyard, the stately trees which surround the house, the library, the antique oriental rugs, the sense of family all conspire to bring beauty, charm, memories and love alive. And if all that beauty and charm is not enough, you are minutes walking distance from everything in town. A perfect get away, and a jewel of a place! We plan to return!"

  • Incredible!

"My husband and I rented this for my 60th birthday celebration. Nine friends accompanied us. The home was a perfect location for my gathering. It was spacious and offered so much privacy. In fact, it is almost too lovely to rent to tourists! We have been staying at vacation condos/homes for many years and this was, by far, the nicest place we have ever rented. The home is nicely furnished with beautiful decorations. All of my guests applauded the comfort of the mattresses (I am very picky about mattresses!). The kitchen area was the main gathering for our guests along with the 10 additional people who joined us for cocktails Saturday night. All were amazed with the home, and those not staying with us insisted on a complete tour. They were stunned by its beauty. When we weren't in the kitchen area, we were in the adjoining family room watching football (it was a very rainy day). The sectional in that room was beyond belief; so supple and relaxing. On that late October Friday afternoon, a few of us gathered on the pretty screened-in sun porch to have cocktails and enjoy the afternoon sun. The home is located just two blocks from shopping in a quiet pretty neighborhood. The kitchen is completely stocked with every kind of gadget you could possibly need. I couldn't have chosen a better location for my 60th birthday and feel lucky to have stayed in this home. We are already planning a girl's escape for summer 2016."
