  • Quaint Beach Cottage

"Great location with easy walking distance to beach and restaurants. The cottage is very nicely decorated and has a real beach feel. We especially enjoyed the enclosed porch. Our son and his wife commented on the comfort of the queen bed and the upstairs is very spacious. Parking is not a problem and we found the area to be very peaceful and family oriented. When we checked the beach passes we found one was missing. We notified Michelle and advised her not to worry as we only needed 5, however, within a short time a friendly gentlemen arrived with another beach pass. Michelle was very responsive to our needs and did a great job of communicating. All and all a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches."

  • So close to the beach - you can hear the waves kiss the shore!

"We stayed in the second floor unit from July 16 through July 23. The hands down best feature of the house is its location to the beach. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the beach. There is a quaint little beach lane behind the house which makes it very quick. As for the deck, it actually would have a view of the ocean if not for the small grove of pines and the new dunes which are very high - but it's that close that you'd see the ocean - and as an added bonus, the rear of the house faces one of the McMansion's backyards - so it's clear through to the open sky above the ocean (through the pine trees). The house is a throw back to the 1960's with knotty pine throughout, but newer carpeting and some new light fixtures - the bathroom looks like part of the set from "I Love Lucy" pink tile - but everything works fine. The kitchen is clean and updated (sink faucet pulls out so it's also a sprayer) and features a dishwasher and breakfast island. The master has a door to the bathroom and is roomy with a comfortable mattress. The second bedroom is small, L-shaped with one single bed and then bunks - which are suitable for children - but I wouldn't recommend them for adults as there isn't much head room between the bunk beds and the mattresses in this room are very firm - Mom compared hers to sleeping on a "concrete slab." So you may want to bring feather bed toppers with you. That being said, this is the house to rent - because of the location. It is surrounded by Mansions and the gardens in the neighborhood of Beach Haven Gardens are the best I've seen on the whole of LBI. This is a very safe neighborhood where you'll see many families riding bicycles after dinner or taking long walks. The house is convenient to Murphy's Supermarket and Foster's Garden store (about 2 blocks to the LBI boulevard if you walk) and a WAWA and Gulf Station. I loved my stay here - and I"ve been coming to LBI for many many years. This is by far one of the best rentals for the value and the owners are very nice. I'd also recommend for eating: Woodies Too, Fred's Diner (my mother's favorite) and Foster's Garden Market for sandwiches. As for souvenirs - please do yourself a great favor and visit "How To Live" - this shop is one of a kind and remarkable (there are two - one in Beach Haven and one in Surf City)."

  • We will be back!!

"This house is in a perfect location on the Island - walking distance to a lot of good restaurants and attractions and not a far walk to the beach. It's a quick walk across the Boulevard to watch the sunsets on the bay too. The front porch is a great place to watch the world go by - and it's ideal for breakfast and dinner! The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms spacious and the entire house was very clean! Very nice to have a few extra beach chairs to use for guests as well. Jim is very responsive and communicative and we got our security deposit refunded quickly. We can't wait until next year!"
