  • Wow and Double Wow

"If you like beautiful mountains, gorgeous sunrises, fantastic sunsets, amazing star-filled nights, and double rainbows , then this is the place for you. And that's just what's OUTSIDE the house. Inside the house feels like home. Cheryl and Lew provide you with an extremely well equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture throughout the house (I especially loved the cozy comforters on the beds), and decorative touches which perfectly fitted the log cabin home. During our stay, Cheryl and I exchanged numerous text messages. She seemed genuinely interested in our daily excursions and made several helpful suggestions. During one rainy day, we decided to stay "home" and just relax. We didn't feel like the day was wasted at all! We had a great day enjoying this wonderful log cabin and its beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend this rental. My husband and I will be back for sure!"

  • Great set up

"We had a blast at Erin and Abe's Duck Lake cabin. It was a nice drive to GNP each day and had plenty of space for our group. We cooked in each night and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet aspects of the cabin. Erin was extremely helpful with suggestions for places to go and hikes, which is much appreciated. Hopefully we'll be back one day!"

  • Comfortable, beautiful, real-Montana setting

"Gorgeous location on Duck Lake with spectacular sunrises and sunsets every day, the lake on one side and the mountains on the other. Incredibly close and convenient to the best hiking and the most striking mountain view in Glacier (the Many Glacier and St. Mary's Valleys and the Grinnell Glacier trail). Though the west side of the park is ritzier, the east side is much more beautiful. Since there aren't as many restaurant options on the east side it was great to be able to cook for ourselves; Irene made sure the kitchen was well-appointed and stocked with basics like spices, butter, flour and cooking oil and charcoal and propane supplied for grilling. Her home is cozy and comfortable; located on a real-Montana road (not touristy -- a big plus for us!) with cows grazing out front and a herding dog and young women on horseback rounding them up at night. And Irene herself was very gracious, attentive and helpful. If you're coming in from Great Falls, buy your groceries there (at Smith's, just off the interstate). Shopping closer in is just for the basics. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely go back! Thank you, Irene!"
