  • Beautiful home and property with lots of extras

"This a beautiful home!. Because of the large living room picture windows, the lakefront and woodland vistas felt like they were part of the indoor decor. The owners stay in touch and are very responsive. The pool room is a great alternative space for different individuals in your party. Also very organized provisions and directions on how to operate things. Seasonal caution: We were there the second week in September and there were pesky black biting flies"

  • Very clean, nice, perfect location.

"The owner was very accommodating. The property was very clean and super cute. You could hear the neighbors quite well and the parking lot was tiny, otherwise great place to stay."

  • Quaint, clean, comfortable cottage in quiet neighborhood.

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Red House with my sisters and their husbands. The beds were comfortable, and we made use of all 4 bedrooms. We appreciated the hardwood floors (no carpeting), the artwork and the cottage-like decor. There was plenty of room for all 4 couples to sit at the dining table and the living room is cozy and comfortable. We loved the front porch, but did not use the small patio, as we could not all fit around it, and there was no fire pit. The kitchen was as described, with a very nice dishwasher and a good coffee pot. The bathrooms are small, but adequate. We really enjoyed walking into town everyday. We highly recommend Uncommon Grounds coffee shop and Pumpernickel's. We took the short drive to beautiful Opal Beach and the trails through the dunes. We had to turn the heat up one day and smelled gas fumes as we were leaving for town, so we called Kate. She came right down and checked everything and told us that it's not unusual to smell gas the first few times the heat is turned on. One of the burners on the gas stove turned off unexpectedly but she checked that out too. Everything was clean and there were plenty of towels."

  • Charming

"This is a charming house in a great neighborhood. It was very clean, well equipped and just a short walk to town and the water. We spent a week along the west coast of Michigan and stayed in three small towns, this was the best by far. Ed"
