  • Very nice girls weekend getaway

"There were three of us in this house for two nights. We have been friends for over 30 years and enjoy taking a "girls trip" every year. Most of the time we travel somewhere far away and exciting. This year we decided to keep it more low key and enjoy each others company without the distractions of a big city. I could not have been happier! This home is so adorable and cozy. We enjoyed shopping for a bit during the day and having dinner at a restaurant by the water but our best moments were spent in this cute home playing cards or just sitting around having great conversations. It was bright, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stock with everything we needed. The little guest house out back was very nice too. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing I think needs to be done is to replace the mattress in the main bedroom. It was hard as a rock and lumpy. Very very hard on my back. The other beds seemed to be fine. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!"

  • October relaxation.

"We spent 3 nights and it was great. We had our fur friend along so we shopped at the Super Valu and cooked on the gas grill. There is a fire bowl so we made a fire each night. A short walk up the hill is a nice trail through the woods. There is a nice dog park near Douglas and that was fun too. The cottage has a very nice bathroom and we enjoyed watching cable TV and reading. Several state parks nearby along with boat rides and shopping give you plenty of entertainment options. Just down the road is a museum but it is only open on weekends after labor day so we missed that. When you aren't busy the little cottage is a peaceful place to relax and unwind. In a nutshell we loved th "Nutshell"."

  • Absolutely the Best

"My family of 11 totally enjoyed the Bayou House for the week of the 4th this summer. I can't think of a thing that was missing nor was there any lack of things to do at the house. We grilled, had smores around the fire pit, kayaked, paddle-boarded, row-boated, biked, cooked great meals, relaxed in the fantastically decorated and comfortable rooms and slept in after late night movies on the TVs. This is probably the best equipped home we have ever rented and i speak from may years of experience. Thanks to Joyce and Marta for everything. Bill"

  • Cool living quarters in the heart of Saugatuck

"My husband, 3 year-old, and I LOVED this place and location! The suite was cool, clean, and comfortable - a perfect retreat for our family and steps away from all the cute shops, galleries, and restaurants. We really enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the evenings and having all the amenities of a furnished apartment (especially great with a small child in tow). The art gallery below was amazing, and loved that we got a discount for being a guest there. We absolutely will come back again in the future. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"
