  • Great ski house rental

"Can't beat the price! Place was a short drive from Hunter. Nice pool table, comfortable beds, hottub was a plus after a long day on the slopes! Would stay again."

  • Lovely farmhouse, exceptional location

"Stella farms is a lovely old farmhouse that sits on one of the most beautiful plots of land in the vicinity. The house is charming and decorated authentically in tasteful and comfortabe antique style: the grounds are gorgeous, with old growth trees, beautiful gardens, and farmland across the quiet road. Pool and amenities are terrific. This is not a new build house with all the trimmings. Rather it is a delightful rustic place for those who want a true weekend in the countryside plus pool and creature comforts."

  • Couldn't have done better

"I have to agree with the previous reviews - the place is spectacular - better than the pictures. Four friends get together every year and we have rented houses all over - and all agree, this is the best yet - probably never to be surpassed. The home is so well stocked - you think of it - it's there. All furnishings are beautiful but relaxing - nothing felt like you couldn't use it. Elizabeth is a wonderful host, greeting us to show us around her beautiful home and always available if the need arises. The pool is a huge bonus - after a day of sightseeing to come back and relax and watch the river and sunsets. The location is convenient to Hyde Park for the Culinary Institute - recommend taking the tour, and the Vanderbilt and Roosevelt Mansions - and to Rhinebeck with all it's great restaurants. I'm looking forward to getting back to the Hudson River Valley."

  • Perfect cottage in the woods

"My friend and I traveled to Rhinebeck for the Dutchess County Sheep and Wool Festival in October, and everything about my experience with Dan and this cottage were top notch. We were traveling from Canada, and at every step of the way, Dan was patient and thoughtful in helping us plan our accommodations. All of our emails backs and forth were detailed and timely, and I appreciated Dan's patience and understanding with arranging payment from another country. In the days leading up to the trip, Dan sent me detailed directions to the cottage, which were incredibly helpful in navigating the local highways and winding country roads. When we arrived at the cottage after a long day of driving, Dan was right there to meet us, and he walked us through every feature of the cottage. It was fantastic, and especially appreciated the fireplace in the living room (we used it both nights we were there!). The cottage includes a small kitchen, which was perfect for putting together our own breakfasts each morning. Dan left coffee, a bottle of milk, and muffins for us in the kitchen, which was a sweet touch. Having a car with us with necessary, as the cottage is about an 8 minute drive from downtown Rhinebeck, but it was a short trip to go and find a meal or explore the town. Dan's restaurant suggestions were right on, we really enjoyed the Thai food place he recommended. The cottage includes WiFi and satellite TV, and it couldn't be a more perfect location. You can sit out on the covered porch and enjoy your coffee while you look out over the trees and the mountains in the distance. Every bit as good as the pictures, and most deserving of a 5-star review rating - highly recommended!"
