  • Great family house

"Our family had a great stay! The large deck and open floor plan downstairs made it a perfect house for our family reunion with 10 adults and 2 babies. Very clean and well cared for home."

  • A great place to stay!

"We will definitely book here again, a cute little place with a surprising amount of space! The home was clean and comfortable. The large yard and lake view were perfect. We loved the paddle boat! The owner was very accommodating and quick to answer email questions and concerns. One suggestion mentioned in other reviews that we agree with is the addition of a ladder off the dock. We had a few scraped stomachs as I tried lifting my kids from the water. Also, some property descriptions were inaccurate (no Netflix or wireless internet). However, Little York Lake provided all the entertainment we needed! Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the view! The nearby village of Homer was a wonderful destination, full of historic charm, delicious restaurants and wonderful people!"

  • Fantastic Ithaca College Graduation Weekend!

"Can't say enough about this wonderful property. The owners were always available to respond to any questions we had. The onsite caretakers were friendly and available to answer any questions we may have had during our stay The house and yard were in pristeen condition. The house was stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances and cookware as well as dishes, glassware and cutlery. Ample linens were provided for all the guests. Although the weather did not permit us to utilize the pool, the paddleboat, walking trails and firepit were enjoyed by all. It was the perfect place to hold our family reunion as we celebrated our daughter's graduation from Ithaca College. This place is truly a 10 and we would definitely recommend it."

  • A lovely property with great facilities and space

"We booked this for a vacation for our extended family, and were looking specifically for somewhere near a lake but not necessarily right on the water. it worked out brilliantly. Christine the owner was kind, helpful, polite and very responsive. We had eight adults, in four couples, and a baby with us and there was plenty of space and beds for everyone. The house officially takes 20+ people and it was very comfortable for 9, with two sitting rooms, a dining room, plenty of outdoor furniture, and four large double bedrooms, a smaller double, and a single. There was a cot for the baby, enormous amounts of bedding and towels available, and plenty of comfortable places to sit. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans and knives, the oven was easy to use, and it was well-kept and clean. Because the house can be used for large groups, there were two fridge-freezers which was great as well as a barbecue on the patio. It was easy to cook for large groups in the spacious kitchen and there was a dishwasher, meaning that the cleaning up was pretty easy. As had a 14 month old child with us, we wanted to make sure he'd be safe outside and that we would all be able to enjoy the water. The garden is huge - a long rolling lawn with a basketball hoop, benches and firepit. There's a short walk through a neighboring garden to get to the private dock and that proved ideal. The house has a pair of canoes and paddles, which we took out on the lake several times. Owasco Lake itself has quite a stony shore, but it was still possible to swim off the dock provided you wore waterproof shoes (recommended!). There's a number of very good restaurants in Auburn - we particularly liked Moro's Table (fancy & French), Lasca's (family friendly, excellent Italian trattoria), and Green Shutters (diner-style restaurant with outdoor seating and lots of ice cream choices). The Long Point State Park near the picturesque town of Aurora on Cayuga Lake and the pretty town of Skaneateles both offered good days out. We would highly recommend this place for any family or large group looking for a comfortable, clean, pleasant place to stay in the Finger Lakes. It was lovely."
